The most rarest and endangered species of bird in the Philippines is the "Philippine Manananggal", until now no laws has been passed to protect this poor bird.
Wow the Philippines and Sulawesi island in Indonesia have a lot in common in terms of wildlife. For example we have pigmy tarsier(cousin to the Philippines tarsier), anoa(cousin to tamaraw) and babirousa(cousin to the warty pig). They are endemic to the island.
Maybe because most of our philippine ancestors are indonesian and malaysian, and they bring some animals together with them when they migrated here in the Philippines.

The largest crocodile recorded in the Philippines wasn't a fresh water species, but an Indo-Pacific specimen who was named Lolong, caught in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur in 2011. He measured nearly 21 feet (more than 6 meters) in length and weighed 2, 370 lbs. However, Lolong died in 2013 while in captivity. His remains have been preserved and is on display at the National Museum in Manila.
And I think the second largest was 19 feet. I forgot its name but it was found in the island province of Palawan. It also died in captivity. Its remains is in Crocodile Farm in Puerto Princesa, Palawan, the province's capital.

Never knew my country had such beautiful creatures
Beautiful video
Wait the mouse-deer is endangered!?
They just appear in our backyard when we throw away leftovers fruit and veggies my mom considered them as pest lol
lmao
You're very lucky that you saw one
@@seaurchin3895 they come in pairs or triple
There are the normal-sized deer and then there's the small mouse-deer.
If they're exactly as shown in the first clips, then it's a good idea to notify the DENR so that they can track and monitor them (and hopefully protect them from poachers).
@@nightvisiongoggles no one really hunts them in our neighborhood they just consider them as pest and try to get rid of them by leading the back to a far away forest by throwing the left over fruits and vegetables there but it doesn't really work so they just ignore them
8:21 why would they step on the Whale Shark? That is strictly prohibited and there are rules thet you should't get too close at the whale shark and you shouldn't even touch it
(Edit: I corrected some miss typed words)
Not sure. It's sad.
It can hurt the sharks😔
That was a video that went viral many years ago, since then policies have been put in place educating locals and tourists on how to properly interact with whale sharks.
They take advantage of being friendly to humans of the poor whale sharks.😭
Because it's the Philippines.
Fact: Philippine mouse-deer is also called the Pilandok
They say pelanduk here in Malaysia lol
I respect you for not putting *fun*
Yes true
@@rajeshonerajesh9315 coz, we're neighbors of course
