- How to ELIMINATE engine/EXHAUST blue SMOKE? Most comon problem with exhaust blue smoke is bad condition of valve stem seal. Oil from engine head goes trought valve stem seal and burn in engine cylinder. After that burn oil goes trought exhaust and result is blue smoke. In most of cases problem is bad condition of valve stem seals.
