How is it possible to have never met someone, but still miss them so much?
We all feel connected to that part of the person that resonates to us the most. The emotions we felt while hearing his music, the emotion in his voice and the images painted by his lyrics. Often case United by a familiar pain as the understanding of which builds greater bonds in those that share it. You need not know a person personally to truly know them, often in life its the people you never meet that can have the most profound effect :)
I feel you guys.
I'm with you. A thousand suns was the soundtrack to a really hard time in my life When I heard our man had died I wept. 45 years old, and I wept. X
To me it's because what they took from their own world's experience and translated into their art forms perfectly "met/matched" our own vision of surroundings, or described feelings perfectly. I think it is the magic of art, especially music. Through these objetcs, material things (sound waves, instruments, voices), we can "feel" immaterial things we have inside, and that words cannot translate as much as art, emotions I should say, as a whole. So I guess sometimes it's like someone we don't know, and who don't know us, actually does much for us than a friend or a family member. Because there is relief in the catharsis. Then we can go through our day. It's amazing. And I think we feel the sadness, the pain, the struggle of an artist when we connect ourselves to his/her music or art, it's like we know why he found the energy to express themselves, it's because he was feeling lost, and knowing we all do at some point. So it's a sharing experience, because something happens between people, and it's a divine experience.
that what we called (Feeling).. dont you feel it?
My parents told me about the Beatles and Elvis Presley. I’ll tell my kids about Linkin Park.
@@abigailjean7375 why are you in the comments of a Linkin Park medley if you're just gonna trash them..

How ironic that a song called "Numb" can produce such strong emotions.
RIP Chester. I hope you found the peace you couldn't in life ❤
I don't think that's irony. That was by design.
yeah, i just star singin the lyrics and cry
There has to be an eternal peace in unconscious nothingness.
😭😭🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Don’t forget that Chester did live a full and fun life. He was tormented by his invasive thoughts but that doesn’t define who he was. We are more then just the character we perceive and compartmentalize in our own head. Chester was a very passionate and inspiring man who always tried to improve his life and others around him. We need to remember that and use it as fuel to make our own bee hives/communities better. That is his legacy.
"Ah, it looks like it's beginning to rain"
"No, I dont think so"
"No, it's raining all right..."
Ahhhhh damn that hit hard

Oh, so it is. Why don't we head back, it's getting chilly out here.
It’s not just raining, *it’s pouring all night*

It’s never too late to pay tribute to the Legend himself.

"What is a poet? An unhappy man who hides deep anguish in his heart, but whose lips are so formed that when the sigh and cry pass through them, it sounds like lovely music…. And people flock around the poet and say: ‘Sing again soon’ - that is, ‘May new sufferings torment your soul but your lips be fashioned as before, for the cry would only frighten us, but the music, that is blissful." - Søren Kierkegaard
Pain leaves a strong impression on the mind, so it’s relatable. People in general wish to achieve empathy, and this format is perhaps the closest we can get to mass empathy in our current civilization
Alan Abbasi I just read the poem in Danish instead of in English.
What a amazing quote well said .
Can't help but still cry when Numb starts playing... after all these years... still can't believe he's gone 😢
Same here, 😭
Same, i started to cry as soon as Numb started playing, it was HIS song after all...
I'd love to hear full versions of each of these songs in the medley
Yes this would be incredible!
nah this is perfect. A tribute to the man himself. snippets of each song which are instantly recognizable
I'd also be curious to hear these tracks with vocals.
Wah kompak banget ya
Such albums already exist. For example In the Chamber with Linkin Park, from 2003.
Please release this piece of art on Spotify! Thumbs up so they can see this.

Papercut made me tear up, remembering having discovered Hybrid Theory thanks to my brother 20 years ago as an 8 year old and loving it instantly. Also remembering scaring my school class when we were asked to bring our favorite songs to show the class and I chose Crawling :D
My father brought me Meteora when I was 15 and he died in 9 days after Chester passed away. I miss them both so much 😢
.... these wounds they will not heal...
Bruh I can only imagine sharing crawling in class 😂
How can someone dislike such a wonderful tribute to a wonderful person, who's music inspired, encouraged and saved many?
Can't make everyone happy. There will always be that ONE. ❤ Peace, health and love be with with you!
Because some people are just cunts
Aashish Vicky cuz people have to hate every single thing cuz their life sucks
Deaf people probably, no judgment.
"Saved" is stretching it. It's just a band.

