Damn, you nailed it with this one. I sampled it and got to say its damn close. I layered it with Tres Nuit to bring up the sweetness a tad. Side by side with GIT I can't tell the difference. Will be getting the 100ml. 👌
Appreciate the time you took to review these fragrances, exceptional detail and well thought. Here in the states, some of these fragrances aren’t readily available in stores and leaves you blind buying. So, again much appreciated. I am going to try the L’Aventure. My brother has a bottle of GIT, so I’ll be able compare them side by side. Last week I got Poker Face by Ted Lapidus ( YSL La Nuit clone) and I must say it gives me the La Nuit vibes in the dry down especially, impressive for 30$. Hopefully my L’ Aventure experience is the same !
I believe that L’Aventure Knight is the best Creed Green Irish ☘️ Tweed clone and that L’Adventure is the best Creed Aventus cone. Al’ Haramain seems to do a very good job with these two clones. IMPO 👍🏼😁🇺🇸
OldSchoolVibes 1978 I love some of the Parfums Vintage fragrances but their versions are much better than Aventus in my opinion while L’Adventure is more of a cheaper version of it. I don’t consider Parfums Vintage a cheap knock off, I consider it an improvement upon it.
@Kevin Meeks I agree. L’Aventure is my most complimented fragrance that I’ve owned and currently in my collection. I own 160+ fragrances both designer and niche. I own Aventus and many other similar fragrances, even a few Parfums Vintage.
Green Irish Tweed is my favorite fragrance in the spring. That was I waiting for:) I've got GIT and L'Aventure.100% right.Tres Nuit is too week and synthetic on my skin.Great review! Thank you Chris.
That odd smell at Tres Nuit's opening is what kept me away from it. My memory of it is sparse, but I could have sworn there was an odd rubber ball note or another quirky note like that. I threw the test strip away and had given up on it. Maybe I will give it another chance (past the open).
Never tried the original GIT myself, I did buy some ruh khus from a ebay seller and they sent a free sample of l’aventure knight and I loved it so much I bought a bottle. Come spring time or summer I can’t wait to wear this, sometimes in winter I just feel in the mood for it. Lovely lemon verbena opening and whilst I agree with Chris here about the violet leaf heart, there is more on a personal level. I live in a seaside town an in the summer when I leave my house I can smell when the tide is out in the summer, the sun evaporating the sea water off the seaweed and sand on the beach. The ambergris accord in this composition to me is the backbone that holds it all together, it is definitely a go to forever for me.
I definitely want to try L'Aventure & Knight. Just a shame that i'm unemployed for now but once the quarantine finishes I think Knight will be great for summer! Nice review
Great review mate!!! GIT performs really well in the Newcastle weather October to May, cold enough and works great!!! I have PP version and it is so good, just performs avg. Definitely picking this up
*Great teatime talk with interesting comparison around GIT!* Sprayed last weekend initial 2 sprays of GIT again after 7 month hiatus. My nose was floored again over 24 hrs. from top to bottom drydown! 💗 The drydown is IMHO liquid velvet smooth gold, refined counterplay between neverending ambergris, sandalwood and softclean musk. Another good bargain freshy with scent DNA between Cool Water and Green Irish Tweed: Coty Aspen (118 ml for 9,85 € available in Notino Germany). ☕😉👍
If you find time I’d love your opinion to help hide me here. My favorite all time frangrance is indeed GIT. Having said that, the last 2 bottles I’ve had are maybe 3-4 hours on my skin, which is absurd say that cost. I’ve tried Parfums vintage verbena fields and Emerald Isle and think both are phenomenal but the performance of each is marginally better on my skin. Is this option longer lasting? If not I’ll stick with Emerald Isle. Regards
Recently Al Haramain released Amber Oud Carbon edition, it's more expensive than this one, but according to it's also inspiration from GIT, which one do you recommend?
