At least Timex is honest about having their watches made in the Philippines! How many "Swiss Made" watches are sourced up to 40% from China, Philippines, and other areas outside of Switzerland?!?
Jay Sikes fo sho. Tag and Breitling are offenders in this field, using eta's but charging Rolex prices. Absolute scumbag companies. Tonnes of other dogshit watchmakers. At least Timex are straight up, advising its not fancy, made in Philipines, but it does what it says on the box, they dont pretend to be something else.

@@victoriaanino1619 unfortunately, w/ the prevailing local business climate where chinese companies are being given preference over others, that is a remote possibility. there are chinese made watches in the world market like the sea-gull, pagani, parnis, etc but china definitely won't outsource the manufacturing of those because they need jobs over there too lest beijing desires to court unrest.
Where ever it is made..if high quality materials are used..just like Timex ..all it takes is licking..to keep on ticking.. hats off to fine workmanship.. n pure display of skilled craftsmanship here..

To my surprise, I find Timex to be very accurate. In fact, I think it’s the most accurate quartz I have used so far.

Amazing video. gives so much insight into how complex it would be to setup a watch manufacturing plant. So much infrastructure and technology required to build a watch.

I'm sold. I want a Timex.
Just picked one up from a local car boot fair. Gold in colour, matching gold expanding strap. Hand winding movement in pristine condition. Keeping time like quartz. Classic design, cannot find a mark on it anywhere. Paid the princely sum of £5.00 for it and yes it has made in the Phillipines stamped on the back.
That was great! Even the ticking that Timex are known for at the end 😂 I own a couple that came out of that factory and have 0 complaints on quality especially at the price you pay.

Very reliable watch. I own many brands but I always have respect for Timex. It's an American classic wherever it's made. Very unpretentious that even a watch snob will recognize.

Honestly don't know how folk rate them, give me a cheap Japanese movement over a Philippines Timex any day of the week. The movements in these things are absolute crap.

I'm appalled that Timex, once an icon of American quality, has stooped so low and sacrifice that quality in order to exploit a depressed economy that has poor workmanship. . I received two of the above model as gifts. Both had defective crowns/pins. Why? They were both made in the Philippines. You should be ashamed.
