Am I the only one who noticed that the 'bully' liked him too and was doing some of that to get his attention? He just didn't know how to express it. Hence the over the top actions.
There's more to this story than what we're being shown. This is just a snapshot from a bigger story we don't get to see. Everyone has their theories, but it's just from looking at a clip, not the whole picture. The bully never really bullies the shy boy directly and covers for him when he gets pushed down the stairs. Did they have a history we don't know about? Is bully a bully because he's hiding his gay? His home life is obviously rough. I want the full story
It's a short - unfortunately, you're not going to get any more than what's been given. Did we even watch the same clip? Because I'm pretty sure the antagonist bullies the protagonist on the bus and again in class with the love note. I also agree w. others that Vassilis was just covering his a$$ so he didn't look weak in front of his friends. He wasn't covering for Dimitri even if he acknowledged him at the end. You can draw from the flashback of when Dimitri was watching Vassilis that he was pretty much into him from the edited slow motion of him lifting up his shirt. At the same time he's petrified of him and what he might do during school prayer because he witnessed him bullying other students in addition to being bullied himself. It's pretty well-established that most vocal homophobes suffer from internal homophobia and I'm sure there's some toxic parenting going on at home, but I don't think his father being pissed at hitting him for acting out in class is disproportionate to what parents who believe in corporal punishment would do.
Wow, Dimitri is such a shy, handsome & breathtaking. Seems like he is attracted to another guy with a light green shirt Vassili😛😛.Yet, during class, Vassili threw an object to a fellow girl student & then showed the "I ♥♥you" sign. Then he got sent to the principal's office for disciplinary action. Then his parents were pounding & cursing at him. So, me & my cat enjoyed watching this episode & it always keeps my cat's ears up like an owl 🦉LOL Awesome! 😛😛😸😸👍👍✌✌🌈🌈

If they would have ended up linking in the locker room, this would have been great. But nothing happened except the loser kept on being a bully, not learning his lesson..and beautiful shy boy didnt get laid
Vassilis is everything that shy Dmitri is not... athletic, outgoing, popular and cocky. That's prob much of the allure. But mostly, I think, Dmitri is physically attracted to him, in spite of the fact that he acts like a jerk. It happens in life all the time. And Vassilis is clearly basking in Dmitri's desire... he even purposely shows off his bare torso to him. Probably attracted to the beautiful but shy boy, but must appear oh so macho among his friends to ever reveal it. The subtleties expressed here are complex and terrific.
Who supposedly fell in love? The central character seem just angry. The whole description is SO misleading. This movie has no point. The bully stayed a bully, even after the parents meeting and the "incident". Looks to me like Dimitri is about to go the _Dexter_ route.
This literally looked like a documentary, the acting, the atmosphere and everything was far too real. No kid should be required to go to school if theyre going to be bullied.
Vassilis plays around a lot but is definitely not the usual awful MEAN High School bully; he's mostly just a show-off popular kid entertaining his friends...also notice too, he NEVER actually *bullies* Dimitri...almost never even speaks to him. Seems to me Vassilis is more confused, fascinated, puzzled--about his feelings--for this beautiful solemn boy who is always staring at him. Vasssilis finds himself returning those stares.... perhaps gradually discovering his own *difference* .. He is aware that the moody dark-haired Dimitri likes him *that* way...but has no idea how to respond or what to do about it (yet). So, when the frustrated dark-haired boy desperate for his attention deliberately trips him on the stairs, Vassilis protects Dimitri and says nothing . He did not want adults, or his friends and followers further tormenting Dimitry. 🔥❌❤ What happens next are a set of open possibilities outside this movie. But I want to think that they become friends and find a way to work out their relationship to each other while they also discover the truth about their developing personal identities.💥🔥
This was very well directed and the acting done well, and yet most will not really see so much of the story here. This is not what is marketed in most the commercially sold populist hero stories produced in these times. It makes me think a lot. Teenaged empaths as boys face specific challenges. Especially those who are level six. Ironic they are often mistaken as lacking male qualities. But they do not make an easy story for the Writer for all the interesting qualities they posess. Not in Western civlization.