Like the comparison between options here. GIT clone has been on collection list for long time. I've given away 4 Alexandria Irish Gentleman samples to this point. People like the GIT.
Knowing that Green Irish Tweed has gone through many reformulations, which Creed batch of Green Irish Tweed would you say this clone closely resembles?
I never smelled GIT. But I have smelled Aspen. Aspen wasn't my cup of tea. Is it true Aspen smells similar to GIT? If it does, then I know I wouldn't like GIT.
I've never tried Green Irish Tweed, however I do own Tres Nuit. I picked it up for $18 so I didn't see much harm in blind buying it. With my skin chemistry, Tres Nuit smells exactly like freshly cut grass, and only that. Some people may find that appealing, however I have never liked that smell at all. I've been tempted to get a decant of GIT, but I've heard others describe the smell the same way, so I've just stayed away.
Thank you for your honesty. I often don't have the money to get the originals, so sometimes I wonder if I am getting a bad clone but I just don't know because I haven't smelled the original. Nonetheless, thank you for all your hard work on your entire channel. It's greatly appreciated! @@FRAGMENTAL
Honestly, you are not alone. I really like Tres Nuit and like it more than GIT to be honest. Although, to be fair, I'm not a huge GIT fan to begin with.
Great shootout Chris! This is the video I had been seeking. Many videos lack the inclusion of 1 or 2 of the key players. Your review had ALL the options, which had me curious. Have you ever smelled Generic Perfumes? I have their GIT clone, yet have not tried Creed's GIT, so far. I live the smell of Generic Perfume's option. Even if it were not accurate, I would wear it!
I wanted to wear GIT today at work, as I thought it would compliment the coloring of my outfit (I often think of it that way, aside from the temperature and function of where I'm to be at the time; I'm wearing a mint-colored shirt with a pale yellow paisley tie and black slacks - just as a reference), and what I have found - repeatedly - is that I "like the idea" of GIT more than I "actually like" the scent itself. As for the quality of it, it's certainly a good, mature fragrance, in that it's first like smelling sweet lemons in the middle of a sunny grassy Irish countryside just after a healthy rain, but - in a funny way, I end up thinking of the scent as something like making a carbonated lemon/lime soda out of Irish Spring Soap. At this point, I've only worn GIT about ten times since purchasing a decant last year (2018), but, overall, it may just be that I could see it working better as a mens aftershave than a fragrance.
Original GIT has an unmistakable smell that I don’t get with Knight. But Knight smells good and has super performance. Don’t spray too much, two squirts is enough.
Very helpful info Chris. Perhaps a tad long for my attention...hey! look at the lights!, but I think you covered the main points. I actually have GIT and 2 bottles of Tres Nuit and I just layer them. Start off with GIT as the base and then spray on Tres Nuit as the day progresses. Won't be re-buying the Armaf though, so once it goes, we'll see about getting something better to spray the sh** out of. Btw, I find that the far drydown of TN smells a lot like Platinum Egoiste by Chanel. That one has gotten so watered down these days that it's basically a gongshow. Legesi is a solid clone, but it still feels like there's something missing in there...
Yeh it ended up being pretty long but I knew if I didn't make comparisons I would get asked about them so decided to include all in one video. I considered making it two parts but it would have just been the exact same content. Also I'm sure there would be comments about milking the adsense. I sometimes watch longer videos in two parts. Great video as always Chris. I was looking at picking up a 120ml bottle of GIT last week, I went back to Notino and they’ve all been replaced with the 100ml bottles now... that cost more than the 120ml! Think I might give l’Aventure a go. Thanks for your insight.
Another great content Chris, and I have L'Aventure Knight and Tres Nuit clones to GIT, and I liked both of them is a good scent, but I prefer L'Aventure Knight to Tres Nuit and as well Cool Water. L'Aventure Knight to me might be a better clone or similar to GIT, even though I don't own GIT. And have a blessed, wonderful, productive and safe week.
