  • A generic baitfish streamer using two common materials - marabou and any kind of hair (bucktail, squirrel, or any coarse stiff hair). I originally created this for panfish but it should do fine for small water trout.
    Hook: #6-12 streamer
    Thread: Any color
    Body: Silver Mylar tinsel
    Underwing: White marabou
    Overwing: Brown over colored bucktail

Love the streamer pattern! Sorry I didn’t get to comment when the video dropped! I changed occupations and I’m a county lockup Corrections Officer, so no phone till the end of the shift!
    Tight lines, Matt! 😂😎🎣

Good morning Matt! I tie several micro streamers, mostly with bucktail.I add some weight to some and always some lateral line of crystal flash or flashabou.I use them for white and yellow perch fishing primarily.

Nice fly Matt. I've had bluegill save a bad day of fishing more than once in my life, I'm taking off from Lake Okeechobee in a couple of days. The fishing has been horrible and wind has been blowing most of the time. Maybe it will be better the next place I go. I can see lots and lots of color combinations for this fly. Keep the good stuff coming.

Why not mix as long the marabou is shorter than the shank? That pink crinkled bucktail would be fine for a large saltwater bucktail if we can ever convince to try fishing saltwater. ;-)
