Actually, I DO use that strategy when I played Among us (And other games like it). I'm a really bad on the spot liar. So, when someone says something slightly off or a funny thing, I immediately focus on it and emphasis it to distract everyone from the situation that would pose badly on me

I use the same thing in Mafia (its a party game based on deception). I learned to play it 4 years back and realised this tactic.
I recently almost beat an entire group of 12 people as a single mafia member ( would've beat if the already dead folks hadn't started whispering, IYKYK) and this was my go-to strategy since I didn't know any of them. But, once people catch on that this is what you do, it becomes that much harder to do!

I think AH DID have a split lip from taking Accutane. This came out in earlier evidence she was taking that medicine. I can tell you from experience that Accutane will give you blistered lips. Also your skin is extraordinarily sensitive to the sun and if you get even the slightest sunburn you can get blistered and bruised. I don't think she wanted to mention that she was taking medicine and that's why she was confabulating about her skin condition. I hope the other side could pick up on that, but maybe too late and not necessary.

I worked as a makeup artist for 15 years and: The kit she shows is a correction kit. It is used to correct discolouration on the skin and you use it as followed: first moisturiser, then correction pallet, then concealer and foundation, followed by powder, rouge, highligt etc. You do not use the correction pallet on top of the foundation. That would leave green/yellow marks on the skin. The bruise kit on the other hand, is used on top of the foundation, to create bruises. Just putting it out there...

17 YEAR Domestic Abuse _survivor_ here. Just a few key points about wearing injuries. There's NOTHING I was EVER able to do to cover a black eye from anyone. (INCLUDING MAKE-UP!)
You stay home w/ black eyes. IF you _have_ to go out, you wear huge dark shades & don't remove them. You don't get close to people, and absolutely NO talking face-to-face! Also, broken noses swell, AND they make you talk with a "stuffy nose" tone....you can't color correct for those things either. The bruise she shows where he grabbed her?🙄 I cannot tell you the times I wore my ex's LITERAL HAND PRINT on my body. When a person grabs you as she described, to the point of bruising, it _LOOKS_ like a person GRABBED you! As for the SA...I don't think I need to explain to anyone why you would _immediately_ seek medical HELP if someone F****D you bloody with ANYTHING. There's so much more. Like the things she says she's thinking while he's hitting her. I've NEVER been knocked to the ground and laid there looking at the carpet. I didn't GAF if it was dirty,I didn't GAF if carpet was existent! You get knocked down that hard, you immediately spin around to face your attacker and try to guard more strikes. AH talks as if she is the one person on Earth devoid of human survival instincts. 🫤

The “They WERE believable” line caught my attention while watching the trial for the exact same reason you described here. It was just so odd to respond like that to a “true” account of your story. A fictional story is described as believable/unbelievable. A person describing their own story doesn’t call it “believable” because “truthful” is a much stronger word to describe the event. Not to mention a much more accurate word. Yeah, a true story is believable, but even more so, it’s true.

She has done far more damage to her own case than Johnny's team. I've seen many instances where Johnny's lawyers could have brought up things but didn't, meanwhile she is on the stand and is making it obvious to the world that she's lying.
Up until the point where she went on the stand, I think more people believed her, then she started with the obvious acting, that was the first sign of something not being right. If that wasn't enough, she came with these absolutely outrageous stories about abuse that completely contradicted all of the audio that was played in the court up to that point. If that wasn't enough, she made herself out to be perfect, no flaws whatsoever, again contradicting all the audio up to that point. And if even that wasn't enough, all of her "evidence" were either pictures of Johnny sleeping, or her face with "injuries" that you can't even see, or can easily fake with photoshop or makeup.
Don't even get me started on the patch of "hair" that was on the ground. Where was the blood? Why is it that all that hair was ripped from your scalp, yet there is not a single speck of blood or the look of raw flesh? How is there no blood anywhere on the ground? How is the patch of hair so short, while you have very long hair? How is it that he grabbed you in the center of your head, and just happened to get a handful of the exact hair that is shorter than all the rest of your hair and not pull out a single hair follicle that is as long as the actual hair on your head?
So yeah, I'd say she's destroyed her case far more than Johnny's lawyers, she's taking grown adults for fools, and anyone who believes anything that woman says at this point needs to have a dunce cap sewn onto their head.

