For outdoor skating I will forever and ever use these and I recommend them to anyone who asks. They have saved me many a day because they literally “chew” up pebbles 🙂.

That disk is a hard plastic disk that is there to hold the bearings as the wheel material is too soft on its own and wheels would pop off bearings. The softness of the wheels is what stops the shock and gives good glide. My favourite is Simms street snakes 👍👍

The problem is you bought Chicago. 🤣🤣🤣. Back in the 50s they were good. Now they make the crappiest most low quality in the market. So bad they are dangerous. If you have Chicago skates 9 out of 10 just get rid of them. Don't resell because someone may get hurt. I keep my pair for trying new wheels on my balcony I'm too lazy to take mine apart. Chicago wheels I would never wear lmaooo. And bearings trash too

I got some candi grl Carlin's in October and I love them! I would say change the bearings out, which is about $35, just "bones reds" or whatever basic type. Changing the bearings totally changed the skating experience. I

I have Sims Street Snakes - similar wheel duro to the Pulse. I cannot spin at all, as these stick like glue! I guess that's the pay-off for absorbing all the bumps. Any suggestions for an outdoor dance wheel that can still handle a bit of street skating?
I'm going to be buying some fundaes just because they sound so versatile, it would be cool to not have to change and calibrate my wheels every time I want to skate someplace different, but the Atom Pulses will be my next purchase before those.

yes!!! if you switch out the wheels and maybe the bearings then chicago skates are an ok starter skate! just so u know tho like 99% of outdoor wheels are on backorder so you’ll have to wait a lil bit-my radar energy wheels don’t get here till the end of the month :(
wifi user I swear they are. My bearings are fully tightened and guess what? My wheels are literally out of place and wobbly. I I fortunately can’t get either impalas nor Moxi’s because they’re both sold out and I’m currently waiting for a restock! Lmk if I can do anything about my wheels. Just like skateboards, you use hard wheels to skate in skateparks. Skateboards and roller skates are very alike in terms of what wheels you can use for what purpose so if you want to skateboard/roller skate outside, you need big, gummy wheels. If you want to skate in a skate park, you need smaller, harder wheels.

Love the video! I have Moxi Lollys with the standard gummy wheels which are a lot better than most that come stock on skates. What's your comparison of those to the Pulse?
I bought mine with Afterpay so I paid $75 every two weeks for a pair of Moon Boots which were around $270. So yeah 😭 If you want to take it up as a hobby, the pricier is usually the better, they'll last you longer. I know a lot of people are getting Impalas which are a nice budget skate, but after a few months I've seen countless skaters have issues with their skates. Just look around! I know there are new skating places honing in on the craze like C7 and I think Angel skates??? But yeah I had to save up a bit for mine

Looks like a 10 degree which is the most stable . More advanced skaters opt for 45 degrees, which is less stable but way more agile.