Beautiful comment. Almost three years later and it still hurts
iceavalan Where the hell were his friends/family when he needed them the most?
Imagine Mike and the crew listening to this. Same goes for Chester's kids and family. woah. What a beautiful and painful universe we live in.
This brought tears to my eyes as I was screaming the lyrics in my empty quarantined apartment, and quite frankly I wouldn't have it any other way. RIP Chester you have left us with art that will never be forgotten
Exactly, they can keep us inside....but can't keep us from turning the music wayyyyyy up & living in the moment! 😉
You stayed inside? Why? You must live in a communist controlled state.
Dam, the winds quoting "Numb" at 3:53 went for my feels... bravo to the arranger! RIP Chester ❤
YES
This must've been insane to hear live in that room. Papercut and Faint sounded like it could've been the soundtrack to a European car chase or something. Fantastic arrangement.
I wonder if that's because most of us only hear orchestra music through film scores so it's almost impossible to experience this without visualizing it as such.
Sounded a little bit like gta iv theme
I want to see Mike’s reaction! This is a beautiful tribute.
This is what so wrong with LP and some fans just get used to it, I dont want to Just see mike's reaction, I want the whole Band member to react to this I want the to know the whole band member's feeling about this, because they are LP, LP is not only about 1 person, its about the Six of em, they all matters, they need to be solid, they should show that they do care for each other all this time, they need to act like a family because they are !!
True but mike shinoda is more comfortable being In the public eye and representative for the band e.g. on he’s active on twitch - whereas the others are less public facing members. So we are more likely to see his response than the others. Also nothing wrong with having a favourite band member.
Everything was beautifully composed, but when Numb came up I got literal full body chills throughout. This was an amazing tribute
This sounds amazing, it's like if I were listening to a soundtrack of an avengers movie with Linkin Park theme
Hey 😍
00:15 - In the end

R.I.P Chester Bennington 1976 - 2017
For some reason in these memorial performances it's always "Numb" that finally makes me cry.
In the end did it for me and it kept going from there
I cannot listen to Numb without getting chocked up
This is in the end. Lol
Numb is just one of those songs

“Papercut” was the best part IMO
I agree! Masterpiece.
@@AquimanC But the other three songs were also performed in an epic way.
Has Mike seen this??? I love for LP to do a review on this masterpiece. This could be a dope soundtrack to a movie. During Numb, I can still hear Chester's voice. Great Job Kaleidoscope!!
This version really brings new emotions to this music. Hard to keep a dry eye while listening to the heart of Chester through this music. Rest in peace my friend.
Chester Bennington, we still love him and we still miss him he will never being forgotten
this :*starts playing*
me: shivers and tears
What's wrong with people to push "dislike" for this!! Guys this is hard work, this is talent, this is art!! Oh really great job, AWESOME!! \m/
@Rocco Emma in his last performance at Birmingham just before he went into the crowd to sing One More Light he was talking about paying respects to victims and families of those involved in the Manchester Arena tragedy he said something along the lines of, ‘you can conquer hate by ignoring it, you can destroy it by loving the person next to you’ 💗 such a wonderful man with an amazing heart, I will always carry his message with me and honor him that way 🙏
His voice haunts me. His voice picks me up when I'm down even now. He speaks to me like a Guardian Angel in the form of his lyrics. At times, I miss him like a family member and shed a tear for him. R.I.P. Guardian Angel of this Planet.
Rip Chester. I still can’t believe I got the chance to meet you. You were so kind to me and I’m so grateful. For that. Thank you Chester
Ethan Summers Chester was - and, to be honest, still is - a kind of man to follow up. So talented musician, who always focused on the music. He always respected his fans. During the concerts you alway saw him interacting with the crowd and giving all his best. And after all those powerful shows he always had time for Meet&Greet (I am also the lucky one 🙂). It was his way of life. Nothing more - no scandals, no asking for media’s attention. Truly and forever missed. THE LEGEND

That "Faint" intro was perfect, the whole thing is perfect, Linkin Park's music gave me the Raw energy and motivation to stand up in desperate times, the times I felt at lowest point, to gain motivation to do things, I overcome the struggles, as I just couldn't FAINT, the music was pure energy, sure I might draw some erm... "things" but I also managed to graduate in graphic design, now I can't find another job and the job I work at is destroying me physically and mentally, Linkin Park keeps me going, cuz the last light shines the brightest, either I become a graphic designer or a hentai illustrator I WILL become one of them, and it's all thanks to Linkin Park, to Chester, if haven exists and Chester is really there once I pass on I will thank him, personally and behalf of all the people, a person never dies, their body dies
Thank you for sharing! ❤ Peace, health and love to you!
Absolutely agree - shivers down my spine and hairs on my neck...
omigosh thanks for pointing it out, i only heard the "in the end"

The papercut part feels like it should be in a rocky movie
I miss Chester so much. I never met him, but I cry for him always.
I am so happy they included Papercut, and the ending was gorgeous.
LP was not appreciated enough in their time together. Legendary band.