Speaking of vintage, is it hard to find vi tage Coolwater and Halston Z-14? I want to eventually try both of those. I heard the Halston reminded many of Tom Ford- Italian Cypress. Heck, even Vintage Polo- Green sounds good lol.
Love green irish tweed and awesome review but my god there’s to many clones lol clones are really trying to take over I see by the way really love how your watch look what it is?
FRAG-MENTAL wow amazing I really did not think it was vincero looks like you have the chrono s rose gold from the picture not bad price 169$ cheap watch and it looks so expensive wow my friend you got me sold on one I’m going to buy one thanks
Hi Chris. Thank you for many great videos and reviews also of clones. I was wondering if you would risk an eye and do a top list of fragrance clone companies? I will start. This would be my list (performance + similarity with the original are my primary criteria): no 1: Parfumes Vintage (very close to originals sometimes improving on original's, good ingredients, versatile/many options, not cheap, costumer service terrible, no EU shipping hub) no 2: Alexandria Fragrances UK (very close to originals, large selection, a few of their own original fragrances eg Hafez 1984, EU shipping hub, cheap, good costumer service) no 3: Armaf (some big hits some misses, performance issues on some, cheap, crap atomizers and corny bottle designs) no 4: Perfume Parlour (too oily, synthetic, they have a someone records a movie in a movie theater and then sells the piracy dvd's of the movie - feel to them) L'aventure I have only tried the Aventus clone (which I like better a tat more than the Armaf one). Dua fragrances I have not tried but I have heard that they equal Alexandria Fragrances. DUA only ship from US and I find that they are often "out of stock" on their website.
I live in Dubai and this is where Al Haramain and Armaf both have their HQs. And I can tell you that Al Haramain is a bigger more classier house than Armaf. Their juice is of much better quality, pretty much in the range of Rasasi - another wonderful house from the UAE.
FOREAL THIS! I'll say this, I've worn it for a few months and the cougars at work love this scent lol. It's an old playa smell but its really close to the original. Fragrancenet has it for arround 37
Love you Chris but disagree on this one. L'Aventure Knight and Raghba by Lataffa dry down to the base pretty early and the dry downs are the easiest to get right. Green Irish Tweed has become more linear in recent years so it's easier for the clone companies to copy the recent batches (same as Aventus being so poor recently). I agree that Parfums Vintage get the nuances right and you can smell the mint, verbena and violet leaf and even Sandalwood quality in their versions. In the air there is little difference in them all (even Cool Water) however for the sheer enjoyment of inhaling a quality fragrance and being taken on an sniffing journey then I'd choose the original GIT or the Parfums Vintage. Keep up the great work with the channel.
Hi Daniel, thank you for sharing your opinion, it's great to hear as many opinions as possible. Out of all of the scents mentioned here my favourite is Emerald Isle. It just seems more substantial and muscular. Cheers 👍
I was looking for a GIT clone have sampled the original. I went with L'adventure Knight on the back of this video and I can't thank you enough Chris 👍 L'adventure Knight is a almost identical replica to GIT and lasts just as long. I am hoping to buy a full bottle of the original GIT in the future but for now, I have my spring/summer fragrance sorted!
What s great review. Because of Cool Water I wasn't the biggest fan of GIT. Strangely enough Tres Nuit made me love GIT since I first smelled it. Though it doesn't match the GIT opening, it's very close to its drydown (just nicely sweeter). To sum up, Cool Water is closer to the sharper more citrusy GIT opening and Tres Nuit is closer to its drydown. My idea now is to buy and layer Laventure Knight with Tres Nuit to get little bit of its soft sweetnes. That could work as a great GIT dupe.
