They need to make a channel dedicated to these types of people behind the scenes because it’s really cool
@Kaily Chavez Did you die on your keyboard?
of course. But make sure when New England does it, its cheating
This is that channel 😂😂
ikr
i want them to do the same video for the headcoach an coaching personel
Show this to the EA Sports Madden team
This is strange I thought scouting is just spamming x
Oops it used to be so much more in depth back then
The NFL needs to give their rights to a different company EA just cares about ultimate Team and microtransactions now they release the same game every year with updated rosters and they haven't released an amazing Madden since 2007
@@djames6043 right they need to do like 2k and have all-time players in the franchise or in the play now.
I thought scouting was just spamming x

They should make Bill O’ Brien watch this video.
Bill shouldn’t even fuckin be a gm
And Ryan pace
Bill O’Brien is a hack
Rat Lives Matter dude come on chill he is not near bill o Brian he is pretty good he was named executive of the year in 2018
Bendboss Ryan Pace only had one good offseason. Out of all the offseasons he had starting from 2015, he only had ONE above average offseason in terms of roster improvement. One great offseason doesn’t mitigate the four other offseasons that were subpar to disastrous at best.
Shoutout to the Vikings GM addressing mental health there
RIght, #Simone Biles
How does one start going about the career of working as a scout, ball boy, etc, I would love to work all the way up to GM one day
You gotta pray and work hard. That’s all I can say and know it’s true lol
jo blio maybe focus more on the work hard part, that’s is what gonna get you there
maybe sports management experience in college. The sport industry is all about connections man, gotta start somewhere
Same. I’m going to be studying Sports Management in college so maybe that’ll help. Probably the right connections as well too.
Hank Kadleck about to be in my Soph year doing SM, if your professors are in the industry you’ll probably make a lot of connections. Mine is a stats guy for the NBA so he’s in the bubble rn, can’t wait to see what stories he tells
As a Colts fan I think Bill O’Brien is an amazing GM.
And I think Chris Ballard is also an amazing gm 😉
As a titans fan I agree! Lol
But he got the next LT

Graduate high school
Go to college. Speak with the Kinesiology department. Explain to the AD of the school what you want. They will place u in the right courses. From there you will begin in Analytics area on the football team. So you will learn that aspect of football and you will sit in on coaches meetings with players. Minor in Business also bc a GM handles the football business side of things too.
Good luck to you
Why kenisiology? That's if you want to be a physical therapist.
@@volsdeep ummmm no kinesiology is for sports in general sir. And oh by the way. Athletes know almost as much as doctors bc of the injuries and the faster ways to heal....kinesiology is a door way

This makes me realize how difficult it's gonna be next off-season. How can they possibly evaluate all this stuff?
It's their job. They are not fans. The fact you returned 95 percent of your starters after a superbowl means your GM and VPP did their jobs extremely well. Most teams lose a lot after a Bowl win since the players values skyrocket
Thank you so much for this video! One day I dream of being the GM of a sports team. This gives me some good insight on what my dream job is like.
Hope you get there 👍
You are a domestic enemy who supports slavery. Congrats from arizona. I hope you wake up and smell the coffee.
There is not a part in this video that wasn’t interesting, and if you found it boring, you must not like football. Also id like to see a what goes in to being a owner of a NFL team
Dane Sliker must not like pro football**
100 Percent% true but GM’s are apart of almost every level of game you’re playing and you might not even notice it
Ozzie is and always will be the GOAT GM
😈💜🖤
Right now I am watching NFL online with nflhdnetwork.com , This NFL is available with no extra cost.
.
This would be a dream job because i know i could never make it pro.
I know
Also my dream job
Same
There's 1696 players in the NFL, but only 32 GM's. We probably have a better chance at the third string.
I just want to be in the scouting department would a dream
I love these types of vuds
This was my favorite video I've seen this month, more of this.
Who's here because Thomas and Dan Quinn just got fired 😭😭😭
Why the crying face
Lol they were awful anyways 😂
Bill O’Brien too
4 years later. 🤣🤣🤣
I cant imagine the pain of cutting a player or getting cut
Excellent video. Love the stuff behind the scenes.
