    Something I discovered, accidentally, (with my 2017 RAV4 Limited) was that the center arm rest (storage compartment lid) is adjustable. It slides forward about an inch or 2.

    Very thorough and informative. This was a great review! I had been on so many sites and was getting tired of going in circles with spreadsheets. Seeing and hearing it explained made it much easier to grasp an overview. I took notes! Buying one soon!!!

      Car Confections I actually like it quite a bit and I'm a little biased as I've fallen in love with my wife's CR-V. I've had a sporty coupe, a classic 71, now I drive a 97 pickup, but my first and best was an 02 midsized SUV, Mazda Tribute, reliable as hell. Torn between a 5 door hatch or a smaller, still fun to drive SUV or "Crossover" for my first actual nice newish car purchase. No kids but two small-ish dogs, I love to drive and I'm almost set on the Mazda3 but always keep an open mind and eyes. Nice review, I'll be back for more.

    Why is it that almost every reviewer has to rev the engine while showing the tail pipe. Who does that with theirown car and what is it supposed to prove ? Excellent review.

    Thorough review overall. The XLE comes with smartkey access though, not unique to the platinum 23:05

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  7 лет назад +2

      Thanks! At 23:05 I was actually referring to having smart access on all 4 doors (Platinum exclusive) versus only on the front 2 doors (optional or standard on the rest of the trims). Sorry for any confusion!

    • @CarConfections

      For 2018 there will be a new Adventure model with more off-road capable gear and trim pieces for appearance. There may be handful of equipment level changes (not announced yet) but there won't be any significant changes.

    No power seats on xle trim? Here in Canada, power seats are standard on xle and up. Also, a heated steering wheel comes standard on se grades and up

    I’m expecting a new redesign 5th generation RAV4 2019 or RAV4 2020 will be a bit sportier and more aggressive, more eco, bigger, nicer, safer, stronger, and higher than this 4th generation .
    The front of the vehicle shall be semi- AUDI Q8 2018,
    and the rear of the vehicle shall be semi- BMW X7 2018 .

    The Rav4 needs more ground clearance. Every Rav4 I see has the tailpipe hanging too low. By the way, don't rev the engine, it proves nothing and is also very annoying. Nice review..

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  7 лет назад +2

      +Irving Bazua Hi Irving! Toyota very confusingly made changes to every trim in the middle of the 2017 model year. They deleted previously standard equipment and reduced the price, but did not indicate this with a change in model year. One of those features are the roof rails which are no longer standard. Thanks for watching!

    Why is the RAV4 missing
    Remote start
    Non turbo charged engine
    More than 8 way seats
    Panoramic sunroof
    Soft dash
    OUTDATED chime from last generation
    Ventilated seat opcion
    Led map lights
    Soft upper rear door
    REAR AIR VENTS
    Nicer head liner
    Power passenger seat
    For the platinum trim level and being the most expensive car in this class
    But there are some things that I like about this
    Standard safety package
    Perimeter scan
    360 camera
    Foot activated power liftgate
    Cargo space

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  7 лет назад +2

      The XLE comes standard with CONNECTED navigation which goes through your smartphone. You can get a package on the XLE to make it have integrated nav ($940).

  • @vfrav8r
    @vfrav8r 7 лет назад +4

    Informative and s l o w paced video. I liked how the RAV drives & standard radar cruise. I wish a reviewer would just call a duck a 'duck'. The Rav looks like a space ship or star wars helmet. Ugly. The packages and lines are odd (Le, XLE, act). For example, I've been looking for Apple Car Play, heated seats, AWD, and a back up camera. Simple. To get what I want requires a costly numerous package upgrades. Now the price is in prized CRV & Outback territory.

      Car Confections i bought mine 2017 rav4 le fwd and it is not equipped with TPMS. I brought it back to the dealer and they said only the "US MADE" had TPMS but if it is build here in Canada, they don't have it. Is this true?

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  7 лет назад +2

      Andrew Diano Hi Andrew. I am not sure who you spoke to, but tire pressure monitoring is required on all vehicles sold in the U.S. by law. Also there are no "U.S made" RAV4s since all North American RAV4s are all assembled in Ontario Canada. Hope this helps!

    • @CarConfections
      @CarConfections  7 лет назад +2

      Wait, do you live in Canada?

    • @anjod585
      @anjod585 7 лет назад +2

      Car Confections Yes i do. I bought mine somewhere in Alberta, Canada. My really concern is i saw one promotional video from one dealer in Ontario and that Rav4 has TPMS on it. I am wondering why mine doesnt have one. Just last week one of my rear driver tire blown out while driving 80kph on a highway. If i only had TPMS i could have pull my car over and check my tire. I know one of the reason why your tire might blows out if your are running it flat.