Youre average person just catches a whiff passing by so as long as its deceantly close its a win, for $30 its hard to go wrong i spend more on BBQ ribs i have at my local spot LOL
@@FRAGMENTAL haven't watched it for a while. All I'd say is be aware of time.. Probably no more than 10 mins.. People loose interest and maybe don't have time.. Overall mate I enjoy your stuff
Whoever say Al Harmain dupe is better than CDNM doesn't know what his talking about. AL Harmain is basically lemon, that's it. CDNM has the best dry down ever, especially parfume or limited edition. There is nothing closer to Aventus than CDNM LE. Trust me on this one. You just go a little bit nose blind but everyone around you will smell it, especially in the air. Aventus actually doesn't project, it's basically the scent for the one who is wearing. Btw, Tres Nuit is awful smell, don't buy it...
Something about you sat in the chair Chris you are either missing a white cat on your knee with that black top or a pipe ha. Anyway I quite like the pp version but have not smelt the original. Quite like the sound of the oarfums vintage one like Violet leaf. On another note I got real sauvage, I'm not a fragrance expert or a keyboard moaner like people hating for the heck of it. I know people love it on people and while iv smelt it on others I can't enjoy it on me it's suffocating and unpleasant and smells really synthetic again that's not as an expert is it just me that really can't enjoy it
Wouldn't let me reply to you on comment di here it is.. if I'm honest mate I skipped a lot to try and get to the more salient points.. I know people nowadays want 3 minute 50 second videos or something, I know for this it's bit possible.. But I've seen top tens around 10 mins long etc.. Not being a hater mate just to give feedback to grow.. Cheers for your work..
I hear you mate. My heart sinks a little when I see someone dropped a longer video. I think I just wanted to cover all the clones in a fair amount of detail. I considered releasing it in two parts to be honest.
@@FRAGMENTAL my intention was not for your heart to drop.. Don't be disheartened mate.. I like your down to earth reviews, just felt the video in question too long and people would potentially drop out.. I want you to grow as much as you can whilst still keeping it real.. Peace. 👍
club de nuit man is no where near a good clone of aventus or even a decent fragrance.smells awful & gives me a bad headache.montblanc explorer & l'aventure are far superior clones an easy to wear.
The most excellent GIT EDP clone is by Alexandria called "The Irish Gentleman" and it IS everything GIT should be. Has that GIT fabulous opening and performs excellent in everyway. Projection 10 out of 10 and longevity is well into 10hrs+. And the Alexandria was only $70 for a 60ml bottle. So much better in everyway than Creed's GIT. And for the price, Alexandria's "The Irish Gentleman" For Men EDP totally out beats Greed GIT in everyway. Your suggestion of The Vintage Emerald Isle I got ripped off on purchasing because you promoted it and said it was a great clone of GIT. Now I have to try & resell it because of your suggestion. Urgh! That suggestion Emerald Isle so off base imho it smells NOTHING like GIT. Smells like an old lady put on too much perfume. It takes NOTHING from GIT whatsoever that I can smell to my nose. Yeah it's a beast if you like smelling like an old lady. I personally think you are helping promote this Emerald Isle JUNK. It seems that way. BTW, if you like the Emerald Isle so much would you be willing to buy it from me? I got it because of your suggestion on it. I won't ever wear it because it's a older lady's woman's perfume imho.
Even though GIT isn't for me , i'm glad it works for so many people.
So to have less expensive alternatives out there are a blessing , you can keep the origonal or more expensive fragrance for a special occasion but use the less expensive one for daily use or any time you want that vibe but don't want to waste your more expensive scent.

I hear ya. If you discover Cool Water first I guess there'll always be that association with the cheaper frag.
Hi Chris. Thank you for many great videos and reviews also of clones.
I was wondering if you would risk an eye and do a top list of fragrance clone companies?
I will start.