This is a good short film - there’s a complete story from beginning to end. Some comments didn’t like the end but I thought it was just right: Dimitri and Vassili stare at each other and 1) Vassili knows that Dimitri had the guts to push him & 2) they know that they are attracted to each other but won’t do anything about it. The bully is often the insecure one (just watch the way he walks when his parents come to the school & his father hits him on the head). It’s a believable story. Technically there were issues with uneven lighting, and some very long shots needed to be shorter. And lastly, none of those guys can play basketball at all. They can’t even dribble. They were so bad that it was a distraction. Otherwise, this short film works well.
@pelagaki97 Thank you! I noticed that in our Catholic liturgy ελέησον was misspelled as eleison. The Latin alphabet doesn't have an η so an "i" was substituted. Now it makes (some) sense.
Dimitri is a frakken doll and half!? Soo is this typical Greek? painfully scarring with no stated change or with an ambiguous resolute? Charming. I need a little fantasy, cuz this is just reality,...
That is one of the most beautiful human faces I have ever seen. He's a good actor too. So this is a religious school but is also a complete dump covered in grafiti, with hostile teachers (TWO of them) and discipline problems everywhere? I find it implausible that Dimitri would be hot for the "popular" guy. He is so completely an asshole with zero redeeming qualities. I guess Dimitri could have a masochistic streak which would explain things. Despite its flaws, it's a well-made film and the acting is good.
I guess I just didn't get it. The beautiful and bullied introvert moons over one of the bullies who make his life miserable. The teachers and principal pretend not to know what's going on. The bullied boy responds with violence and gets away with it. No one learns anything. No one's issues are resolved. Life goes on as usual. Okay, so maybe it's realistic, but we already knew that.
Very much a Greek version of Jean Cocteau stories of soulful gay boys attracted to handsome hunks who are totally oblivious. That is the difference here : the jock hunk is targeting weaker or perceived gay guys to bully. But Dmitri finally turns the tables and sends him down the stairs and eventually crutches.

Am I the only one who noticed that the 'bully' liked him too and was doing some of that to get his attention? He just didn't know how to express it. Hence the over the top actions.
I noticed too, it's actually kind of cute:D
Yeah, I did too!
He was showing his sentiments by nonverbal actions. Interesting!
What the name of this movie pls@@koorosh2002
somehow I missed it?! Point it out? I did notice that Dimitris put on the bully's sweater at one point..
Yeah like how he was constantly revealing his body just for him to see
Dimitri is exqusitely beautiful. A soulful, haunting beauty.
I agree
the bully didn't want to admit that Dimitri had had his revenge.
Interesting observation.
That prayer in the square scene was top tier.
Dimitri is so gorgeous that even the bully doesn't even worth his time wtf
Dimitri is freaking cute and handsome like a sclpture
He looks like me 😅
Actually the one like Dmitry would be the more attractive one in my country 😂
Forced pray is not pray at all...God looks at the heart. And to have one of His creations trusting in Him enough to talk with Him. Have a wonderful live in His son Yeshua (Jesus)...peace...❤❤❤❤❤
Because it's all bullshit.
If they would have ended up linking in the locker room, this would have been great. But nothing happened except the loser kept on being a bully, not learning his lesson..and beautiful shy boy didnt get laid
The curly haired guy is so pretty, like wtf?!
i have no idea what this means but it was a good film for my cereal 😭😭
Vassilis is everything that shy Dmitri is not... athletic, outgoing, popular and cocky. That's prob much of the allure. But mostly, I think, Dmitri is physically attracted to him, in spite of the fact that he acts like a jerk. It happens in life all the time. And Vassilis is clearly basking in Dmitri's desire... he even purposely shows off his bare torso to him. Probably attracted to the beautiful but shy boy, but must appear oh so macho among his friends to ever reveal it. The subtleties expressed here are complex and terrific.
imagine if teachers actually did their job
@Nhân Hoàng barely
@Nhân Hoàng I totally agree with you. It is the parents who have to raise the children, not the teachers. They are only there to teach 🙂
@@susannelarsen4842 They are also there to take care of the students.
