Hey bud, I am so proud of all your hard work. I started balding when I was 19, I was depressed and tried to find solutions everywhere. I've always been a strong-minded person but I never thought losing my hair was going to affect me so much. I'm 25 now and I started shaving my head when I was 20, yes throughout the years I've had my doubts and insecure moments especially since I am the only bald friend in the group and of course my age. But that 19-year-old kid who stumbled on one of your videos 6 years ago is now a very proud bald man, you made me realize that I was worth people's love regardless of my baldness. So much so that I've worked in a hair transplant clinic in Harley Street as a nurse manager “The irony” and not once did it come to my mind to get a hair transplant. I'm now obsessed with getting a perfect shave and using a safety razor to take care of my skin, save money and stop the awful irritation I used to get from cartridge razors.
    Much love my brother

How crazys this.. i have all 3 of them shavers!! Exactly the same. I came looking to see if theres any benefit to wet shaving as im worried about introducing ingrowing hairs, something i dont currently get with my leccy shavers.
The annoying thing about the RX7 is (and its my fault for being lazy), within a couple days of not shaving, i then have to use the Quick Cut Pro to reduce the hair length to an acceptable length where the RX7 can do its thing. Its hassle, but i guess not worth risking ingrowing hairs or skin irritation for not much benefit.

I would suggest there is another option which gets great results: Electric shaver that has 'Wet' capabilities with shaving cream and water. I use the Braun S9 in the shower with cream and it gets noticeably closer than using it dry, especially when the head starts to get a bit old.

I use double edge safety razor (razorock superslant, it shaves very close i can feel hairs growing back around 12 h later and its really hard to cut with it) but when im on travel i use mach 5 etc. The only difference is I use shaving soap and make lather with brush every time, no gel or foam can beat it. Skin condition after few weeks of use is brilliant if you use quality soap like british kent or mitchells wool fat. In addition, head massage when lathering with brush is one of the most realxing feelings. Not to mention its way, way cheaper than shaving gels or foams. I think you should give it a try

Could be doing it wrong after 2 years of using the razer blade, I pretend my heads an egg and go up and then down, gets super close that hair grain and I can't see any sign of hair. Sweating is a nightmare since it pours down the face though and it only last 2-3 days till you have to redo it. As with any shaving if you stick to the 2-3 day time rule it should take few minutes to shave also with an razer.

I've always wondered why they don't make a Remington RX7 style clipper that cuts as close as the standard, narrower clippers. Maybe it's not possible with the way it's shaped? If they did, they'd be the perfect "good-enough" solution when I don't feel like getting the razor out. It just doesn't cut close enough for my tastes.

Honestly despite technically the shaver taking longer than the clipper, I think for me it'd be more quick as It's easier to get the entire scalp right. With my clipper I tend check multiple times if I missed a spot (and I always do miss a spot). Does it also feel more comfortable to the skin than clippers, trimmers and against-grain blades?

    • @Baldcafe
      @Baldcafe  2 месяца назад +1

In general I think they are unnecessary. If people are going to do it just pay more and go to the top end doctors. Cheap does not equal good. Also you must be willing to take finasteride and everything else for as long as you want hair it’s non negotiable when considering a transplant. So that wasn’t for me because I personally wanted to be totally over the issue rather than investing into it if that makes sense.

I have regrow my hairs rn, I have shaving my head with razor and I must write one thing: brand makes a huge difference. It's not that every single one is the same or will give You same "quality shaving". Some had worse type of blades, some had sharper. When I used some of Wilkinson or Gillette I was ending with burns when going against grain, I ended up using BIC razors, and also not every single one, cuz those cheaper were also mediocre. I was thinking once about using razor machine with switchable blades, I mean this old type razor which my grandpa used.. but.. I'm shaving my face with classic razor and at first time I had "issues" with it, You need to learn how to use it properly and what's most important - safely. I was thinking about trying it to shave my head, but I really never went for it. Why tho? It's same thing as with shaving Your face -> all these razor blade machines have 3, 4 or more blades so each stroke is doubling that. If You use 4 or 5 blade razor machine 3 strokes on same spot means Your skin got affected 12 or 15 times - it just leads to burns, especially when You are shaving against the grain. That's also the reason why I switched to classic razor to shave my face - 1 sharp blade means less skin irritation, and skin irritations and burns might be a thing that turns off a lot of people from using razor bladed machines to shave their heads. If You want to try it for the first time try to get solid one, not the cheapest You can get cuz it might be not as good and sharp.

Like" (Mitchells' Wool Fat or Arko Sticks. Just to name a few of them?) You can mix and match your old Soaps? Cut up the soap on a paper plate, pour your soap chunks with the shavings from the Paper Plate into a Mug, cover the soap with a small amount of water, and microwave your soap. For about a minute or so? Place a paper plate under your mug in case it bubbles out of your cup? If it foams up, STOP. The water keeps it from burning itself up. (DON'T OVER WATER YOUR SOAP??) Easy, does it? Let cool don't want to Crack the Mugs or Cups you're using? (You just want it to Congeal in your Mug or Cup') it is very hot and watery'''''. let it cool in . PLACE'. after it cools, put it in a Sunny Window, until the Soap hardens? When using your soaps, use Dry Brush Less Water. It thickens the soap, making it easier to use on your face. I hate shaving my head. I use brio beardscape as a trimmer/clippers to get it down, which does get it very close but it’s an annoying process to do myself as a primary head shaving method. I’ve tried multiple different brands of cartridge razors (Gillette fusion pro glide 5 blade or whatever gimmick name it’s called, Harry’s 5 blade one, schick Quattro titanium, dollar shave club 6 blade one) and I cut myself every single time, it doesn’t matter if I go against the grain or just do with/across I always end up bleeding. I’ve also tried electric razors (the foil at the barbers and the “round” kind at home) and they irritate my head so much as well. I don’t know what to do as this point. I want to be bald not balding but every method just ends up failing somehow.

Have you tried a safety razor? Rockwell with Merkur or Feather blades works great for me, but it takes some time to learn.

I actually have a bald spot on top like yours, big as a hand palm but the rest of the hair is perfect (high hairline), zidane look without the money 😂😂
Im 0 shaved (not razor), i'm really luckly that i'm tall, fit, great eyes face shape / definition , jaw etc and i sometimes get compliments too or recognize people looking.
I know that i look good but for some fucking reason i still take that small mirror and i look at that spot that obviously has a different skin colour and i still can't fully accept it.
I'm not saying it's causing me mental breakdowns but i think i think about that too much, hope this goes away with time 😒😡
    Btw thanks for inspiration

How is it compared to a razor blade? If you have tried both …

    • @msagoo29

@@Life_is_a_yourney On the face it isn't that bad, but it struggles on the neck area despite going at it from different angles, and always leaves stray hairs behind. On the cheeks and goatee area - it's perfect, and on the head it's brilliant. I always prefer wet shave on the face though.

Rubbish! I alternate between a top of the range rotary shaver and a Wilkinson Sword razor. The Wilkinson razor shaves a lot closer than the shaver.
It’s technically impossible for an electric/ battery shaver to shave as close as a shaver. Surely everybody realised that by now.
