Luigi’s Mansion is one of my all time favorite games ever. LM 3 was also amazing. But i hope they go back to that creepy tone they pulled off in the first one.
I feel like Evil Dead’s popularly is also due in part to people just falling in love with Sam Raimi. Being fans of Hercules, Xena, and then most commonly the Spider-Man movies, and then in the early 2000s, people finally have the internet and put all these pieces together that these things they love are all made by the same person.
Whoa whoa whoa! The song goes "played by Ryan and Mike", who is this Tony dude? Lol all good, I haven't watched anything with Tony in it before, but he did a great job filling in for Mike. It's funny, of all the Luigi Mansion games, the first one is the only one I haven't played, since I was a PS2 owner and never picked up a GameCube. Loved the other two LM games, and just recently within the last half year got a GameCube and a copy of the game, but still have yet to play through it. Glad to hear it seems to still hold up well, probably need to get around to finally playing it. Another solid episode guys.
I watch this show every week. I also watch every new episode of Hack the Movies as well. I just really enjoy the conversations and people on both shows. Thanks y'all for bringing these two things together. It's worlds colliding!!!
The three big exclusive Gamecube launch games were terrific and we got Melee in November of that year. It wasn’t that hard to wait. And, while Mario and Zelda were mid, Metroid was spectacular. 2002 was a really good year.
I had LM at launch, it was staggering to me visually and the soundtrack was fabulous. Rogue Squadron was very impressive as well. I always enjoyed Sunshine but haven't played since GC. I may replay it someday on the switcharoo. Great convo.
Tony what are you doing here. I remember your on multiple occasions say. "I don't play video games. Video games are for children." But now I know the truth. Wink wink 😉 🍻
Seeing Tony on the show was a total surprise. Luigis Mansion is a great game. I remember my brother and my friends taling about the game in 2001. I have played one of the Evil Dead games for Play Station 2.
Ryan, thank you for mentioning the Gamecube was graphicly superior to the PS2. I watched another gaming channel and they always say that the PS2 was better because it sold better and that all the NGC had going for it was a handle.
39:55 Socom on PS2 did that well though because you wanted to see your hard team work pay off at the end. Although nowadays I can see it as a pain. RIP Socom lol
I always liked Luigi's Mansion when it came out. Played it a bunch, had interesting little puzzles. I knew it wasn't a Mario game but that was fine. The vacuum system felt very cool. In Luigi's Mansion 3 there's an interesting creative touch. The mario gang goes to a hotel, and you get to go into Mario's room while he's gone. His room is an absolute shithole wirh pizza slices and empty cans everywhere.
Would have been funny bit tony gets teleported from the store in a "Last time on..." moment. But haven't played the original gamecube Luigi game and I wanted to play both of these games.
Thanks, I didn't know there was a new Evil Dead game. I thought you were gonna tear apart that terrible old Evil Dead game that was on Playstation 1 and Dreamcast, haha. Also, I think it's one of the worst games on both consoles, and actually maybe the worst Dreamcast game unless I am forgetting one.
I admit that the evil Dead game looks nice but I am so sick of these cell phone online multiplayer games, sure why not make us pay 60$ for the game with a 50$ monthly internet fee and a monthly 20$ PSN subscription just to play 1 level over and over until they stop supporting it in a year or 2. How are the 3 original Evil Dead games still better than a new game made 15-20 years after those titles. What a joke and how lazy. (They could have at least added a short single player game, but no why would they bother doing extra work than the original demo with microtransactions...)
We returned the Game Cube because Mario Sunshine was such a terrible game. Nintendo and Playstation had some thing where you could buy their system and return it within two weeks and get your money back.
It always blows my mind when I see people that wanna leave crappy ass comments and complain about people but can't even write out their crap ass comment correctly, wanna talk smack about others when you yourself seem to be quite a gem, smh so sad,,,so sad✌🏻✌🏻
All of these guys are immature. Mike makes a living recording himself playing 30 year old games. What do you expect? It's the show's nature that it's for people refusing to grow up (like me).
I’ll be back next week. Be nice to Tony. And his banana shirt.
I love my banana shirt.
@@HackTheMovies 🍌
Sure will
WHISKY!!!!
Mike why dont do a ff7 (the original) playthrough? And stream it of course.
Tony did a great job on the show. Thanks
Agreed! I hope he subs in for Mike or Ryan again someday in the future. Im going to check out hack the movies since I enjoyed Tony so much.

