      They're nice and bright..The dual color isn't great since yellow is illegal in Canada, I just bypassed the yellow chips :)

    Top video !!!!! - what is the glare like for the on coming traffic? Some of the LED lights are way too bright for traffic - how about the Auxbeam ?

    Fupabox! Are these lights still working for you and do you still have them installed on your ML? I have a 2000 ML320 and am thinking about a purchase.

      I'm actually a corrections officer. I had a similar situation to you. A had a severe neck injury at work and lost all the feeling in my hands and fingers + some upper body strength and co-ordination. I couldn't pick up a pen or sign my name, I was a part time airbrush artist and painted custom helmets and wall murals etc...I couldn't do any of it anymore. I gave up on life and spent a year on the couch in agony. After a year I said screw it and started to figure it out, taught myself to write again and realized things just felt different now. Hot and cold have no feeling , but my hands just need to be watched while I figured it out. That was 8 years ago , and I;m happy to say I'm 90% back to normal. It's just different, the body figures it out. I can't really ride a motorcycle more than 20 minutes because my hands stop gripping, but it could be much worse. I believe you will push through it. Determination and stubbornness will carry you through. I wish you the best of luck..

    The thing about the Auxbeam is they get a lot of flak for poor arcing of the lights. I’m running Putco silver Lux on my W202 for over a year and I flipping love them. 6000K color. Only downside to LED is winter driving. snow/ice buildup on headlights can happen.

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  3 года назад

      agree. the non melting of snow is a bit of a problem . Never tried the putcos . I'll give them a shot . thanks

    good video as always. what I did on my ml I got a pair of used projector oem headlights from e bay for like 120 shipped , put those on and got kensun 55w hid kit with relay harness and used genuine Philips 4300 k bulbs , man what a difrennce projectors make with oem bulbs , I tried led s before and they didn't seem have enough light at distance , could be the bulbs but I still think hid is better unless car came from factory with led, s.

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  7 лет назад +1

      The newer LEDs coming out are pretty darn good. I tried some a few years ago ,and chucked them in the trash after 10 minutes. Blinded oncoming traffic without making any useful light . The ones in this vid are pretty good..about 40-50% brighter than stock halogens. Hid are nice, but illegal in Canada unless factory fitted because they can't melt snow off in the winter..Any car fitted with them from the factory has to have automatic aiming to prevent blinding oncoming cars..and headlight washers to keep snow and ice off

    • @eldin9117
      @eldin9117 7 лет назад

      wow I didn't know that ,everybody here sticks hid s in reflector housings ,especially kids in their Hondas .lol. I am not sure if that is even legal ,but cops don't mind I guess here , no snow here

      San Berdoo mountains get some nasty snow ... I used to live near Palm dessert and we played Big Bear in high school football. The team bus needed chains to get to the games up there lol :)

      The beauty of the ML ... no sophisticated "bulb out " monitors :) But it shouldn't cause an error

    Hi Thanks for the video! I see that your van has a metal defense.
    Would you nkow to tell me if the defense of a Mercedes Vito van could work in a ml 270 mercedes? Do you know if the bumper defense have the same fixing system?
    I've seen a used defense and I do not know if it worked on ml 270. Thank

    Hey brother I just wanted to say thank you so much for the videos! I used them to replace my valve cover gaskets on my 1998 ML320. only thing I'm waiting on now is all the air hoses they we're all brittle and broke. However I was wondering if you could help me with something. so I'm having a problem with the battery dying on the car I've isolated it to a certain point I've noticed that when I use the clicker to lock my car the left side driver turn signal side marker and rear lights stay on killing the battery all the dash the left side turn signal stays lit up as well now this is avoided if I use the key to lock the front door instead of using the fob now also when I put my hazards on I noticed that the left side is blinking slower than the right side all the lights are working though I figured that might be an indication that one of the bulbs was out that's the usual sign however I took the housings off kept the bulbs in and checked all of them and they're all intact and functioning so my thought is there must be a problem with the turn signal switch itself or a short somewhere in the wiring I was hoping you could help me this is my first Mercedes I can't afford to get the turn signal switch it's about a hundred and fifty to $200 but if it's something else if you think there's some fuses or some relays I should check I would like to do that first also when I use the turn signals by themselves the left side functions but is still significantly slower than the right side and sometimes it stays on even after I turn the switch to the center really hope you could help me it's for a 1998 Mercedes ML320 that I'm working on for my wife thank you so much.

      possibly the All activity module inside the fusebox...big black plastic box under the fuses after you remove the cover plate and unscrew the floor of the fuse box.. try cleaning the contacts on it with electrical contact cleaner. and reseating the plug connectors again. If that doesn't work you can try opening the module (a few screws) and look for corroded connections ..the module is pricey so it's worth trying to fix it.. Make sure before removing the module you unhook the neg. battery terminal and be sure the key is out of the ignition when you unhook and re-hook up the neg. cable.. On a Benz you always make sure the key is out before unhooking or hooking up the battery. The other thing you can try if you get to taking the case off the module , is the gently clean all the electrical contacts on the circuit board in the module with an old tooth brush . Solder whiskering has caused many a headache on automotive electrical components ..solder can actually grow whiskers as it ages , which contacts other components on the board causing hiccups in the system.. gently rubbing an old toothbush on the soldered side of the board can clean them away..then blow off with compressed air..no cloth or rags or metal brush at all.

    Do you need to do programming on your Mercedes with the Auxbeam F-S2? I have a 2003 Mercedes E320. Thanks.

      You shouldn't need to do anything except install them . Resistance is built in and should not cause issues with bulb monitors either

    is it just me ,but I love my ml I can buy newer car, but every time I get in in my car I feel so safe that thing is build like a tank I swear , when I do work under the car and see that frame and all that steel they just don't make em like that anymore , what about you Fupa , you feel the same about your ml ? lol

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  7 лет назад +2

      I actually love it more than I thought I would..so useful ,comfortable, just the right size, and aside from minor things, it has been incredibly reliable for a 16 year old suv with 250k km on it.. I will only get rid of it to get another...maybe a diesel. Otherwise I couldn't be happier with it.

    • @eldin9117
      @eldin9117 7 лет назад

      I know what you mean , I would love a diesel , but I don't think they offer them here in USA , at least not in California where am at .but I might be wrong.

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  7 лет назад

      I think 2005 was the first year for the diesel. California emissions may have not allowed them though.

      I feel the same. I drive my parents old 99 ML320. They bought it new, I bought it from them about 12 years ago. It's had a couple expensive years in that time, service/repairs wise. But I like the way it feels, looks, sounds. I ignore stuff like the driver window not opening, one door won't lock, etc. I even replaced the ignition and now I need to hold the old chipped fob and the new ignition key together to start it. It's a hooptie now. But yes, for some reason I love it.

    I installed my Auxbeam H7 and now have Error on dash check left low beam... how do I get that off? GLK350

    • @fupabox
      @fupabox  4 года назад

      You may need the error free resistor kit . It's weird ,some Mercs. need them , others don't . The year doesn't seen to matter . My G wagon and ML are both 2005. The ML doesn't need the resistors and the G wagon does .