This would be my list (performance + similarity with the original are my primary criteria):
no 1: Parfumes Vintage (very close to originals sometimes improving on original's, good ingredients, versatile/many options, not cheap, costumer service terrible, no EU shipping hub)
no 2: Alexandria Fragrances UK (very close to originals, large selection, a few of their own original fragrances eg Hafez 1984, EU shipping hub, cheap, good costumer service)
no 3: Armaf (some big hits some misses, performance issues on some, cheap, crap atomizers and corny bottle designs)
no 4: Perfume Parlour (too oily, synthetic, they have a someone records a movie in a movie theater and then sells the piracy dvd's of the movie - feel to them)
L'aventure I have only tried the Aventus clone (which I like better a tat more than the Armaf one). Dua fragrances I have not tried but I have heard that they equal Alexandria Fragrances. DUA only ship from US and I find that they are often "out of stock" on their website.
Thanks for sharing a wealth of info on these companies 👍
Deciding BETWEEN Green Irish Tweed Clones!! Tres Nuit or This?? 🤔
This!
I live in Dubai and this is where Al Haramain and Armaf both have their HQs. And I can tell you that Al Haramain is a bigger more classier house than Armaf. Their juice is of much better quality, pretty much in the range of Rasasi - another wonderful house from the UAE.
@@shajiwahab Yes thanks!! 🎉 Will take note of this.. RASASI is in my Binoculars 🕵️♂️too!! 👀🎥📽️
Cheers 👍
Does anyone else have performance issues with Emerald Isle?
It was a blind buy for me, and honestly I thought it will knock me out, like classic l'aventure. Meanwhile this is basically Hugo Boss Energise Man...
I was looking for a GIT clone have sampled the original. I went with L'adventure Knight on the back of this video and I can't thank you enough Chris 👍
L'adventure Knight is a almost identical replica to GIT and lasts just as long. I am hoping to buy a full bottle of the original GIT in the future but for now, I have my spring/summer fragrance sorted!
*INSURRECTION 2 WILD is a great clone of PURE HAVANE maybe even better depending on personal taste.*
Video idea.. Channel clones. Perfume parlour do not do channel and there's not many videos that summarise the armafs etc
If you look hard enough you will find what you're looking for at Perfume Parlour.
tommmmmer check out joy Amin's channel for everything armaf rasasi etc!
Aspen by Coty !!! so cheap! so good!
I can't lie...I like COOLWATER 😫
It's ok, we're here for you 😂
Love the watch.
Thanks. It's about time ✌
What s great review.
Top 10 best smelling dry down vid
@0:47 Definitely whiskey I that mug. Holding a hot cup of tea for that long would burn them hands😝🍻
Youre average person just catches a whiff passing by so as long as its deceantly close its a win, for $30 its hard to go wrong i spend more on BBQ ribs i have at my local spot LOL
Ha! Good way of looking at it👍
I rub BBQ ribs on my chest and get more compliments
I like your videos mate.. But over 20 mins for small comparison is to long.. Peace
Thanks Jason. I might go Patreon so I can spend a bit more time on editing 👍
Out of interest which bits did you feel weren't needed?
I know people love it on people and while iv smelt it on others I can't enjoy it on me it's suffocating and unpleasant and smells really synthetic again that's not as an expert is it just me that really can't enjoy it
Haha brilliant Jon! I must get me a white cat to stroke😂
Peace. 👍
@@jasond626 I know what you're saying. Thanks for the feedback, it's appreciated 😉👍
club de nuit man is no where near a good clone of aventus or even a decent fragrance.smells awful & gives me a bad headache.montblanc explorer & l'aventure are far superior clones an easy to wear.
Very weak smelling alternative, just like the other GIT colognes...
Just try to refrain sucking liquids and making noise with your tongue/lips as a result of ...drainage. So noisy and distracting to say the least.
🍻
@@FRAGMENTAL I'm sorry, but please, try to review and ...understand. It is annoying. Otherwise it's fine I'm enjoying your clips.
Judas Priest! 23 minutes???!!! Get to the f##king point quicker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep. I bored myself editing this one. I apologise on behalf of me from four years ago.