Best of luck with your transition Ryan

Tony is legendary
E. Gadd shows in all Luigi's Mansion games and, as far as I know, in at least one of the Mario & Luigi RPG series
He's in superstar saga
If I'm correct the first Luigi's Mansion came out on 3DS as well
The three big exclusive Gamecube launch games were terrific and we got Melee in November of that year. It wasn’t that hard to wait. And, while Mario and Zelda were mid, Metroid was spectacular. 2002 was a really good year.
Nice show, I missed Mike but his fill in was great
I had LM at launch, it was staggering to me visually and the soundtrack was fabulous.
Rogue Squadron was very impressive as well.
I always enjoyed Sunshine but haven't played since GC.

0:00 Luigi’s Mansion
25:22 Evil Dead
Shame we’ll never get this Xander artwork since Mike wasn’t on the show.
Luigi's Mansion was released on 3DS several years after part 2 has been released.
Played by ryan and MIKE....
Tony what are you doing here. I remember your on multiple occasions say. "I don't play video games. Video games are for children." But now I know the truth. Wink wink 😉 🍻
The truth comes out!
lol. the trailer starts with RYAN MEOWING!!! love you guys!!
The GTA style shirt looks 👌
I played Luigi's Mansion probably 11 times through. Still have my original file saved since 2001.
I just got Luigi's Mansion 3 about a month ago I am very much enjoying it so far
Shouts out for giving MEGA64 a rare but we'll deserved reference.
Why didn't Tony bring up Syphon Filter for his game 😂
Podcasters always say "wherever you find podcasts". But I find mine on RUclips. Can't help but feel a little excluded by proxy.
Daisy is from 1989 as a background character in Super Mario Land and Waluigi was created by Camelot not Nintendo in 2000.
Pikmin released early dec 2001, it's not entirely true with the gap until mario sunshine and zelda
Didn't Smash Melee come out shortly after launch as well.

Play metal gear solid 3 and then play resident evil zero and tell me that the gamecube had better graphics. This is coming from a gamecube enthusiest.
Yeah I actually was surprised to hear that. I trust Ryan's tech input but I wish he elaborated a bit on how Gamecube was tech superior
The third mission took me like ten or more tries!!!!
EVIL DEAD IS 🔥🔥🔥
Love this podcast
I got one Lorey Strode from halloween.
Egad is in Mario and Luigi rpgs. Like super star saga
He looks just like that guy from Dark Knight Rises!
I miss this show
If you played Sunshine at the time of its release it was glorious. I love Sunshine.
Sick forehead zit, Tony.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Reggie the ice cream vendor in all of the Phantasm movies

Was definitely not expecting to see Tony, what a great surprise, great episode and thumbs up to the special guest✌🏻✌🏻
The east coast/Philly/jersey? accents on this and related shows are just amazing. Also a fan of the show.
Dewd, ah dewnt hear it
@@oldcaptaintwotimes the way they say Nintendo really tickles the accent bone
Tony looks so relaxed since moving down to only one Hack The Movies show per week and not having Johanna nor Crystal on his show.
Don't get too excited. They're on Mondays episode.
I love it when Johanna and Crystal are on! All the guests are great! I do miss Newt, however. Hope he's doing better!

ryan, definitely watch ash vs evil dead, tons of fun 🤘

I still have mine
Well it breaks down mine did

I can’t agree more 🙏🥇
Is that famous youtuber Tony from hack the movies?
Tony's new Goth girlfriend is a right looker. 🤣
Nooo..what is this? Mike called in from streaming too late and Tony was just sitting around the office?
I refuse to believe Tony played Evil Dead: The Game. Tony doesn't play with children's toys. :)
That was an awesome show, you guys.
Luigi mansion great game think i got to B rank mansion
If you have a switch you need to play lm3 it's one of the dopest Ghostbusters games ever made. Super super cool.