I know my Lions could use a G.M who deals w/other teams then N.E.
Don’t need one anymore
This was an awesome video I’m a huge football fan actually want to work in the business maybe not as a GM but this was a really good video can you need to do one about broadcasting that’s kind of the field and leaning towards or something behind the scenes
That's a long road for someone like yourself! Folding towels would probably be more suitable. That's just being real.
So the Redskins could’ve had Sean Taylor and Champ Bailey?
It's crazy, Andrew Berry's running my football team and he's 4 YEARS YOUNGER THAN ME. 😅😅😅
Damn he's 7 years older than me. I got some work to do. I'm a Colts fan tho. Our GM looking solid
10:56 thats when they talked ab trading D-HOP I believe
Anyone else noticed how Thomas Dimitroff and Sean McVay sound literally identical.
Go to nflhdnetwork.com website. There you can watch that game without any blackouts or some other popups.
.
There are better madden GMs then most in the league *cough cough bill o brien*
I bought subscription on nflhdnetwork.com for 42 : 00 $/ year and I am wanting every NFL Game Live in online HD.
Not alot of ppl ever think jus how HARD it is being a GM... EVEN THOUGH THERE USUALLY OLD ii BET THEY STILL GROW A FEW GREYS A DAY
I need more of these short documentaries. Or something like "All or Nothing" but for the people who arent on the field.
Yo theese are legit cool. They should put these on NFL Network
Did anyone see the AMC show The Agent? I loved that show. I would love to see the inside of a GMs job like that
Where can I find it to watch it?
@carlosbrannan5178
I havr no idea. I watched when it aired. But I dont remember when that was
“Bill O’Brian is their General Manager. He got that title today.”
Worst day of a Texans fan’s life.
This is so good
Man, being a GM looks stressful but also pretty sweet.
Would’ve loved to see JD (Joe Douglas) in here.
So Bill Belichick does most of this and is the head coach?
He does all of this, is the HC and DC.
Yeah he cheats though
Rex, Bill does most of it. The leg/paperwork is done by Nick Caserio, who also deals with the PR part of the draft. That’s why Bill got mad at O’Brien when they talked to Caserio without permission
Raiders GM’s job is to put a mediocre football team each year to compete for a top 5 draft pick.
Shit, they might’ve fucked that up this season.
I wish they would have talked about the lesser known things that a GM has to do. For example, when they say the GM is in charge of hiring, he is in charge of hiring *EVERYBODY*, not just players and coaches but also waterboys/watergirls.
"Being very open minded is crucial"
Dave Gettleman: Nahhhhhgh
Please don't show BoB on here. He's the anti GM
How to become a great NFL Coach: be called Bill
Bill Belichick
Bill Walsh
Bill OBrian
The same can't be said for gm tho 😆
Ooof
Well Bill O’Brien likes to trade away Deandre Hopkins...
As a Colts fan I loved that 😂🤦♂️
The cowboys will never be in a Super Bowl again til jerry is gone
John Lynch's job as a GM is to call the new draft picks, do interviews on TV, and let Paraag Marathe do everything else.
This was to all the fans acting like it's easy being part of an NFL team, when in realization IT IS REALLY SUPER HARD BEING APART OF AN NFL TEAM!!
I'm going with number 3. Young talent is a a risk worth taking
Funny they interviewed the falcons gm like he has any valuable input
Well this aged beautifully
@@nottheoriginalhandle I should have doubled down on Bill O'Brian too but you sometimes take what you can.
They should make a video of the guys who does all the grind work for the gm cause those are the real star cause them scout be living out there cars while the gm sits in the office and look pretty.
Nfl: puts John Elway in the thumbnail
Elway not in the video
I love these vids, I would also love to be a gm in the nfl or nba when I get older, that’s my dream job
The NFL should make a change and allow larger rosters like up to 58 or 60
A coincidence I've noticed is that someone outside of the top 2 QBs, sometimes the 3rd rated/picked QB in the draft ends up as the most successful or best QB from the draft.
