We had the incredible honour of paying tribute to Avicii at Creamfields this year. Here's the video of the live performance.

Now that he's gone, that song has a whole new meaning...
His music is filled with thoughts and quotes of a similar vein. Even the composition of his songs involve minor keys transitioning into majors or vice versa. He was clearly a unhappy person.
His music was his public expression of the turmoil in his soul. The most beautiful expression comes from the deepest pain it seems. His music was beautiful. I'm glad he made it for all of us.
I was late arriving at Creamfields and I had to run from the entrance to catch this performance. I hadn’t been before and didn’t know where I was going. It was a drizzly but warm Saturday and I was exhausted on arrival. I’m glad I ran, it was wonderful.
Can THIS kind of music/compositions become mainstream in our generation, pleeeeease?
If that were the case we wouldn't have Avicii tho!

Steve Pycroft is an actual living genius. Incredible arrangement and a flawless, heartfelt performance by the Kaleidoscope orchestra. Stunning.

What I LOVE more than anything is every single person in that orchestra loved what they were playing, doing, representing....wow amazing, from 1 talented DJ to so many talented musicians. What a fucking awesome tribute!!❤❤❤
Imo, much more important to be passionate about music and what your playing rather than just being skillful. You can easily tell a skillful musicians performance apart from a passionate musicians performance.

Something similar happened to me when I buried a good friend of mine. Gloomy day, the funeral was pretty much over, my friend was put in the back of the hearse, and the moment they turned on the ignition and started driving the sky just opened up and the warm sun hit us all, and everyone just gasped. It was beautiful but as an agnostic it was pretty creepy aswell.

There’s a lot of great musicians in this orchestra, but by far, Lucy McKay stands out. she’s done a lot of violin work, quite skilled, I saw her perform live once when I visited England. You can tell she actually cares about the music. I encourage everyone to listen to her stuff! rip avicii! Levels changed the whole industry, missing you Tim!

Thanks for completing "the nights" with full instrumental, which lacked in your studio version. The tribute is more heart moving with that section.

Thanks guys. Definitely the best tribute that any musician can get. But more importantly, this made me appreciate Orchestra music much more. This completely changed how I see orchestra and classic music in general.