The song introducing me to Linkin Park. Yeah call me a Twilighter, but still an amazing song
I didn't know that was Twilight's. But yeah, my most favorite song from LP. I miss Chester.
Nothing wrong with twilight for those who had a heart. I'm a 37 year old log chopping grunt with a beard, whiskey, and a chainsaw for company.
It's highly underrated and overshadowed by "what I've done" minutes to midnight is the four album in my history that I can listen song after song without skipping.
Never knew it were in twilight lol, but those lyrics speaks from the heart to the heart, no matter what in the end it doesn't even matter
That's my favorite song too
It’s amazing that people got together to do a dedicated orchestral performance for Linkin Park, I never thought I would ever see something like this, truly amazing ❤️
I must of listened to this arrangement 20-30 times and then NUMB just comes and hits you right in the gut at the end, every time.
That sounded like epicst story you could imagine like : "The Sory of the man who saved everyone but couldn't be Saved" really awsome Work!
The tragedy of Chester the wise

I have a feeling Chester would have liked this a lot. Good job, guys. Very talented!
I think I speak for everyone here when I say: I love every single second of it.. and Numb gets me every time.
As a violinist and a huge fan of Linkin Park, I loved it on 2 different levels.
Chester's family must be REALLY proud about the outcome of your tribute!!!
Браво , 1000 раз браво!!!!
This is absolutely fantastic. Chester would have loved this by this beautiful tribute, as would the remaining members of Linkin Park. I hope that they see it, Mike will love it.
I still can remember the night I first watched "faint" on television like it was yesterday (17 years back??). I couldn't believe what I heard and what I saw. I instantly fell in love with this band and their music. Still today the melody of the strings gives me the chills. Over the years our ways parted, but when I learned about chesters suicide I was grieving. Depression is a terrible sickness and we have to learn how to conquer it as a society. God bless you and your loved ones, peace from germany.
And here I thought I was done crying over Chester...and now I'm crying again. Dammit, RUclips Algorithm!!!
You'd have to be absolutely heartless to dislike this!!

Don't be the bad guy
Exactly what I felt too!
Rest In Peace, I think someone cut the onions. 😭😭😭
That band got me through childhood, I don't know who I would be without them. For everyone who needs it, just reach out to each other with love and patience, every feels fear, hurt, hatred and even anger. They just may not be able to voice it well, they may not be able to connect without time. Just try to be there for each other if you can, and let others be there for you. That's what I learned from their music. So many of us wish we could've been there for him, and it breaks our hearts to know that we were too late, never miss your chance to help another if you can.
I cried, I love this so much. My dream was to make it to a Linkin Park concert, knowing it’s not possible anymore hurts me when I think about it. You are missed Chester
I’m glad to see people honoring him he mattered so much and made and made a difference to many
Oh, this was so beautiful. Something I don't feel is captured about the music of Linkin Park and the emotions it evokes is that quietness your medley puts in so beautifully, particularly at the beginning and end. LP is usually 'shouting music' that you put on when you want to feel out loud, but there is, in every song, that core of wavering loneliness, which you brought out so well with the single-instrument lines. As a long-time fan, I feel like you did justice to it, and I hope Chester hears it, and feels the same, if people in the Great Beyond can still see and hear what we're up to on this little round wet rock of ours.
I discovered Linkin Park at 38, I’m now 56 and I play there music at least once a day, went to see them when I was 41, I was probably one of the oldest there but I still ended up in the mosh pit, they are part of my life, I feel like they are part of my family, my heart broke when I heard Chester had left us, a deep pain that I can’t get rid of, he was unique! I miss him!😢
I'm utterly honestly impressed by this crew
They just need a voice over in it like “Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome multi Grammy award winner ..... this is his 13th nomination and 1st win in this category...” haha
It's like mixing Linkin Park and Star Wars
Linkin Wars or Star Park
Desagradable
