2001 F-250 7.3 not a puff of smoke to be found, even on start up! Glad to hear that's a good thing! 😊
I wanted blue smoke so I switched to the oil on display in your video....worked perfect
Very informative. Thanks
Thank you for that very clear explanation!
When your engine is burning more fuel than air ,your fuel gauge will move faster too.Another reason faulty fuel rail and fuel rail pressure sensor.
GOod video, I have a Mazda T3500 2 tonne dump truck which smokes white during idle and from my prespective I think the engine is taking air from the return fuel line.
Is that a possible problem?
My lb7 only smokes white when outside temps are below 5degrees Fahrenheit. Especially when I accelerate. I attribute it to condensation from the cold. Am I right? It runs and idles smooth, never smokes when temps are warmer out and it starts up with almost no starter action. She’s a great rig but the white smoke on extra cold days freaks me out
Nice thanks
My renault trafic 163 k ,,has blue smoke after sitting overnight,,how do you diagnose if its cylinder based or turbo seals based ,there is a spooling noise from the turbo like a small jet engine ? Many thanks 😊
Saw a old Freightliner with puffy white smoke coming out of the exhaust. Loud ticking noise. Wanted to let the driver know he may need a new head soon.
What if it’s deleted tenical it’s still healthy but it still puffs out black smoke so
I got white smoke today on my diesel and now my exhaust tips look frothy. Would anyone know whats going on?
Hi. I am having this intermittent white smoke from my diesel car. It comes out for when the engine drives for a while and stops after about 5 to 10mins. Coolant level is steady but can't seem to place why the white smoke comes and goes. Please do you have any idea?
Happened to mine 2,5 littler when I do 4 to 5 gear and flat out on accelerator a bit of smoke come out what does mean that thanks
I have a 2006 Ram 2500 with a 5.9, and it has been emmiiting white/blue ish smoke and it runs completely fine and is just very smokey
I can help you where are rocket?
@@ovakwaitatradingentertainm5726 where am I located?
I’m having the same issue. What’s the cause?
I have a Toyota 2.5 2KD. I removed the DPF because it was clogged. i then started to get white smoke? what can be the cause?
I like the black smoke for my Volvo 740DL with an D24 motor with Turbo :(. You can call the engine D24Tic if it has an turbo or an supercharger in it.
Just did a Amsoil flush, then 10 liters of signiture Amsoil, wix oil & air filter change, I have a Provent 200 blow by filter. Getting bluish white on start up, Once warmed up and even on hard acceleration no smoke ? your thoughts ?
Valve seal rings need replacement. Watch your oil levels regularly until it get replaced.
I have a brand new 22KVA (96A) Diesel generator and it’s blowing white smoke from the exhaust!! any idea why?

Grab your tools and get to it.
@Muez Sbeta. It might be water in your engine. Moisture gives of white smoke too
Mine dumps a white /brown on start up and a bit of similar on full boost. Get a shite pulse on full throttle too, pulls great at 75%. Any thoughts?
And it's notably worse if I sit at idle for a few mins before pulling away
I have a 5L diesel engine and I got a problem about engine head and I've already fixed it and now I got another problem is when I want to start the car it gives me blue smoke after that when driving it gives me white smoke again
Did you find out the reason? My Toyota 2l Na is giving me white smoke
@@sohnimemesbyshahidpervez5402 problem of water mixtures with oil
Did you find the problem finally?
I just rebuilt my truck and when I’m idling there is a little bit of white smoke but when I get on the gas it gets lots of black smoke
Condensation.
@@GriffyWdaGrippy does this “hurt “ the truck . Well my powerstroke gets hurt when you even look at it , but you know what I mean 😂😂
@@hitman__3926 I am beyond lost
@@GriffyWdaGrippy lol is condensation bad my boy ! Don’t you speak Ford !
@@hitman__3926 no condensation isn't bad. Happens with every vehicle. My truck blows white smoke, and then grayish after the white is done. Every start, no engine lights, and everything works smoothly on it
I get white smoke randomly only when driving only. Most likely to happen when pulling hills or hard acceleration when under a heavy load. Engine sounds fine, weak acceleration power.
Been going on for over a year now, still haven’t figured out the problem 😢

Maf sensor ?
@@gw2031 I tried everything ! spent thousands of dollars with mechanics cleaning/replacing sensors & emissions parts .. still had the same problems . Only thing left to do was get a new DPF/DOC or EGR Cooler or Fuel Injectors and HOPE one of those fixes the issue *these are $5,000+ repairs we’re talking about*
@@gw2031 so I weighed my options .. with the way trucking has been as of late I couldn’t afford to keep throwing money at repairs .. and finally decided to give in ✂️✂️
@@gw2031 it’s been about 3 months and I have to say IT WAS THE BEST DECISION IVE EVER MADE! Much better fuel economy .. no white smoke .. increased engine power .. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS so far 🙌🏾
@@rakimmason8 What was it, fuel Injectors? Or did you buy a petrol engine 😂?
Not really a “problem” if it’s black smoke
Incorrect
@@ZeroHorsePower You don't get what he is saying.
Maf sensor
what about a yellowish-brownish smoke? after sitting for a few months i fired up my diesel and went for a drive and noticed a yellowish-brownish smoke while driving normally, i drove it hard and it went away.
That’s just the rats nest burning off sir.
Nitrogen oxides.
what about when revving to 3k rpm what color is normal (diesel)
No visible smoke, maybe a blip if burying the throttle, but that's it.
Purple
I have blue smoke coming from my exhaust on idle, no power loss and mpg seems great?
Me too. That’s why I’m here as well. I’m afraid to take loads in and out of California tho
I think if it's blue smoke that means it burns oil. Do you have to top up oil sometimes?
@@jukipapaja4125 no never, oil level is fine and no leaks
Got the same problem with my vehicle..bluish smoke coming out from exaust in cold start but it runs good..i always just check oil levels and coolant level everytime i start engine.
Idle always? Or only when cold?
👍👍👍
no mentioning of bad timing for black smoke
Bluesmoke
Mind engine is bring white stomle and the engine is not starting
12 valve owners watching this 🙃
what if it just puff blue smoke on start up
valve stem seals are going bad, it lets oil seep into the combustion chamber when it sits over night then when you start it the next day it burns the oil

Amsoil is garbage. I have taken so many motors apart and they are all sludged up from amsoil. Worst oil on the market
