A 10 year difference between someone 40 and 50 doesn't produce much of a difference. You can't use a comparison like that in this case. There is a far larger difference between someone 14 and 24 than there is someone 25 and 50. Also, you can still have plenty of things in common despite age differences. You're caught up on the differences that you're neglecting the plethora of basic things you can have in common with someone.

I think it honestly depends on how old the person is and their maturity level. I am 22 turning 23 soon and I have a hard time finding friends who are in my age range, let alone get along with it, connecting with them because I don’t enjoy doing what most young people like doing. My parents are almost 12 years apart but they never met each other until much much later in life. I was searching for the next episode of a Spanish soap opera I've been watching called Teresa (which has NOTHING to do with this video. It's a show about a young woman who is ultra greedy to the point where other characters are getting angry at her and one guy pulled a gun on her. That's how greedy she has gotten and I'm not even done with the series yet. Also, the show is in SPANISH, it's not even in English) and this video mysteriously popped up in my search results. The other stuff I watch on RUclips is stuff related to video games, pro wrestling, 80's and 90's music videos and movies. I've had problems where gaming and wrestling related channels I am subscribed to and watch NEVER show up in my recommendations and I never get notifications from them despite me being subscribed to them and having notifications on., but this video did get recommended to me AND showed up in my search results when I was looking for Teresa, which is completely unrelated to this video. I am confused by the algorithm.
If this was my son doing this I would know I failed as a parent.
Real talk. One of the first things I thought after watching this was, "Where is this young man's father? How could he have allowed this to happen?"
We are a failed society because today such as this is enⲥⲟυⲅαged and ⲣⲅⲟmoted.

I'm gay and I agree with you on that sentiment. I imagine the young guy grew up without a father and is trying to fill that void by dating this older man. Or maybe he has a father who didn't show him affection or love, thus a very poor relationship. And suffers from daddy issues. Either way, it's not normal.
