She was also scared that she wouldn’t make it back to the “Corbelan” since she was bleeding out AND pregnant. Perhaps she felt it was her best chance.
Alien: Romulus was so awesome when I saw it in the theater, the practical effect, cinematography, wirting, direction and acting expecially from David Jonsson was amazing. Hoping that Fede directs the sequel to this movie.
That scene from one of the Alien movies (maybe Alien v Predator) with the pregnant woman getting burst open by an alien was my first pregnancy horror experience. Now years later, convinced having a baby feels the same as having a parasitic alien inside your body, this movie took pregnancy horror to a whole new level for me. There is no way in hell I'd willingly have a baby after watching this
29:26 the facehugger's "tongue" is called a proboscis or ovipositor It was showed in Aliens (facehuggers in the lab's jars) and Alien vs Predator, the only movies with consistent facehuggers action compared to the others.
@Darkstar72SR That's right. Ovipositor is the tube-like abdominal organ female insects use to lay eggs. The Queen's eggsac (= her abdomen) has an ovipositor at the end. A proboscis is a straw-like tube that acts as a mouth for certain insects, like butterflies. For the facehugger, its proboscis works like an ovipositor.
The guys didn’t get into it but Bjorn was the father of Kay’s baby (some asshole). Navarro was Bjorn’s sister (step), that’s why he was so concerned about getting her away from Andy. Kay and Tyler were also siblings but probably step as well since they had different accents.

Scott will loose his power to Disney just like Lucas did for Star Wars and get removed from the franchise all together. They will destroy the alien franchise like they did the others.

6:40 The mining isn't the reason there's no sunlight reaching the surface, it's the atmosphere processor. To make the planet habitable it's thickening the atmosphere, which causes an effect like cloud seeding, making it overcast and more likely to storm. The planet will be like that for decades. It was the same case for the Hadley's Hope colony in Aliens. Jackson's mining operations would only slightly contribute to what is already going on. 17:05 They're both cryo and escape pods. It's an EEV like the one at the beginning of Alien 3.18:10 Synthetics actually don't have a long operational lifespan unless they have regular maintenance. It varies by their primary functions, but limbs wear out since synthetic muscle fibers break down with use and their power cells vary in lifespan, but 400 days is about as long as one can go before it needs to be recharged. Outmoded synthetics start degrading like Andy with tics and get worse from there. 54:06 It makes sense because humans were created from engineer DNA they seeded per Prometheus. Z-01, derived from the black goo, essentially added xenomorph aspects to the fetus while also unintentionally taking it back to humanity's hidden roots.
I loved this movie. Like many other people, this is now easily my 3rd favorite Alien movie. We’ll see if it moves up with future viewings. While the dialogue callbacks were a little excessive for me, I can get past that. I appreciated the incorporation of Ian Holm’s Ash model of android and the reason why. The director wished that the actor could have been included in multiple movies like the other androids’ actors. He also approached Ian Holm’s family about it first because he had lost his dad recently and knew seeing a dead loved one’s image might do more harm than good. And while Rook did look plasticky at times, it was okay because he was an android. When it’s supposed to be a living human being, then it’s distracting. (Prime example: Tarkin in Rogue One) More importantly, I loved the choice to bring a new android model in, with Andy. As a new model, I didn’t have the preconceived expectations associated with Ash, Bishop, Walter, & David. So until the end, I was in suspense about whether he’d end up good or bad. The actor was phenomenal at playing that nuance. Lastly, I loved the homages to Alien: Isolation. Going in, I knew the director had been inspired by the game, so one of my hopes was to recognize aspects of Isolation in the movie. I was not disappointed. I’m glad Igli recognized them too.
Great works, guys! I rank this the third best in franchise after Aliens and Alien. I really appreciated the movie using the building blocks from Prometheus especially the engineer-looking offspring. I love the note you have about the Prometheus theme in the lab scene- thrilled they included that for a few seconds.
@RaggedyPack So glad you guys reviewed/reacted to this one! In agreement that it ranks high. Corey was a little distracting with his beater shirt lol 😊😍
"This girl was just napping, chilling on the ship" - me the entire movie poor kay. She was the character i attatched to and we dont even know if she died because of the offspring or the frost.
I’m really proud of this movie which is strange to say cause I didn’t make it. But it’s really nice when a director takes on a franchise that is as much of a fan as the rest of us and it shows on film with the references, story thru lines, design of the environment and his unique take on a synthetic which from what I learned is inspired by a family member of his on the autism spectrum. N-D’s (Andy) actor did such a fantastic job with the role. Was so empathetic towards a synthetic, an impressive feat for both actor and director. And although most of us are used to xenomorphs, Fede still brought the horror. First time I felt the Alien Isolation horror is when Kay ran through the door and fell onto a lower platform later waking up trying to be as quiet as she could under sheer terror, alien moving above her. That’s how we all felt hiding underneath those hospital beds in AI!! Fell in love with the film after that point.
