My Toyota Echo is literally flooding when it rains, even if the car doesn't move! We've had two bad storms, and that's when I noticed it. The back seat passenger floor was probably half filled, and the front was getting soaked, and even a little on front drivers side! I'm so freaking frustrated at this point... I called my mechanic, but he said he thought it's prob the back window leaking... But I don't think it's that... The back shelf part, between the seat and window, is bone dry, as are seats. There is a chunk missing in the seal on the door... But maybe this is the issue? I don't even know what to do at this point. I don't even know how to get the water out, besides soaking it w towels, washing drying towels and repeat... I only have so many towels I can junk, lol! I don't have a wet/dry Vac, and the car wash Vac says to only use on dry surface. It's going to be getting warm out, & then mold and smell will be issue if I can't get it done. My father is an autobody person, but has been up to his eye balls in redoing his parents house, as they have passed, & let a big mortgage, & the not being remodeled since like the 50s. He's going to try and look at it this weekend, so I'll tell him about this, & hopefully, it's in the same spot on my car. Anyway, just venting, lol, and over tired. Thanks for posting, & hopefully, this will be at least the fix part to my car too! 😉😆
Sweet Project Cars ok, I def will check those areas! I had a friend of a friend whose also autobody people, take a quick look at my car, and although he couldn't take it today, as they are appointment only & busy, he did take the time to come out, take a quick look at where the water is collecting & the seals, and he said the same exact thing as u did in this video! He said he's even seen cars FULL of dirt & debris all the way up the wheel well compartment area (if that's what it's called, bc he just pointed it out to me) behind the front tire. So, he said to take it all out, and check really good! Thanks again for this upload and for responding! I wasn't sure if it'd apply to my car too, and now I know, it does! I'll come back to let u know for sure!

Can you do a video showing how to repair damage done to floor board done by jacking a car right under the seat. I have a big hill under my seat and its making off center.
you will need to cut a piece of 3/4 ply wood slightly smaller than the floor area and hammer it down with a sledge hammer
Where you find that at tho
it is not hard to remove water and dry them inside car, but smell of mold will be there, how to remove the odd smell?
Thank you so much buddy! God bless you for this
Thank you very much for the comment.... Have a blessed day! mad Mike SPC
where is this on a toyota corolla?
Thanks for the help I didn't really know what is going on with my car but now I do why...
mo glad we could help you...thanks mike SPC
Where do you find it on a Nissan Altima 2017. Does anyone know what proper name of the drain is?
Not sure where it’s located on that particular vehicle but it sounds like the vehicle Is quite new so I would just go to a Nissan dealership and the service manager will gladly pointed out to you
As soon as you say, "Watch out, watch this" to show the clogged drain hose, the video screen fills up with thumbnails for other videos. I can't see for bleep what you're talking about.
sorry about that youtube is in charge of all that stuff nothing we can do about that. thanks and have a great day mad Mike SPC
im having this problem with my 98 grand maruis and on my car it looks like that drian is connected to my blower motor input which is missing but the drain isn't clogged would it be deeper in or something maybe???
that drain you are talking about on your blower motor is your A/C condensation drain the drain for this video will be somewhere in the cowl of the vehicle and that the tough part finding it my friend
Did you figure it out? I m having this issue with my 2001 grand Marquis
Em22 look around your windshield cowl and look for plug drains this is usually the issue...hope this helps
I'll come back to let u know for sure!
we will help you to get it fixed and then all will be good :)
@@Em22-wtf you end up figuring it out?
Why does it go to the back seat?
Depends on where the drain tube is, and what make of car, most cars have a slight slope toward the back of the vehicle causing the water to puddle toward the back. Hope this helps Leroy. Thanks for watching, have a great day. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Where do find that on a Toyota Camry 98?
best thing to do is just stop by a toyota dealership and ask the service manager they will tell you in a second and for free
So I have water in the floor boards and all the way in the rear-end where the tire is stored. 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander.
Need to find your cowl drains and make sure they aren't plugged just like we show in the video. Thanks. mad Mike the hammer SPC
Couldn't find that drain ... but also found another video showing an over active AC condenser.
Can also be blocked AC drains as on my discovery 2
thank you for sharing this :)
Sir the same is happening with my i10 magna!? How to solve at home?
best to find the drain tube and you may have to stop by a dealer to have them tell you where it is so you can then repair it my friend
I love you thank you for this video 💗

I would think it would go to the front floor boards.I had a 96 Pontiac Grand AM that would be wet on the driver's side never did find out why. That car ended up being a money pit.
it does go to the front and back if the car is sitting flat. we parked on a slight angle to see if it would go to the back and SHAZAMMM!
Problem solved!! Ty for sharing
I had this problem

thank you David
So what exactly is the part called so I can locate it on my car.
Daniel Ceron it is your drain vent tube for your cowl
It’s would be helpful if I knew what part of the car you were looking at. You zoomed in so close I can’t tell. Somebody help me out lol
Robin Norman it is a little tube with a rubber flapper on it
@@SweetProjectCars Where is the little tube???
Open your hood and look along the bottom of your windshield
Some stupid mice keep getting into the engine and building nests, they built one in that area where the water drains. The backseat was full of water today and I guess the dumb mice clogged that drain then
ALL F-O-R-D-S!!!
Easier fixed with a rifle I believe. Shit design eh? That car must STINK.
we caught it early
Sweet Project Cars Kudos.
