    In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
    Male-pattern baldness
    Women tend to lose hair along the part.
    Female-pattern baldness
    Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
    Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
    Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
    Traction alopecia
    t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
    Frontal fibrosing alopecia
    Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
    Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
    Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
    Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
    Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
    Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
    Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
    When to see a doctor
    See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
    Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
    People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.

    That's a great point, I was completely against the possibility to use a hair system for a year because of my friends opinions, but if they are not mature enough to understand points as being vulnerable, maybe they are not on the same level mentally at the moment, do this for your self

    Seborrheic (seb-o-REE-ik) dermatitis is a common skin condition that mainly affects your scalp. It causes scaly patches, red skin and stubborn dandruff. Seborrheic dermatitis can also affect oily areas of the body, such as the face, sides of the nose, eyebrows, ears, eyelids and chest. I’m sure this will really affect any wear time since it is trying to be controlled. Right?

    I recently started getting psoriasis, so I started using a psoriasis shampoo, when I take unit off, wash in luke warm water, I also try to give my scalp a break, not wear the unit at least over night, before the service, then I been using a product like scalpicin, I use it before system is reapplied. DO NOT use a lotion, I use Walgreens scalp relief, it has the consistency of water, apply before scalp protecter, make sure scalp is dry, before protecter is applied. Hate to say it I also cut back on the booze, that also can trigger a flare up

    It is what it is, can have many causes from autoimmune to sensitive skin.
    Even my dermatologist could not help me much then I did what you said, too the issue on my own and most of my problem improved. That took a long time but I got it. This topic needs more future discussion for sure. Man you rock. This is the best channel ever. Pete

    Jake I have a hair system which I'm using for over 7 months now. I was living in Dubai and using it and had no issues but after coming to Canada, I'm experiencing discomfort and irritation. Getting flaky skin around the hair system where the tape runs. I don't know if it's got to do with the weather here in Canada.
    My hair system is poly behind and on the sides and lace in front. I think it's the adhesive causing the discomfort.

    Jake, my scalp is very sensitive, and so I use a tape called Jesband (also called Idrobenda.) It can be found at www.jesbandcare.com. The tape is hydrocolloidal and absorbs moisture into itself. It is great for sensitive skin and is used by people who have burn scars on their scalp. Check it out! It might help the guy with sebbhoraic dermatitis!

    When all else fails or having a crappy day, a hat without hair also works. Use tape so you have a choice to not wear hair . Be flexible for your own mental health. Maybe you don't like working out with hair and a hat is more sensible. Maybe you don't like sleeping in hair, it's your choice and you will get more milage out of your hairpiece. Be nice to yourself. Do it for yourself, choose to be happy, you can't control the thoughts and behaviour of others.

    great video Jake!
    by the way has anyone ever experienced that after removing the hairsystem 98% of the glue-residues remain on the scalp/head's skin and not on the hairsystem's material?
    It's already the third time it has happened to me and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm using the ghostbond platinum glue. Cleaning the head's skin takes me at least a hour while cleaning the hairsystem a few minutes (after putting some C22 for a hour/or two on the side of where the glue).... i rather prefer it would be like it is for you guys... taking not much time to clean your scalp while it takes me about more than a hour of using c22, isopropanol, at least two times washing head with shampoo as well and of course a lot of scratching and using many, many cotton balls.
    I would appreciate any help/advice (since I have started to use a hairsystem not even a month ago)

    • @williamcharles8628
      @williamcharles8628 4 года назад +1

      This may sound weird I sometimes use a tongue scraper, also maybe let product sit a few minutes, before cleaning scalp

    • @panix186
      @panix186 4 года назад +1

      @@williamcharles8628 Thank you for the advice. Has it ever caused any bleeding (from scratching i got a small spot that bled)? If no, I will order it and try it out.
      Do you use any specific products for cleaning? C22? Isopropanol? Something else (f.e. i heard coconut oil. I tried it out recently and I'm not sure if it really helped/worked)
      But generally I'm not sure what is causing the glue not really to stick on the hairsystem when i take it off. Before applying glue on the scalp, I apply a scalp protector. And of course i also clean the hairsystem's surface with isopropanol a few minutes before i start to apply glue (2 layers) on my head. Maybe something here is causing this?
      Because yeah, from Jake's previous videos or the ones from Curtis (MHE) I have never seen so much glue on their scalp. And usually they have most of the glue on the hair system :/

      Hi Ivan, I’ve had that happen to me. The first question is ask, is how long are you keeping the bond on your scalp? The longer I keep mine on, the more it tends to stick to my scalp, as opposed to the unit. Also,
      I’ve found that using c22/dawn soap on my natural hair (if there is some adhesive stuck in it) can help get it out. It’s definitely not the most gentle, but it does the trick in a pinch

    • @JakeKent
      @JakeKent  4 года назад +1

      This is a really interesting tip. I gotta try this

    • @panix186
      @panix186 4 года назад

      @@JakeKent HI Jake, i appreciae your answer. I tend to keep the unit/bond for 7 days on the scalp. Hm, maybe i should try and see what happens if i put it off every 4 days instead of 7.
      I've already ordered the dawn soap. I can not wait to see how it will work out.
      But just to understand you, whenever you put your hairsystem off, do you first spray c22 on your scalp and let it 'work' for a few minutes and then use your hands or pads to remove the bond from the skin? Or do you just let c22 rinse and then you put also dawn soap and then wash your head (f.e. with shower)?
      May i ask how did you solve your issue? I do not remember you mentioned you would put your hairsystem off often, but more like once a week too?

    • @JakeKent
      @JakeKent  4 года назад +1

      That’s completely dependent on what you value most. For me, no. The most valuable thing is me living my life, without feeling uncomfortable, or like my hair system is forcing me to make lifestyle choices.
      However my unit has a poly perimeter. 😅

    I tell everyone my hair isn't real. I'm completely transparent about it and openly joke about it. My girlfriend helps me attach mine.
    Regarding bases: Poly thin skin is AWFUL. I bought one based on a RUclipsr/stockist bigging them up, but in reality they're terrible. The hairline was shiny and reflected light, I couldn't believe how bad it was. The RUclipsr said they'd never had issues with overheating, but I don't see how that's possible. Mine also ripped immediately.
    My Swiss lace is DRASTICALLY more durable than the thin skin.

The hair is not very good always gets too hard. Plus the supplier here has a fixed style with v shapes hairlines, but mine should be round, so, I always have to cut the widow’s peak to make it more curvy or straight. Sometimes the base gets hard and it hurts.