I saw this movie in theaters and it was TERRIFYING on the big screen. I saw Promethius, Covenant, and this one in theaters, and this one I'd equate to being able to see Alien for the first time in theaters back in the 70s.
By the way, Kay had the worst day ever lol. She watched her friend die, her baby daddy die underneath what is confident is satans vagina if satan identified as a female. I was so sad to see Bjorn go though.
Sad bjorn was a horrid and he was sleeping with his own COUSIN bjorn and Kay and her brother are cousins so it’s incest he was a b******** and horrible to Andy so was glad to see that sob die, you need to question why your feeling empathy for a incestual bully one impregnating his own biological cousin ( as confirmed by Fede alverez) and 2 bullying andy
it did go into movie cinemas... Disney wanted to initially only have it streaming. But Scott won the war and made it cinemas release 'then' disney plus streaming
Yer Fede alverez confirmed it it’s based on a incestual twist but it’s never actually confirmed in the movie but yes they are cousins but Fede confirmed Bjorn is Kay’s baby’s father
This film has a very solid foundation!!! This is thanks to the director Fede Alvarez, i think he did his job perfectly! The strength of the foundation this movie, explains that the director became interested in this universe, read comics, played games about aliens, etc. I watched almost all of his interviews, and in almost all of them, he said that he was a crazy fan of Alien films, and the entire universe! So, I have no doubt that there will be a continuation! And I'm all for it! But there is another interesting side, it lies in the fact that Fede Alvarez interested in making a new film AVP! He is also not averse to working on this film with the director Dan Trachtenberg you must remember him from making the movie Prey. The idea could be that, Alvarez will focus solely on the Aliens story, and Dan , respectively on the history of Predators. In 2025, we will have two about 'Predator' projects and one tv-series 'Alien: Earth'. One of the Predator projects does exactly Dan Trachtenberg, if I'm not mistaken the movie is called Predator: Wasteland. Some people have a crazy guess that already in this film a mini bridge will be shown that will lead us to the project AVP in the future!!!
@@rachaelhogan7850 I don't recall asking for your opinon. I said what I said, if you didn't like the remake that's on you but I did and that's why I recommended it.
All I care about is Scott's story .. Disney will surely destroy the alien franchise like they do the rest. Besides the xenomorph is already played out that's why even Ridley Scott moved on from it and made Prometheus to start a new story about David and AI.
Incredible film beginning to end. My fav Alien film. It also connected Prometheus and Covenant. I liked them too. Mentioned it (and what David did.) Rain and Andy 🔥. Fede Álvarez already working on a sequel for em. Ridley working on his own Alien too
Impossible Prometheus and Covenant were made to center around David and AI... Ridley Scott wanted to get away from the xenomorph story because it was played out too many times he didn't want to tell it no more.
@@Humanipathic Scott made Prometheus and everyone thought it was connected to the alien franchise so when it came out it received criticism and bitching because of no xenomorphs. The studio pressed Scott to tie them into the story when he made covenant. So he put them in to shut everyone up but the base of the story is about David.. David was special not like any other android. He was given a soul so to speak with the ability to feel. Unlike, Walter, ash, bishop, and even Andy. Even at the end of covenant it shows the dangers of AI turning on its masters.
Okay, NOT watching right now cause I’ve been watching the Alien Movies repeatedly all my life…haven’t seen this one yet; will watch when I have! Btw; lookin hot again with your locks down Igli ❤️
Ripley's escape pod must have been LOADED with cryo-fuel right? 57 years adrift at a time period before the events of Romulus, when technology was ostensibly less advanced than 'now'.
My god theres no more to be told about the xenomorphs, why do you think really Scott moved on and made Prometheus and Covenant because he wants to explore AI so he went with David as a center point of both stories
Weyland/Yutani was styling themselves as the next Romulus and Remus. Creating a new Roman Empire of the cosmos. It's a nice nod to the company's narcissistic ambitions.
So glad to see you're reacting to this, but more importantly I'm relieved to know that all are safe and well and that you're back together after the terrible hurricanes. All the best from 'across the pond.' 🥰
I knew of this franchise and the monsters growing up but never watched any of the movies, I was forced to see this w my mom in theaters bc at first I wanted to watch 'It Ends with Us' (pls never watch that lol) so I wasn't really sure what I was expecting. The baby scene and tall monster was the worst thing I've ever seen too Cojo 😭
@@MariaLoozer Omg no I can't stand that author lol. I only read a couple of pages to know she can't write and glorifies gross things. The only reason I wanted to watch it was bc of the drama 😭
Wrong listen to The interviews by Ridley Scott Prometheus and Covenant had nothing to do with the xenomorph movies. Ridley Scott felt it was played out so he created Prometheus to center around the AI and they're dangers. David is that AI

I hope you guys do the Salems Lot remake at some point.
