I think that is something general that you notice about music. First and foremost there must be a good beat, rhythm, and sound, past that the words, or meanings are less important. Even if you do not know German, all Falco's songs are better in German, than in English. Also all Nena's songs including 99 Luftballons. The original German version is tops. Don't listen to the English version. Also, the Peter Schilling "Major Tom" is better in German, because that was the original and it sounds better, whether or not you can understand it.

This August I was in Vienna for the weekend. By chance not far from Beethoven Platz I found Falco’s bar and restaurant. It is filled wall to wall with memorabilia of him. Also the food there is good as well.
