Thanks for the video. I'll be referencing this when I install next week. I had a hell of a time tracking these bars down (in IL). I couldn't find them in stock online so I called about six dealerships until I located one set in Missouri. Most dealers showed a backorder status and they had no idea if they would be getting any back in stock. I think these bars look far better than the alternative Baron mini apes, so if you're interested in these you better get hunting.

Hello, i’ve got another question. I live in Holland where most bikes have ABS. I read on forums that it is impossible to change bars on the Bolt with ABS as you can not make that cable longer. But i went to my local dealer here and he Said that the ABS cable has got nothing to do with the handlebar as it only Goes from the brake-disc to the engine..(so not to your brake-lever). Is this true? Or did he gave me the wrong info. I want these tall bars so badly, but i’m afraid i can’t change the bars.. thanks in advance!
You can totally swap the bars on an ABS bike! Your local dealer is correct in the fact that the ABS line does not go up to the handlebar. Every line and cable up on the handlebars can be extended. Thanks for watching. - Kyle & the Chap Moto Team
Hi, great job 👏👏👏 . I have a question: if i change factory handlebar on my Yamaha Bolt to 8 inch handlebar, have i need to change Gas/Clutch/Brake cables and electric cables? Or second question how many inches handlebar can install without changing any cables? Thanks alot
Hey guys, thanks for the detailed video! One thing I am misunderstanding here. On the lower part of the risers I am not able to take out any rubber bushing. It's hard to see but I don't think I see one. Is there one on the bottom side? If I install the lower riser washer it will not sit flush with the top triple tree. Thanks!
+KingOfLuck Hi thanks for watching. You only need to remove the rubber dampners that sit beneath the washers on the top side of the triple clamp. There are no bushing on the underside to remove. Just remove the dampners, put the included washers in their place, install the risers and and bolts, then slide the other set of included washers in place from the underside.

great video. I just ordered some 10' window bars. wondering if I can go with the star cable extensions or would I have to use the Barron ones. ?? please help . and how much for the star cable kit ...thanks.
Hi Antwon, thanks for watching. I' don't have any experience with 10" bars and the Star extended cables. Off the top of my head I'd say the Star cables probably won't fit seeing as how they are designed for the Star Tall Handlebars which are only about 5" tall. So you may need to look at the Baron's cables or I believe Motion Pro has some too (depending on the end rise of your bars you might be looking at cables that are in the neighborhood of 4-6" over stock). Maybe check with the shop you bought the bars from and see if they have any experience with the 10" windows/Bolt setup and see what they say. Thank you for watching Donie. Either strategy can work, it just depends on which side of the connector you want to work from. Appreciate the response and I managed to remove by wiggling the connector out. One last question. The bar appears to be a little larger that stock. Is that normal? the clutch perch is peeling the paint off the bar as I try and slide the perch on. Any suggestions?
No problem Donie, that is what we are here for. The Perch can be loosened and if you put a flat blade screwdriver in the slot and wiggle it a bit, you can "open the clamp a bit." When you tighten the screw it will all go back into its original position. It's not that the bar is bigger, it is the powder coat all the way around the bar that increased the outside diameter. @@chaparralmotorsports thank you very much for the reply.. if u hav any videos or pics on changing bars for bolt c spec ... thanks
how the heck do you get the dang engine cutoff plug off of the holster it's on. I can't for the life of me get it off.
Hi, can you please tell us at what point in the video (time mark) you are referring to? Thank you
@@chaparralmotorsports I ended up getting it off. It was the part at around the 12:20 mark. The connector on the right had a tab on the top that was hidden really well that I needed to suppress to get the plug off of the frame. Needed to use a flat head.
Do you know if they still sell them ?
Not sure, you may have to search around for them. We no longer have them.
What is the torque setting for the riser nut?
Factory spec... would need to check the owners manual.

#3 is the extended front brake line.
Hope that clears it up.
