So I am completely new to creating SVG files and I feel like I have been binge watching your videos. They are so informative, and have helped me figure out Inkscape so well. My only issue is I'm still not sure what all file types I should be saving as.
It's always a good idea to test your files but if they work in cricut they will work in silhouette You would need a higher edition outside of basic though for silhouette and if you don't have a machine it's really not needed
When I make the flower I can see every layer before I even begin the stamping. It is like it is translucent and I can see the full circle and the full pedal outline if I am making sense. Am I doing something wrong? I did it 4 times but obviously something is incorrect on my end.
Hey Ashley without physically seeing what you are experiencing it is hard for me to troubleshoot. If you could post this in the FB group that would be helpful and then we can get you sorted out!
I recommend 12x12 because that's what most die cutting machines use for their cutting mats. The beauty of SVGs is that they can be resized without loss of quality so the size isn't SUPER critical
Yes I am working on Affinity now just takes super long. Inkscape course start to finish took me about 4 months in between all the madness. This one will hopefully be released in May if not sooner fingers crossed
Great video! Thank you!
You are welcome!

Glad you like them! I would say SVG, DXF and PNG at a minimum. Those are the most commonly used files. Not a lot of people use JPEG anymore.
This is awesome!! Thank you!
You're welcome!
I am just starting out trying to sell SVG's, I have a cricut should I download the design app for silhouette too?

Are you still recommending placeit for mockups or is there others you prefer?
Yes I am!
Do you save the file as a plain SVG or Inkscape SVG? Thanks for the video. Very helpful.
I usually save as inkscape svg I don't believe it matter though
Do I need to have a cricut machine to install the design space for testing the SVGs I made?
Nope! I don't have a cricut anymore and was using design space during this tutorial!
@@ShootingStarSVG I see. Thanks so much for this. 😊
Can I use linearity app as an alternative for inkscape and still sell my deigns legally?
im confused what category listing product for selling svg file
thanks
I use clip art and image files
Thank you for this video! Would you recommend using a 12x12 art board for all svg designs?
I recommend 12x12 because that's what most die cutting machines use for their cutting mats. The beauty of SVGs is that they can be resized without loss of quality so the size isn't SUPER critical
@@ShootingStarSVG that makes sense, thank you.
Thank you was a bit confusing but I will get it
If there is anything you need specific help with let me know!
