Wonderful, Taz and Bec - Melbourne having the best weather!
Thank you Tas and Bec. So nice to see what Bec is up too.
Thank you Tash and Bec! I love these episodes with the two of you. I love how your Storm Sweater is coming along Bec. Tash, I look forward to your No Frills/Monday Sweater comparison as I’m planning on knitting the No Frills next. I will also definitely try Cascade Pima this summer. I am in snowy Canada but not envious of the heat you’re experiencing. 😊
So great seeing Bec! Great episode 👏
Thank you Tash and your lovely friend Bec for another episode. Always good to see you and all you make or planning to make. See you next time Tash.
Always a treat to see Bec! You two have such a lovely friendship, and I love seeing what you each knit and the yarns you prefer. Thanks for the tip about the Skein Studio podcast. I’m always looking for new things to watch while I knit, and wait for your next episode to drop. 😃
I really like those crochet hooks, they are easy on the hands. Fun show.
Great episode with you two friends!! So fun and exciting!!
Morning Ladies. What a treat to see youse together again bouncing off each other. Our very own Aussie version of "Those Twins Who Knit", eh? ;) Thanks for an enjoyable episode. You always provide food for thought and inspiration. Bec your Storm looks glorious and good to know that the fit can work for you, with a few tweaks, in relation to Tash's sized version. Glad you were able to spend some quality time together again. Enjoy your day and weekend. xx
Happy New Year Tash and Bec! 🎊 🎉Thanks so much for sharing your lovely visit with us! All the best for the year ahead. I am going to finish the Margaret sweater by Lene Homes Samso, - leknit tonight. I too am going to stash down, love the yarn I knit it in, so light and cozy, and fluffy, and all from stash😊
Such a lovely podcast Tash and Beck.
It's always nice to see your plans. I will check out the Skein Studio Podcast
Fabulous episode!!
That was lovely. I think you two need to make this a quarterly thing 🤭😂 enjoy the tennis
Enjoyed the fun episode - nothing better than sharing knitting passion with a friend. One idea for the socks would be to work them inside out. I’m working on the egg yolk socks and it really helps with the floats. Hard to explain but you can google it 😉
Great pod per usual. I just can't believe there is such a great yarn store in Brisbane with its warm climate. I find it amazing. It sounds pretty wonderful.
I'm wondering if the abundance of yarn shops in Australia is a newish thing. I spent a month there about 7 years ago and never encountered 1. I stayed mostly in Adeaide. Mmm I wasn't a knitter then so maybe didn't notice.
Regular viewer and love the podcast. I used the Woolfolk Luft (in stash) for a Twisted Affair and found the yarn hard on the hands, particularly when cabling. The yarn has no stretch or springiness. Found myself resorting to laceweight linen project for a bit of light relief.
Cheer for IGA! Have fun!
Living in the country now (used to live ten mins from Skeinsisters) I now buy mostly online and The Little Yarn Store is one of my two go- to shops, they have so many brands I love. I used Isager Highland as my MC for my TessellatedCardigan as I loved the colour (‘Sky’)and I really liked this yarn, you could definitely use it on its own and it would be a light sweater great for quite a few months of Sydney weather whereas adding mohair will restrict your usage . I’d go for it on its own.
Lovely! Bec, I find it odd that they recommend not catching the long float on the socks. I find the fabric is definitely more stretchy if you do catch floats, as you end up with a longer path for that yarn between stitches (did that make sense?) Enjoy the tennis Tash!
Lovely video. Two BFFs and great knitters. I must ask you both, what is your favourite hat/beanie/toque pattern of all time? Thank you!
I love the storm sweater with the flecks of color. I have Sandnes garn poppy and wonder if I could use it for the storm sweater? Also have are you blocking? Full wet blocking with wool wash or steam?
May I ask why you did the start of the hat in the bigger size needles please Tash?
P.S Tash your goal for next week is NOT to use the word "hat" in any given sentence .Good luck with that. ;) x