@@susannelarsen4842 its also a teacher's job to nurture a nontoxic learning environment and in doing so you remove distractions(bullies)....
@@StrangeStartrackerArtnope.
sis will soon come to a conclusion "wtf was I thinking?", my man is literally all the definitions of a walking-talking red flag.
Dimitri certainly is a Beautiful Young Man.
Wow Dimitri is gorgeous 🔥
He was attracted to that, no way, I think it was loathing.
What happens next are a set of open possibilities outside this movie. But I want to think that they become friends and find a way to work out their relationship to each other while they also discover the truth about their developing personal identities.💥🔥
I don't see he fell for the bully. Btw Dimitri's visuals are no joke damn 😭🖐
I was in this situation in high school this queers bullying is very popular in so many schools in Africa 😢😢😢 woiye poor Dimitris
why are these films always tragicly filled with hearttbreak and conflict....
This was very good. I like that it is subtle and doesn't tell you too much, but lets you figure it out.
The bully is a coward. Without his friends, he is a total wimp.
I noticed that Modern Greek pronounces the η in ελεησον as if it were an ι. ("have mercy".)
You are right. The vowels η, υ, and the combinations ει, οι, are ponounced the same way as ι in modern greek.
@pelagaki97 Thank you! I noticed that in our Catholic liturgy ελέησον was misspelled as eleison. The Latin alphabet doesn't have an η so an "i" was substituted. Now it makes (some) sense.
Damnn Dimitri was very cute wen he packed his hair
he is not in love .. he hates bully boys and avenges himself
I got bored easily, but I stayed for dimitri
The boy lived in pain...i can testify about such pain😢
Good grief, are children all over the world so horrible towards each other in school, or is this just for the drama in the movie?
Dimitri is a frakken doll and half!? Soo is this typical Greek? painfully scarring with no stated change or with an ambiguous resolute? Charming. I need a little fantasy, cuz this is just reality,...
"THAT Popular BOY SHOULD FALL FOR DIMITRI" 😮💨
BRO, DIMITRI IS GORGEOUS
An interesting film. I felt sympathy for all the characters, but I can't say in the end that I actually liked any of them.
Interesting, well done. Not a predictable storyline.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!❤
That is one of the most beautiful human faces I have ever seen. He's a good actor too.
So this is a religious school but is also a complete dump covered in grafiti, with hostile teachers (TWO of them) and discipline problems everywhere?
I find it implausible that Dimitri would be hot for the "popular" guy. He is so completely an asshole with zero redeeming qualities. I guess Dimitri could have a masochistic streak which would explain things.
Despite its flaws, it's a well-made film and the acting is good.
It's not a religious school. All schools in Greece do morning prayer
@@frejafan Any school that has a morning prayer is a religious school to me.
Praying is sort of a religious thing to do.
@@morningsminion3242 it's not considered religious in Greece. Just normal school
Sorry but th3 bully was looking like you push me and the one who was getting bully said yea I pushed yo ass down the stairs 😂😂❤❤
I am not gay but still I am falling for Dimitri, wtf is wrong with me😨
i got news for you 😭

Very much a Greek version of Jean Cocteau stories of soulful gay boys attracted to handsome hunks who are totally oblivious. That is the difference here : the jock hunk is targeting weaker or perceived gay guys to bully. But Dmitri finally turns the tables and sends him down the stairs and eventually crutches.
People failed to notice that bully hold the sign " I L U " to guy but he turn around and didn't see it or was it to the girl next him.? The girl didn't turn at all!!!!!