2012: Luck v RG3, but Wilson came out as the best
2014: Johnny Manziel v Bridgewater, but Carr came out as the best* (*Bridgewater is having a career revival and could become the best from the draft)
2017: Trubisky v DeShaun*, but Mahomes came out as the clear best (*Trubisky was a huge reach even at the time, so technically not a really the 1st or 2nd best on the board)
2018: Baker v Darnold, but Lamar had a huge 2nd year leap into an unanimous MVP* (*but Josh Allen is on the rise and could pass Lamar by the end of the season)
And In 2020 too. Burrow got hurt and Tua wasn’t the best and herbert won rookie of the year
Hey bill we are really great on offense what should we do
Bill: Let’s get David Johnson
Ok what should we trade
Bill: ummm our best player
Does anyone else wish Charley Casserly was their granpda?
In terms of draft capital NYJ MIA CAR are all top tier
McKinley will only be remembered for being the guy who cured about his dead grandmother on National tv
I really want to work for a front office or two in the League
And Dimitroff is gone
Bill Belichick is the GM of the pats since he was hired
What does the gm and head coach do after the playoff loss and players go home
Dang, I know cut down day is VERY tough
Brian Mitchell should be in Canton
Great video
This is so amazing.
"Not a lot of big moves happen in season"
*Laughs in Seahawks GM*
Brown, Lynch, Clowney, Harvin
Damn imagine them calling you in to tell you they are releasing you from making the 53 man roster. It sucks because that’s their job, is to play football and be in an NFL roster. But the chances are thin that you get another opportunity somewhere else... That’s where your career ends short and you’ve wasted all those times training hard your whole life
I used to think a GM’s job was to make the team as bad as possible. But then again, that is the case with some teams today.
They’re playing franchise from madden
Need A Repeat of this in 2020!
Tom telesco best gm
The GM in Jacksonville has not done anything in over 10 years.
As a Cowboys fan, I'd say Jerry Jones is 4sur top 30.
FINALLY! A video about FOOTBALL and NOT POLITICS. Thank-you. Please stay on the subject of FOOTBALL!
Little sad now because atl just fired that gm
As a packer fan. I absolutely love the vikings GM
IN VEACH WE TRUST!!!!
Howie Roseman should not be Eagles GM
Facts
Now what does a Vice President do?
0:13 well that didn't end to well for Bill did it?
The Browns, Jets and Bengals still aren’t sure.
My two dream jobs are, NFL player then NFL GM
so cool, still so much work but no single player is worth giving up all of your draft picks
ironic it featured the Falcons
Well this did not age well
This was before the falcons front office reboot.
Fact that bill got fired
So will gms ever be replaced by AI?? It has to happen at some point right??
Washington had all those picks and yet couldn't win a SB.
That Atlanta GM should work on his social skills. He obviously doesn’t have any releasing a player and telling him “Who knows? One day you may be on the coaching side of things and we get to work together”. Ok so your basically telling the dude his playing career is done. Like you’ll never wear an Atlanta falcons jersey son! There’s a lot of players that are cut and then brought back later or even come back and earn a starting spot so a more personable approach would’ve been to say “hey you never know, an injury here an injury there and we might be calling you to fill a role on this roster.” But I think it’s obvious that the GM was basically saying look your playing career is in the past buddy, but if you happen to become a bad ass offensive coordinator then I would certainly be willing to work with you in the future! Until then though get your bag of belongings and get out the complex partner!
A general manager..... manages generally.
I’ll always debate the Champ/Portis trade. Champ wanted out of here though so thankfully Portis contributed and wasn’t a flame out right away
Would @MikeFrancesa have made a good GM ? Or should Mike Tannenbaum get another shot?
What a real gm doesn’t do is trade Hopkins for David Johnson
They make a bunch of shady pick trades in the draft that help out our division rivals.
Based off Bill O'Brian and Madden, I can be a GM too😂
Me too
😂😂
They should make Dave Gettleman watch this.
More like this NFL!
Skins got Ricky Williams and Champ Bailey in the same draft??? What the hell happened there😂
So, they don’t do much
Cede Lamb was lying saying baker was his best QB 😂
all these GMs are getting fired - falcons, Vikings, Billy O'B
Someone show this to Jerry Jones and BOB
pretty mutch the dad of the team.
