Thanks, Tobias. The belt keepers work fairly well. My problem is the way I carry it cross draw. The handle sticks out about 3 inches from my body. It's okay for around the apartment, but hip carry is more practical. I'm not a big fan of small of back scout carry either. Oh well, you never know until you try.
Thanks Tobias, and William. Thought I would chime in ref the Izula II (3.25" blade). I can get 3 screws to fit with the clip in a scout carry position which I find secure enough. With only 2 screws installed I can wear it canted slighted upward even with the somewhat heavy micarta handles. In winter I can clip the knife over my belt and pants for sturdiness, in summer I clip it over a 1.5 or 1.75" belt. The shorter clip on the Izula II makes it easier to scout carry with an insignificant amount of droop. If I wear it vertically it rides perfectly.
The nylon sheath is made by ESEE and is designed for use by the Izula, izula2 and Candiru. Normal called the Izula MOLLE back sheath. I got mine at SMKW, it comes with the hardware to attach the kydex sheath. ( currently sold out there. The belt clip is also made by ESEE and is sold separately or also sometimes with an Izula Survival Kit. I think they have switched the clip but it is still out there
Thanks...I just got mine today and didn't research as well as I should have...it's more comfortable to carry horizontally...great little knife though...Shame they didnt design it like that...thanks for the reply
@@matthewmcelwain , most of the time I either just drop it in my pocket with the kydex scabbard or hang it around my neck under my shirt. It’s pretty light.
I bought that same molle setup for my Izula 2 after seeing the video you made on it awhile back. I wear it vertical on my hip, and it's quite a bit better than having the knife ride so high on your belt. So thanks for putting that one on my radar, buddy!
I have a few knives I have adapted to horizontal cross draw carry. I have a TOPS Pit stop that I just rotated the clip on, Old-timer generational sharp finger I purchased a cross draw leather sheath for and a Bark river ultralite bushcrafter that I purchased some leather pull dot straps to adapt the sheath foe cross draw. I thought about getting the izula but honestly I probably don't need it especially since I would likely end up buying a custom sheath for it too.
I mentioned the TOPS clip on William’s channel. The downside of the rotating clip is that it is somewhat bulky. The plus side is it can go from vertical to horizontal with easy.
Can you turn the clip around? My clip has a slim side for nylon belts and a thicker side for thicker leather belts. Seems to work well either way for me.
Hi Tobias: I guess, in a pinch…..or until a better idea presents itself, you could just clip the sheath to the waistband of your pants instead of your belt. I tend to go that way so I don’t have to fiddle with my belt if I want to take the knife off. 🤔

Where did you get that belt setup? Looks like you can attach the sheath directly to it? If you can send a link it would be appreciated

I wonder if you could fasten a piece of leather for the belt loop with pop Chicago screws or even pop rivets?
Sure, just bought that very thing.
Great demonstration, the handle is a bit long for these sheaths. That is why i just jam it down in my front pocket. Thanks for sharing!!
Leather Sheath? Doesn’t GA Adventurer already make one?
Looks like it works great 👍

I'll need to give it a look see.

Maybe ataching a tech-lock system could be an option, although it puts the knife further away from the body. Ducttape would do the trick haha.
Nice 👍👍
THE SOLUTION HIS USE A PARACORD or zip tie !!system D because never has a problem just the solutions!!!!
Wear a leather belt