    • @MariaThePotterNut
      @MariaThePotterNut Год назад +56

I will say a color correction kit doesn't have the colors you'd need to create bruises. This is from someone who HAS made fake bruises, for costume/special effects makeup. And as someone who has dark circles and red splotches that I use color correction for, I've never personally seen one that comes with a purple tint. I also don't really know when a purple would be helpful. You use green for redness, or sometimes blue depending on the skin tone and severity of the bruise. Pink is good for covering up things like dark circles, the blue tones on your skin. It's to try and balance out the color, so when you put the rest of the makeup on the color is canceled out and covers cleanly with the foundation.
The biggest tell was when she tried to say she would use it OVER her foundation and concealer. That's the exact opposite of what you do. General toners, mosturizures, and then PRIMER (If she has sensitive skin or has makeup she wants to have hold a long time, like covering a bruise all day in hot LA weather, she should know primer is first) (also I personally use a green tinted primer to help cool my skin tone), and then THAT'S when you use the color correction. Otherwise you're just smearing blue and green on top of your foundation. I use pink under my eyes, green on acne scars/flare ups, and any redness, and then blue over it if it's extra stubborn. I then use my concealer right on top of those areas and anywhere else I'd use it, which helps it not mix with foundation and look funky. Then, foundation, buffed out with a beauty blender so it doesn't mess up color correction. Then a concealer that's a shade lighter than mine, on my cheekbones, nose bridge, general t zone, basically where I'll do more highlighter. Then, setting powder, really getting it in there and letting it sit before dusting off excess. And then the rest of my blush/contour/highlight in powders (and brows/eyes/lips), and then setting spray to make sure nothing moves. (and then extra sparkly highlighter if i'm feeling extra, tip; get the brush a little damp with spraying setting spray on it before using it in product, and apply it right after setting spray goes on your face, while it's still wet, it'll make it pop)
The fact that she got the basic order wrong tells me she's never done it before, only maybe looked it up so she could say what order to do it in, but got it mixed up because she's never done it. She does own and use an actual bruise kit though, I'd put money on.

@@MariaThePotterNut Huh, I don't wear makeup so I genuinely thought she was right when she said she put the foundation on first (I mean it's right in the name, you'd think it's what everything else get built on) but your explanation why that isn't the case makes much more sense.

    • @MariaThePotterNut
      @MariaThePotterNut Год назад +14

@@KyleCorbeau I'm glad I could help explain, and yeah in the current makeup product/knowledge/idk world it's a bit misleading. Back in the day, it truly was the base layer, now you can think of it as the final thing that makes the foundation the artsy stuff goes on top of. I'll list it out better, what does what and the order, and something I personally use if you ever wanna experiment and see for yourself how it works (I'm a broke ho so quality at a drugstore/target price is what I go for). Not that you need all of this to test it out, just what I use
-primer; primes your face, makes a smoother surface to lay makeup on, fills pores and/or lines, helps protect you face especially if you wear heavier makeup often, and helps it last longer. You smooth it into the skin, almost like a lotion, shouldn't be visible unless tinted (like the one I use for redness). I use the ELF ones, either the hydrating or the tinted one. www.elfcosmetics.com/tone-adjusting-face-primer---small/83402.html?elf_source=PrimerStory&elf_medium=contentblock&elf_campaign=primer
-color corrector; like mentioned, you use certain colors to counter discoloration on your face. This is the one I use, idk why it's not on elfs website anymore, but it's a cream, you only need a small dot of it, which you blend out just over the problem spots, sorta pat it in. you can build it up if you have worse to fix. www.walmart.com/ip/e-l-f-Corrective-Concealer-Erase-Conceal/675528536
      - concealer; similar to foundation, but slightly different formula, usually thicker, almost always in a smaller tube like this. you dot it on problem blemishes to add extra coverage, and blend it out slightly farther than the blemishes. Beauty blender to pat it out is helpful, blend with a brush too much and the color correction will smear around. You want the same or as similar as possible shade of concealer for this level than foundation so it blends better. I'm pale af, like freshly fallen snow, so I love Nyx's concealer and foundations, because they have a HUGE shade range, including undertones for the pale range, and they go light enough for me, some brands the lightest shade is still too dark. www.nyxcosmetics.com/cant-stop-wont-stop-contour-concealer/NYX_728.html?dwvar_NYX__728_color=Fair
-foundation; the "base" of your makeup (other than primer) if you have perfect skin. It's the final (ish) layer of the liquids/creams, and basically what people see when they're seeing your skin. Helps keep you from looking oily. Again, love Nyx, it really does last a LONG time (like sweating my ass off in a leather jacket in 112 degree heat at San Diego Comic Con), and there's TWO shade paler than me! www.nyxcosmetics.com/cant-stop-wont-stop-full-coverage-foundation/NYX_636.html?dwvar_NYX__636_color=CSWSF1.5%20-%20Fair
-You can also use a liquid or cream highlight or contour at this stage, especially if you're doing face shaping stuff, it'll look more natural. I only use powder contours, again that pale thing means blending is necessary. Though I will use a shade lighter of the same concealer on the bridge of my nose and cheekbones to highlight.
-setting powder; helps set your wet makeup, keeps it from smudging or running, keeps you from looking oily or greasy, helps keep foundation from cracking. I typically like pressed powders better, feel like there's better control, but loose powder works too. Translucent/white is always the best choice. use a powder brush to pack it in heavily, let sit a while if you have time, and then brush excess off (especially needed for loose powder, pressed powder you can do a lighter layer right off). www.nyxcosmetics.com/face/powder/high-definition-finishing-powder-mini/NYX_507.html
Do the other makeup and then
-setting spray; the last thing you use, over all you powders, to lock and hold everything, keep it from smearing or cracking, help give you a matte (not shiny) or dewy (shiney, like fresh clean skin but can also look oily depending on you skin type) look. If I could always afford it, Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray is IT, but also I typically I use either the Nyx one (works great still, and 10 bucks vs 25) or the ELF one (works well still). www.nyxcosmetics.com/makeup-setting-spray-matte/NYX_094.html
      Various other products I use-
Mascara- maybelline, either lash stiletto or full blast, depends on whats going on, I like the applicators for both, always "blackest black" (like my soul) and waterproof, though the normal pink tube works too
Eyeliner- I love a dramatic wing and I'm shit and liquid liner and don't love the basic pencil like ones, so the kind that work like almost markers work well for me. Nyx Epic Ink liner is hands down favorite, love it forever, waterproof version almost lasted through Endgame and does last in the a pool if you don't rub at it. www.nyxcosmetics.com/eye/eyeliner/epic-ink-liner/NYX_409.html The gel stick from maybelline also works well.
Eyeshadow- all kinds, I've been living for color pop when I can afford it, but my collection of stuff is a lot of maybelline palettes, some revlon mini palettes, and the Almay trios.
      Favorite basic contour/highlight palette www.elfcosmetics.com/contour-palette/300046.html?dwvar_300046_color=Light%2FMedium&cgid=
favorite blush is an elf palette they don't sell anymore and I cry
Brows- before they stopped selling the redder shade I used to always use this- www.maybelline.com/eye-makeup/eyebrow-makeup/eyestudio-brow-drama-pro-palette-eyebrow-filler (and still use the blonde version for cosplay), pomade to shape and set, powder to fill, and a highlight all in one, but since they don't I use the Nyx pomade and technically a color from an eyeshadow palette that matches my hair perfectly to fill. www.nyxcosmetics.com/tame-and-frame-brow-pomade/NYX_173.html?dwvar_NYX__173_color=Chocolate
probably my favorite highlighter for when I'm feeling extra though I go through a few www.nyxcosmetics.com/face/highlighter/born-to-glow-highlighter-singles/NYX_606.html wet a fan brush with setting spray, and right after setting your face go in on cheekbones and like above your eyebrow and you'll sparkle I love it
also, just in general, ELF brushes are like a dollar each, couple bucks for different brushes, and they work great, you don't need the 30$ brushes

