    Hi, question regarding the personal statement, where so I submit the personalized statements that I created for my top schools? Or do they all receive the same statements?

    what can I do in high school to help me be ready for dental school besides the tpical get good grades and yada yada.

      Good question Nahom. To be completely honest, I wasn't the star student in high school. I only got serious about going to dental school when I was just about to start my undergrad, so the fact that you are already looking ahead to become a dentist in high school, you are much more prepared than I was. Regardless, since you have more time than most other future applicants, I would look into shadowing at multiple dental offices as well as shadow some specialists to see what you really want to do for a career. the more involved you get in dentistry, the more well rounded you will be when it comes time to attend dental school. thanks for watching the vids!

    Does the Dental application not have a prompt for the personal statement Essay?

    • @DentalPro2021
      @DentalPro2021  7 лет назад

      on the application itself, not so much... there's a few sentences on the top and bottom of the box that say you can preview what the statement will look like, as well as something that says you shouldn't cater your statement to just one school. aside from that, all of the instructions for doing the personal statement are found on the ADEA's website: www.adea.org/GoDental/Application_Prep/The_Admissions_Process/Personal_statement.aspx

    How do Letters of Recommendation work? I know a lot of schools say do not send them directly to the school. Do you input them into the online system yourself?

    Hi Dakota, nice video. I was wondering who you asked for your recommendation letters and how far in advance you asked them. Thanks :)

      I had 4 letters. 2 were from university professors that I knew pretty well, and the other 2 were from dentists that I had worked with in the past. I asked all of them about the same time, which was in February of the year I applied, so that gave those people plenty of time to write a good letter.

    What is mainly suppose to be on the personal statement that would help you get in faster or at least stand out from other applicants?

      the ADEA has some good advice on this webpage: www.adea.org/GoDental/Application_Prep/The_Admissions_Process/Personal_statement.aspx
      I have also heard that it is good to stay away from using cliche statements like "I have always wanted to go into dentistry because..." but really you will just need to play around with your wording and find out what suits you the best. I spent probably a whole year trying to perfect mine if that helps. best of luck to you and thanks for watching!

    So after the end of that last step, how many dental school can we apply?
    I dont know how it looks like..
    do we simply select the schools i want to apply?
    Imagine I want to apply like 20 schools,
    I can just select 20 schools and done?

    • @DentalPro2021
      @DentalPro2021  7 лет назад

      yep thats exactly it...unless it has changed since I applied, which is unlikely. there are roughly 65 dental schools that you have the ability to select, and you just select the ones you want, and on the same page you will also pay to send your application to those schools. The only reason I didn't put that page in the video was because I didn't have it in my slides.

      DentalPro thank you for reply!
      I have another question.
      So can you explain to me how the early application works?
      So imagine i want to apply NYU early application.
      I apply NYU on June and select rest of schools later?
      Do you know what im saying? Sorry i have bad explaination..

    • @DentalPro2021
      @DentalPro2021  7 лет назад

      You will apply to all of the schools you want to apply to in June. There's no extra fees for getting in your entire application submitted in June.
