I love watching film and drawing up hundreds of plays vs all kinds of defensive, as a current high school football assistant coach, this video gives me a small look into the football life I aim to achieve. Thank you for making this video -A Dolphins fan
When I started coaching FB, I was breaking film down using VHS then padding on huge cards for practice, separate cards for game, per position, with % of the opponent tendencies, etc. Its a VERY HARD JOB TO DO AT HS & COLLEGE LEVELS. AT NFL LEVELS ITS ANOTHER ANIMAL.
D1 and nfl have pff ultimate and a lotta is automated into auto cutups. Cards are either done by hand or on a computer. It's much simpler and fluid now. All the data and analytic data is already attached to the tapes. Only thing teams gotta do is input their self scout data/calls
Imagine doing this job with the Jaguars or the lions or the jets… knowing that you’re still working 18 hours a day for your work to mean literally nothing beacuse the team can’t win a game
The Patriots have been blessed with one hell of a foundation. Most teams I feel like are just trying to do their best without the real feeling that they're gonna compete at the highest level in the biggest games much more often than not. We feel that way because of our results over two decades. Bill has found and led so much talent in the NFL since joining this organization and giving its full reins.
Not a Pats fan. But the Patriots will make the AFC playoffs. Mark my words. They've won 3 of their last 4 games. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if they don't beat the Panthers, Browns and Falcons next.
Tyler Hughes since this went to Washington University for the 2023. Now he returns to New England this 2024 season, finally as a position coach for the receivers.
The one thing they don’t tell you is how these guys got these positions. I’d be very curious to find out how they broke in with the New England Patriots. These aren’t exactly jobs that are available on a job site.
Progression is the word for New England. Nobody rests on their laurels.. There is no stagnation, no dead space, no dead time. They - Keep - Moving - Forward.. Reminds of Microsoft. Not sure if they still operate like this, years ago it was The bottom 10% are cut every month. If you don't produce- C-Ya And there is a line of engineers stretching around the block waiting to work for Gates just to have Microsoft on their resume. I'm other company's caught on and are now operating the same way. Amazon, Tesla, etc..
Thanks for the look behind the scenes at the unheralded, but essential, coaching assistants and their tasks!

Attention to detail makes good into great. Reinvent the game and the process over and over again. Thanks.
It’s because of these gentlemen that the Pats are on a roll right now.
Well deserved 👏.

@Flyerman777 you’re putting food on the table😂😂
I highly doubt they prepare like the Patriots, that's why they lose so much 😂

My only complaint is that these Do Your Job videos are way too short.... They are great and I love them; please start making them an hour long 😉😁
