Bennett getting further and further into the wardrobe as you're having a very serious conversation about privilege and work is hilarious

  • @cristaB92

Do not feel like you have to justify or earn feeling tired or stressed or anxious. You have a right to feel that way.
People don’t understand how invasive and demanding being a content creator can be.
As someone with similar mental health diagnoses, thank you for being so honest about your mental health. Your transparency is part of what drew me so strongly to your channel. You acknowledging your luck and privilege, just shows how realistic you are about your current career situation.
Give yourself the grace and understanding that you’d give to anyone else.

No explanation necessary 👍 when self employed your right it’s not a 9-5pm it’s a 24/7 and a ton of work as you are not only working full time you are marketing manager, camera person, editor, business owner, accountant, HR and PR person for yourself to keep your business growing and successful! Thats just the RUclips part of your life! So anyone who makes a comment about being overwhelmed clearly has no clue whats involving in being self employed! ❤ rant over! 😊

That’s really rude that someone commented saying that working a 9-5 is more stressful than working for yourself. Both are stressful I’m their own ways; I like the way you sat and talked about it with such grace. Keep up the good work (loving watching your daily blogs 😊)

There are plenty of people who do understand what it means and what it takes to create good, consistent content like yours. On top of that, you are self-employed, like me. That alone is super stressful, I know from experience. You just keep doing you, you’re doing it well enough to keep growing your channel ❤❤❤

I think the "problem" you have with your room is that you have too many furniture... for such a small room 😊 Maybe a bigger dresser/wardrobe to replace a couple of the other storage solutions you have 😊

You have the right to complain! You have a non conventional job which does not mean it’s easy. People only knows one truth and can’t deal with other realities. You’re doing an amazing job posting every day and I’m so grateful for that because I love having your vlogs to unwind on the end of the day. ❤❤

"Sprayway" glass cleaner in the can, never streaks, case closed. I've seen Maggie on other vlogs of yours and she seems to be a good person, you're lucky to have her as a friend.😊I'm sure you can tell but If you didn't know, people who watch your channel truly care about you as a person. So you being up front and honest about who you are and how you feel is more than ok. So don't let any negative comments get to you, you have an awesome channel and you are a good person and that's what matters. Have a fantastic tomorrow and see ya next time.😊

That's what makes it all worthwhile. Happy Holidays

Have you tried placing the small white dresser as a nightstand? Then push the white double dresser down the wall closer to the door to open up that area. I'd then add the tall shelf to the side of your desk. It would be balanced with the mirror.

I think that you twenty somethings have actually carved out a new career and there’s nothing wrong if RUclips were your game plan for the rest of your life. Things change and we’re just living in a time where being a RUclipsr is both attainable and lofty and for those who actually make it happen something to be applauded because of the amount of work and talent that it takes to do it. I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point colleges start to add RUclipsr to their curriculum and actually start to teach people how to do it. Seriously…And I’m here for it. Great video Alexis😃

I usually watch your vlogs and don't comment, but I really felt bad for you. Having that person be mean to you in that last post. You don't know it but you're vlogs bring me peace and comfort. I have really bad anxiety and have been going through some stuff for months and I found your channel when I was hitting rock bottom with depression and anxiety. Stop omg the very real, serious discussion meanwhile Bennett is in the background opening your closet door 😅😅😅
But honestly, I can’t even imagine being a RUclipsr/vlogger/content creator. People can comment all they want on it, but they’re still here watching your creations and that takes a lot of effort in editing and production, let alone the fact you have to be mindful of constantly recording your everyday life. I love watching vlogs, its my favorite type of relatable media because its real, but I acknowledge it must be a hard thing to balance so you’re not living to vlog rather than living and vlogging it.

Alexis, I would add long boards (shelves) on brackets up kinda high towards the ceiling. It will bring the eyes up and alleviate space and clutter on the dressers, leaving room for attractive decor. I like the mirror where you put it. And could you do more singing in your videos?

I very rarely comment on any of the youtubes I watch but I wanted to come and say I have been enjoying your vlogmas and also your moving videos. I have finally caught up on all the vlogmas videos. I am old enough to be your mother :) I am happy to see you not using paper plates. I know a random thing but so many food people show their food on paper plates. Just more garbage to add to a landfill somewhere, worse when they have fabulous kitchens with dishwasher....Also wanted to comment on how very well spoken you are. I know there is editing that goes on but it is rare for someone your age to not have lots of "like" or "or whatever" in the conversation. I will definitely continue to watch you on your journey.

Sometimes explaining your experience can be thought of as actually helping reduce the "social media overwhelm" - it's easy to get really envious and annoyed about 'influencers' or be made to feel terrible about your own life and acheivements compared with theirs, especially perhaps for us older people who can also get some "so unfair that was never an option..." kind of thing. I watch vlogs for the ups and the downs of life, and I've stopped watching a lot because the person is showing such a shiny, well put together life - that's either artifice (in which case I can watch shows where there's an actual plot beyond "person succeeding and consuming") or they're just not in the same world as I am and it's bad for my mental health to watch theirs. All of that to say, you go girl, you don't ever owe anyone an explanation, but your honesty makes your channel watchable and will I think help others have a realistic view of your current job, rather than an envious one.
Take care of yourself! (and new places take forever to settle into...)

Seriously Alexis, you keeping up with all of these videos is incredible!! I've started doing RUclips as well and it takes me freaking forever to edit and post a video. Mind you, our editing styles are a little different, but it's still so inspiring and mind-blowing to me that you put out these videos daily like you are doing. There is just no way that I could do that with my current skill level, so it's obvious you have put in a lot of work in honing your skills, and you're doing an amazing job! ❤️

To suggest that only people with 9-5 jobs can be overwhelmed is incredibly ignorant and shows a a lack of awareness off mental health issues and the impact these can have on people’s day to day lives. You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone. Your RUclips success is down to your hard work there’s nothing privileged about it. Anyone with a smart phone can make RUclips videos so if it’s as easy as some people seem to think it is then why aren’t they doing it? Working for yourself requires self discipline and motivation, as you said you’ve no boss to keep you on track you have to do this for yourself. I think there are definitely people who find your videos relatable and find them helpful. Those who don’t or can’t relate should be very grateful that they don’t as they clearly don’t have the same difficulties that you and a lot of other people face. Navigating mental health whilst trying to live a fulfilling life is a massive challenge for a lot of people. Keep doing what you’re doing Alexis, you are making a difference and to anyone who disagrees, watching her videos isn’t mandatory there are plenty more RUclips channels out there. Hope you have a very happy Christmas 🎅🏻🎄⛄️🎁🥳

Just generally can 2024 be the year that people on social media platforms stop continually complaining about how hard their job is? Yes we all complain about our job but it is getting so old and annoying to watch people just complain every post. If it is so terrible and hard then get another job.... Yes work can be hard for all of us in what ever we do, but the entitlement from some is awful.