YAWN there better watching the 79 tobe hooper original was better the mini series with David soul James Mason bonnie bedellia
@@rachaelhogan7850 I don't recall asking for your opinon. I said what I said, if you didn't like the remake that's on you but I did and that's why I recommended it.
justice for Kay😭😭 she was so close🙏🥹
Dora finally found a spot she shouldn’t have explored!
Great film. Watched it in the cinema. Just rewatched it now. Cailee was in Civil War. She is gorgeous.
Keep the hair down, Igli. Looking great!
One of the best films in this franchise!
Not even close it was so predictable, and it didn't do anything that wasn't done before. Ripped off so many one liners and ideas from the originals
Finally an alien movie where the guns work and they just mow the aliens down hahah! It also has aim assist like a future weapon would! Great scene!
So are we just ignoring the guns in Aliens then? 😅
Cojo not getting the beef w Andy and Bjorn at first was heating me severely!!!
I can attest that it was amazing in the theater!
It was in theatres here in Australia. It was great.
So we got 3 alien things going out. Alien earth show coming to Disney plus I believe, Romulus sequel, and the 3rd part of Scott's David trilogy.
All I care about is Scott's story .. Disney will surely destroy the alien franchise like they do the rest. Besides the xenomorph is already played out that's why even Ridley Scott moved on from it and made Prometheus to start a new story about David and AI.
It was in theaters! 🎉
Just watched the entire movie on youtube, then these guys post their reaction to it. RUclips hasn't taken down the movie's upload yet.
When Blake is absent, Cojo becomes the eye candy.🫢
It's what you got from this video? Ok
Yo! Respect to your opinion, however, Corey and Igli are also eye candy 😉
@ 🤷🏻♂️. It’s been reported
Even at the end of covenant it shows the dangers of AI turning on its masters.
corey in tanktop made me feel something😍🤩🤭
Okay, NOT watching right now cause I’ve been watching the Alien Movies repeatedly all my life…haven’t seen this one yet; will watch when I have! Btw; lookin hot again with your locks down Igli ❤️
Igli 😍😍😍
Very very nice film:)))

Movie suggestion to react to: The Substance (2024)
Ripley's escape pod must have been LOADED with cryo-fuel right? 57 years adrift at a time period before the events of Romulus, when technology was ostensibly less advanced than 'now'.
My 3rd favorite Alien movie. I loved it! To me Romulus and Prey (2022) are the perfect accompaniments to their respective originals.
It was played in theatres. I loved this film. It was great.
10 our of 10. Masterpiece.
But it WAS in theatres tho? 😅
I wasn't very interested in this movie but I'll watch it with you guys. 👍
Omg yesssssss❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
mu/th/er is the operating system with the 9000 being the version, like Microsoft XP - 11
God the guy in the middle and the one guy who’s not here are so fine 😭
I'm waiting for the reaction of The Substance, huh! ♥
My god theres no more to be told about the xenomorphs, why do you think really Scott moved on and made Prometheus and Covenant because he wants to explore AI so he went with David as a center point of both stories
omg 4d theater for alien cojo 😆
53:28 💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣
Weyland/Yutani was styling themselves as the next Romulus and Remus. Creating a new Roman Empire of the cosmos. It's a nice nod to the company's narcissistic ambitions.
Another movie you need to do is Transformers One. I grew up with the Generation 1 1980's Transformers. I absolutely loved this movie. *****
So glad to see you're reacting to this, but more importantly I'm relieved to know that all are safe and well and that you're back together after the terrible hurricanes. All the best from 'across the pond.' 🥰
Saw you posted this, realized I missed the movie being out already, went and watched it, and now I'm back to watch y'all react and get your opinions.
The way I only read "it ends with us" and thought you were recommending that movie.... my god i was about to throw hands 😂
@@MariaLoozer Omg no I can't stand that author lol. I only read a couple of pages to know she can't write and glorifies gross things. The only reason I wanted to watch it was bc of the drama 😭
Corey 007 Golden Eye 💯💯💯💯💯👍
Ate some magic shrooms and i got chuckwagon sandwiches
Im here! ❤
I thought this film was excellent!
COJO 💘
Wrong listen to The interviews by Ridley Scott Prometheus and Covenant had nothing to do with the xenomorph movies. Ridley Scott felt it was played out so he created Prometheus to center around the AI and they're dangers. David is that AI
Yaaaaaaaay!
