Hey if you keep the rope tight as you pull it behind you when you connect to something you will be able to feel it in the rope. So just drive covering as much water as you can until you get that click. Then you'll know that you have something. Good luck there is no telling what you will get.
P.S. Docks and bridges are your best targets for lost or dumped items.