No, the sign was meant for Dimitri, but only to further harass him, since he saw how Dimitri had been looking at him.
It was to the boy. You’re right.
School officials was treating students like a prisoner. I can’t believe it.
The set of people I detest most are bullies....I hate them bcuz they derives joy in making weak people their major source of fun...... bullies can make weak people commit suicide when they can't take it anymore,nd I also don't like teachers that overlook it like bullying is not a biggie.
Your description is part of the problem as it propagates the stereotype that lack of aggression is weakness.
@@michaelstuermer3915
Excuse me,do u really understand wht I wrote down there......I only gave my opinion about bullies which will never change just bcuz someone doesn't agree with me.
Why can't this be propagated?the stereotype is telling us about "bullies" not trying to propagates lack of aggression is weakness or whatever u mean..... though this is fictional but bullies are getting much every Fu*king day.
Not all victim of bullying are weaklings but they only try to abstain from aggression......most bullies are people of high status.
Moreover I gave an opinion not a description.
this story reminds me last year when i fell for my best friend but he was a straight one
Forcing kids to lead or say prayers in school is child abuse.
Wrong 😅
Oh shut up
Noone is forced actually.
Prayer in school is fine for those that want it , but it's TOTALLY unfair to FORCE it on others using grades as a way to do it ..just disgusting 😡. But let's just IGNORE all the bullying happening around you 😒😡smh
Why you so dramatic
@@btsforlifesisarmyforlife3019 I don't think I'm dramatic I simply hate bullying. I was bullied when I started school in the states for being foreigner and different..so this short was triggering not so good memories. ✌😒
@@jaguy4u2 You don't even have to be a foreigner. I was bullied in the Swedish countryside for being a city boy. Later I was bullied for being good in school. One of my exes was bullied because her father had the most successful farm in the parish. Bullies simply invent a pretext to bully.
@@francisdec1615 yea right, it's sad but true 😞
I know in a short film it can seem you can't tell a whole story, but I do get tired of the whole, silent mysterious ambiguity of it all. You can tell a whole story in a few sentences; with 20 minutes, there's plenty of time.
can't imagine i wasted my time watching this... argghhh wanted some chemistry on both ends, irregadless dimitrii is cute.
The supposed bully was the real star here who had just as many problems as the curly haired guy. He knows he is at least bisexual but doesn't know how to handle it. He hides behind bravado. He is the good looking one, Dimitri is just too pretty for a man.
I love this it such masterpiece 😊
yeah I have always been falling in love like this
They still force you to pray every morning at school? I've been away from Greece for almost 30 years. I would have thought they'd evolved since then.
I wonder if Vassili swings both ways with a name like that. Dimitri is the typical 'ugly duckling' in Hollywood, who magically blossoms into a swan by letting her hair down and taking her glasses off. 😁
I didn't see anyone fall in love there's no story, but about a bully.
Dimitri is the cute boy with horrible taste
The dark headed kid is a beautiful boy
And you?
I haven't understood what was the ending. Somebody pls explain me
so no ones going to say about the psycho little kid Dimitri shoving someone down the stairs how crazy
magnifique j ai connu 1 garcon comme lui aussi beau a Ibiza
I hope to god this is a first year film school submission
Please take part 2 beautiful theme ❤
The boy is gorgeous
This is what happens when the Greek School runs out of handsome boys! You shattered my imagination by making that guy in the green shirt the most popular person in school! Your joke is outrageous!
You are so tough. You're watching a bullying movie here, maybe even condemning those bullies. But now you bullied that kid in the green shirt... that kid is probably reading the comments Not only you, but many people called the boy in the green shirt ugly. By watching this movie, you feel sorry for the person who is being bullied, but you are also the bully. Bullying isn't just in the movies, man.
Most of the people filmed here are of Albanian origins except Dimitri
Excellent movie! Very well made!
