During my childhood, my mom made a curried lentils and onions dish served over rice and topped with yogurt. Of course, we hated the lentils as kids, but now it's one of our favorite things from our mom's kitchen.

This is just an idea for a new series... Could you guys maybe eventually do like a full dinner from the appetizers, all the way to the dessert for special occasions, such as Easter (that's on its way), Christmas, Valentines, and so on.

I tend to eat really light before working out. Prolly just fruits like a slice of papaya or rock melon. After work out...protein! I love a good beef noodle or chicken sandwich much.
And for personal, something really personal for me, is bread pudding. Its such a great dessert, the love for bread pudding is in my blood. I thank my mom for giving me a love for bread pudding.
I loooove bacon and lentils, I hadn't had them in ages until just the other night, can't wait to give this one a go. Loving Mike's Arsenal shirt, I hate sports but I could watch Arsenal play literally all the time. Also NBA Jam is one of my favorite games of all time, it's one of those ones thats so awful that it's great. And thanks Ben, I'm adding "pokey" to my vocabulary. I love how they put kale in a bowl that says CUSTARD all over it, hahaha.

I made this for dinner (minus poached eggs) and to say this recipe is delicious would be an understatement! Someone may or may not have licked their plate clean. Don't look at me like that! I didn't say it was me (but it was, and I'm not sorry). Super simple recipe that really delivers.
Wasn't exactly in the 80's (1990) but I have a Sega Mega Drive and a Nintendo 64 :D I love them to bits!
Also, never thought of lentils! Such a great idea for after the gym or a healthy lunch to take to work!

We have all the old games consoles in my house, I remember the Sega Saturn the most though (I played Virtua Cop with the Light Gun so much when I was little) I'm pretty sure my dad still has his old ZX Spectrum somewhere as well :)

I spent one summer eating mostly creamy spinach. About 2-3 cups of that a day, sometimes on garlic toast or with fruit.
Smoothies are the best. A little ginger spinach, cilantro, lime juice and mixed frozen berries. Chuck it all into a blender and its the perfect snack. Super light and healthy.

Very similar to my favourite dish: Delia Smith's Chicken and Pye lentils. The key is red wine in the lentils and rosemary with the chicken.
looks and sounds amazing guys. loving this 'sorted-made-personal' series. for me, malaysian vegetable salmon-head curry is my all time fav comfort food. super healthy and really spicy and warming during winter. :)

I grew up on vietnamese food, my favourite out the bunch is banh beo with fresh dried shrimp, mmm so good. Thought I really do enjoy banh xeo, crab soup and pho, I'd have to say banh beo is up on the list. You should try it out!
I love lentils. I do low carb myself as well for health reasons, though lately, I have mildly started introducing the bad carbs into my diet, yet nowhere near how I used to eat a year ago.

I modified the lentils. Away with the celery and onion, go with scallions instead and a full liter of chicken stock and no red wine (didn't have any). Tasted soooooooo good. Will definitely make these lentils again!

I'm not too sure what it's called in English but I think rice porridge would be the closest equivalent to it. My dad used to make it on Sunday mornings when we could all have breakfast together. Rice, ginger, spring onions, garlic and chicken. Really simple flavors but they always just remind me of home.
I just made the lentils with the egg and i loved it!