@Norman Graham I most definitely agree. It is hard enough to get justice as it is. People don't tend to go through life thinking about what documentation or proof (photographic, written. Verbal, etc) they might need years later to demonstrate within the framework of reasonable doubt that they are innocent or that someone else, especially someone we love and care (about in spite of their faults or one's own) is guilty of some crime or pattern of crimes. A person might endure years of the more 'mild' forms of abuses before something triggers escalating incidences. Equally, when slowly boiled (like the proverbial frog) people tend to match those behaviors in an escalating manor or response. So even a mild mannered person might start off walking away then get fed up and start yelling back, etc. Their behaviors are likely less extreme but still will have changed over time to be more aggressively responsive as they try and discard different methods of trying to cope/deal with their abuser's behaviors and actions.

She wanted all the sympathy and people to feel some kind of way about the alleged abuse and so that she may get roles otherwise she would not get.
She took it too far and did everything possible to destroy this man thinking that he will never ever bring this to court and ask for it to be televised.
Her lawyer even fed the flames.
as long as it was he said she said Johnny was always going to be the villain.

@@bolee3339 I think you're completely right. I think she tried to sell a lie and he called her on it. Now she's doubled down on that lie and its massively backfiring. That's pretty much what the recording says when she says "Who'll believe you?". He's called her bluff. The tragedy of this whole thing is is that it's set back women's rights and it makes it harder for real victims to come forward. I guess the only positive is that is makes it easier for male victims of domestic abuse to stand up.
My ex did something similar with me and told slanderous lies about me to everyone we knew to gain sympathy even though it was her that cheated on me and took everything I owned! She even tried to convince my own parents (who I'm very close to) that I was abusive! She also can't retreat from her lie because it would ruin her reputation.

it's common for any person who has been maltreated and has said "enough, I'm walking away" to regard themselves as strong and NOT a victim.
writing about her experience as a 'survivor' of domestic abuse is also from a place of strength, reaching out to anyone identifying with her but not yet through it or over it or away from it. acknowledging you were abused is not synonymous with victimhood.

