Before you start spamming r/ whoosh I know the joke I understand the joke I just wanted to let you know there was a job known as being a bellhop and that's literally what it is just sitting in an elevator pressing buttons to bring people up and down the elevator that's it
It's actually pretty appropriate that the owl is sitting at the end surrounded by skulls since bones and other debris are what they yak back up in their after dinner pellets.
John, just so you know, I took a bath and made sure to leave the door unlocked so that my girlfriend would come in. When she did, I yelled "GET ME SOME CORN!" She said "Get your own fucking corn" and stomped out.
But why would you hold a loaded pistol against your head just for a photo? She definitely knew what was coming. (That is a good observation, though. I always thought of that as just a cool event trigger, no pun intended, but maybe she needed the extra push.)
@@theblackbaron4119 I'm just gonna say that the atmosphere of Rusty Lake suggests that many characters know more than they might appear to know about what's going on. Many of these deaths felt more like ritual. Maybe that's just because I've played Paradise though.
@@Nat_the_Chicken I think that (spoiler for paradise) her being Elisabeth might have something to do with it. I think that Elisabeth and to a lesser extent David (??) Both of them put themselves into the situations voluntarily which is different from mr deer, mrs pigeon, and mr boar who get killed against their will and who are the adults in paradise. So I think she might have gone into it being okay with that from the guilt.
@@mikanviola That's a really cool take, I hadn't thought of that either. Like, "I know why Jakob is trying to kill us and he's kinda justified, we were a fucked up family."
Were the animals' reasons for wanting death an issue of guilt? The point being, they might have all hated themselves and therefore let themselves be eaten. So, where does that leave you, the killer, the bat-cat (who I think is just a bat), Mr. Crow, and Mr. Owl. HEY JOHN: Just so you know, the Cube Escape series is a bit non-linear timeline-wise. If you want to play them in order, you should start with the free Flash games in the order they take on the screen at the end of Hotel (Seasons, The Lake, Arles, Harvey's Box, Case 23, and The Mill), then the next three that weren't out yet when Hotel was released (Birthday, Theatre, and The Cave), then I'm pretty sure you can play the paid games in release order. To say as little as possible, there are multiple story threads that all ultimately tie into Rusty Lake.
I think the best way, if you want to understand all the references to previous games, is just to play them in the order they came out. (Except for The Lake which was accidentally released just before Seasons.) So the first six Flash games, then Hotel, then Birthday and Theatre, then Roots, then The Cave, and then the rest of the paid games (Paradise, Paradox, probably The White Door).
Loved this. It does seem as if all 5 were resigned to their fate. Thus, when Harvey pays a visit, they know what's coming and asks the man to grant their final wish. And what better staff can keep an eye on them at night, but the nocturnal creatures. The bat, crow, and the owl. Time to watch the rest of this. XD

Also, the lift operator is not a cat, he's a flying fox.
Ive forgotten gaddamn everything about this series so I am marathoning it for paradise haha.
John I want to complement you on the fact that I can watch you consistently because of your personality and energy while some other youtubers are too dull or calm for me to watch them often. No matter what mood im in I can bare your videos, even more enjoy them.
I've been really happy seeing John play all these point and click games lately. Good stuff.
This is one of my favorite game series. It’s so eerie and beautiful and I love it so much
3:35 ...It's John.
You're eating Mr. deer. Yeah but more importantly the meat died via poison...Not the healthiest option for butchering
ITS A CAT BAT
No John, it’s just a bat
I love the time passing when you prod the cat-bat. It's like "cool my murder and ingredient collection is done, guess I gotta just annoy the elevator operator until it's daytime again"
Love this game series. Glad to see Jonh play it
Give us more of this, John.
I love the little details, like putting thyme on the clock. Clever girl.
Oh my goodness!! YES !! Rusty lake series is my favorite point and click. Thank you for playing this 😃
AHH Please play them all John! They're amazing games!
Loved the puppets, Punch and Judy, a British Child’s outdoor puppet show. Good memories
I hope John plays the Cube Escape games, just as odd and mysterious but shorter and free. It's really interesting!
Yes!!! I’m so happy you’re playing this. Loved watching Sinow play
Really neat little game. Really enjoyed it. Always love soft spot for point and click. Looking forward to watching the other games. Thumbs up awesome as always John. true star*
Who wouldn't like these kinds of games the lore behind this entire series is great!
Ooh, I never manage to finish Rusty Lake games on my own, so I’m super excited for this.
Should have watched it before commenting, haha. I could tell you were really into it and had fun with this one. Can't wait for the rest of them; this is one of my favorite series so I'm stoked you're on board.
