Do you mean the station? I've only lived here 5 years. They recently increased the number of trains that depart from Oceanside. There's not a lot they can do about delays. As I understand it, Metrolink does not control all the tracks they travel on. The area near Buena Park is controlled by the freight train company, so if there's an issue on their end the Metrolink trains are delayed. I'd say they are on time 90% of the time, but have been as much as 90 minutes late (usually because of a mechanical issue). Someone abandoned a pickup truck on the tracks and that delayed the train an hour or so. Also, if someone gets run over by a train (which occurs a lot more than you might think, a few times a month I would guess) that can delay the train 1-3 hours while the police investigate.
