Doesn’t hurt to let people know about your store. Didn’t even know you had one until now. Maybe I missed a mention in earlier video. Checking it out now. Thanks!
To heat a can of food with the jetboil, put water in the jet boil and the sit the can in the water.
Boil it up and stir the can, easy
Ever since I went to camping school ( popular private school so I changed the name) 40 years ago I still eat spc spaghetti straight out of the can cold on bread At home for lunch (not while at camp). I don’t heat it at all. Yummy.
Your more than welcome to keep promoting biker bits store. Don’t have to apologise please mention it as much as possible.
Hi from Sweden. Love your videos. Started with a spoon and then went bloody bananas. 😂 Please nerver stop. Makes my day every time.
back in the 60 to 70's crossing the Nullabor,, we learnt a great meal from the road trains,, HASH MAGHANDI!! Easy,,, take all the labels off your stock of can food, decided how many cans would feed all, ark up the fry pan, and empty the contents in. Great if one had a spare onion... heat up till bubbling, then serve!!! Every meal totally different. LOL yum
Also did you know the plastic inside the tin was in there when it was cooked at the processing plant, i dont think a reheat with low temperatures as you say woul be any different.
good vid Mark !!
Thanks for the ideas! Like these simple man videos.
I remember being told it was lead, way back in the day. Used to seal it up. In any case ur would need to turn to gas, or liquid, to be consumed.
Just moved to Maryborough. Might have to join? Used to ride years ago and looking to get into it again
Brilliant vid again, thanks!
Opinel No.8 a great knife used by the Basque people of southern France.
Thanks Mark, in fact I got all my cooking gear from your earlier videos and its been fantastic to have the right equipment without too much weight, I have kept it simple, enough for me to cook, and I like to cook and use a combination of Can Veg, Precooked Rice (Bens) and Can Stews and Frozen meats...so THANKS for helping us out.... David Cauchi ...Adelaide...Tiger 900GT & Scrambler......
you can use a cup on a jetboil Mark use a jetboil pot adapter & a Stove Ceramic Gauze Mat if need be
Heinz big eat and a spoon. Simple and easy. Much better than the freeze dried crap. Can eat it cold in a pinch and 2 for $5.
I think you covered it really well Mark. Different ways of doing the cooking job.
Got half your kitchen on your bike mate aha love it. New to riding and I've done one overnighter so far, keen to do plenty more.
Yup, all you need. Back in my boy scout days the backpacking kit is; spoon, bowl, and Sierra cup
I freeze one of those plastic bottles and stick it inside the hydration pack. It keeps it cool but also saves some water for later. Maccas used to also give us large cups of iced water for free..(not sure if they still do that)
Which celebrity is always ready for desert.
Reece. With her spoon 🥄
😂🤦♂️
Hey Mark, good to see what you use when camp cooking and some good ideas for some. I have a similar setup but one thing I bring is a small packet of baby wipes can be used to clean a multiple of things like ya cooking/eating stuff and or a freshen up for your self if in the bush a few days (like the branch n berries n mud hole)
_“Me? I’m into cooking meals that only need one spoon to prepare whilst motorcycle camping.”_
Said no one ever. You’d be hard pressed to find something more niche than this.
As an ex grunt always take cups canteen use it for everything. 😊
G,day Mark great video for beginners, one of the best parts of my camping trips is planning the meals for the week, always take too much food, can't beat a good fry up for breakfast.
I've taken a lot if your advice over the years. To build up my moto cooking gear. I do miss your shit easy cooking videos. I enjoy seeing you expand your meal plan.
Great vid mate
Good viewing. Love the candid non scripted approach.
Mate! Excellent advice for a Guy who's just getting started. i had to go immediatly to Nay's store and grab some things that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. Even eBay! Good stuff mate. i'll have to come for a ride one day.
Boiling water in a paper cup is a good visual to show an explain why you can cook food in a can safely. Its a common experiment done in school science classes. Lots of youtube videos showing it done.
hahahah just watched one of the first video you've made from 2012 the Motorcycle Camping Cooking Gear fun to see the 10year progress the tripod table was some invention hahaha😉....greetings from out Belgium Mark keep up the good vids
I came here looking for a solution to the pocket rocket hot spot. The bunsen burner pad is brilliant. Thanks.
I just took fork, spoon and butter knife from my kitchen drawer and grinded them little shorter to fit in my cheap aluminium cooking pot that holds other cooking stuff.
My camping gear is the same as what I usually cook with but smaller... metal fork knife and spoon, basically same setup as you.
If just an overnight most times don't even bring the fire, just a few nut/muesli bars, or a slice.
Stanley camping gear is the go. SS folding handle pan with a thick bottom is a great fryer plus you get accessories with it plates and tools excellent $60 amazon and the 2 cup pot set famous add on check youtube. Cheers
I’ve pulled into a maccas a couple of times just to fill up my hydration back pack with ice pubs are helpful too 👌great videos bud 😊
A mini grill from a toaster oven is real handy. They weigh nothing and sit flat in your gear.
Yea but what is ya missus gonna eat!!!!! Lol 😂
Hi Mark
Great video it reminded me to order a new flame deflector thing
I got my first ones off you years ago and they work well
By the way what number Opinel knife please
Cheers from WA
No.8 👍
Thanks
Jesus ocker do u have adhd.? I was diagnosed a few years back and I’m having trouble keeping up 😂...keep up the good work
Watched a lot of Marks vids... I was starting to think the same, ADHD, but then wondered if he filmed this after a recent podcast.... A FEW WHISKEYS LATER.... :)... Napkins Mark... I have in my kit, a dunny roll, flattened. Many uses.. nose, cleanup, fire starter, wipe your bum... best to discard the last one after use. Also good with a bit of water and clean the visor of bugs.
Although it’s not perfect I have been able to throttle my jetboil down.
Hotdogs 😂
You’re on a motorbike, so a few ounces/grams are not going to tip the boat!😉
Simples…
Great survival trick but yeh na not for camping🤢
Learn how to use flint and steel 😂
You have proved that JetBoil makes no sense, not versatile at all except boiling water and coffee press.
I eat dogs….