    • @bolee3339
      @bolee3339 2 года назад +8

@@hardworkingwoman3780 actually most people don't talk about the abuse they have received because it's a trigger.
Most people who bring up their abuse without being prompted or triggered have alternative motivates for doing so.
They're trying to gain something by using a sad story.
Admitting to being a victim gives you more power than denying it and most victims can point out all the red flags because those flags trigger bad memories, it's not something they read, head second hand, seen on TV, watched on RUclips.
They lived it, breathe it, seen it, had to hear it day in and day out every day.
So when people like amber tries to lie or tell tall tales we see right through that, we can almost write you the script of what their going to say, how they act, how great they are at misdirection, always the victim but never the victim, never in charge but always in charge, how in is out and out is up and up is wet and by the time they are done you believe it because you live in a gaslight world at that time.
Only after you leave and actually deal with the trauma can you understand what really happened and then you're not always sure.

My mother accompanies women who are victims of domestic violence (more rarely men): she answers the phone and is often one of the first people to know what the person has been through. Then, she does face-to-face interviews, and the person tells her what she has experienced, my mother has to ask sometimes difficult questions to put everything in context. She was faced with people who were victims of physical violence, psychological violence, sexual violence, but also people who were in a relationship of symmetrical domestic violence (each violent towards the other). She accompanied people to court, and so on. She has never seen a victim of domestic violence act like Amber Heard. Never. Not only in the words chosen (“it was scary” instead of “I was scared”) but also in the evidence it provides. I quote my mother "A person who is the victim of domestic violence either has no evidence because they have not been able to take any for various reasons. Often, if the person has been able to gather evidence, there is is a lot, and the evolution over time is: not much evidence at the beginning, a lot at the end. The evidences that Amber Heard brings are weird because they seem random, always unclear. The evidences that my clients bring are always as demonstrative and complete as possible."

I went through it for 8yrs, being beaten, my kids even, almost killed, that was the day that I worked up enough courage to run and when i say run, I literally mean just that. I ran, no shoes, (had removed my heels when I entered my home), that's when it started that last day and long story short, I got out. It took me escaping a entire country to get away from him. He still to this day, 17 years later tries to get me to return. He will make fake Facebook accounts to message me or our children (who are now adults). I block him every time. I've been in counseling for over 12 years. I have extreme PTSD and terrible panic attacks. I can't even talk about any of the things I went through without breaking down and trembling, it was that bad for me. So as I've watched this trial....I can see right through her lies. ( when one is abused) The fear is so real your constantly walking on egg shells constantly anxious and trembling at times , ( careful of your words etc to that person) as anything can set them off but she’s just not shown me anything that rings true and is just acting. You can see in her body language a lot , it’s the
Opposite of what she’s saying eg when she says “he pulled my hair “ she doesn’t motion and grab her hair to be pulled but does a pulling movement ( that would be the point of view of the aggressor?!) say you were telling someone you got run over by a car you would motion how maybe you put your arms out to protect your self as the car hit you ( as you we re-telling and remembering the incident,) you wouldn’t imitate what the driver was doing with his hands on the wheel would you? Also she’s slipped up on he words , just the over the top fake acting with no tears etc and the laughing and sly smiling, smugness and just everything all together, she’s not scared of him at all! She is one of those people that are so sly , cruel , calculating, malicious , nasty, ( and I could again go on of course) people that uses peoples weaknesses also ( his mother abused him) to mentally and physically/ emotionally abuse. It’s awful as this is no joke and offensive to true victims ( and her own victim, Mr depp, it’s disgusting and deeply disturbing!) Anyway sorry for rambling I’m so tired 🥱 lol

„Obviously not this exact one“, I think is a response to Milani calling her out on the internet by showing that the palette didn’t exist back when she claimed she used it. She must have watched videos about the trial even though she isn’t allowed to. And with her „obviously“ she kind of slipped up because it indicates that she knows that everyone else knows that this exact kit wasn’t around during that time.

I found it interesting that she said “obviously it’s not this exact one” when showing the color corrector palette. I’m sure she found out in real time on social media that Milani proved that palette wasn’t in production before 2017. This was a slip of the tongue - a split second where she forgot her audience. It wouldn’t be obvious to any juror that follows the rules of the court. Also, you put on color corrector before foundation or concealer. Putting it on last would put the color(s) on top creating a fake bruise. She accidentally let slip the process of creating bruises.

7:22 Unfortunately during April (I think), the world that was watching this trial had a way to know why this “obviously” wasn’t the exact same palette. So there’s another reason for Ambers “This is not OBVIOUSLY the exact one [color correction kit/palette] I used to carry”.
This testimony is from the 16th of May, after over a week of court break. And most definitely, many of you noticed that the start of this testimony includes a whole lot of correcting her earlier testimonies.
This is because by then, Amber had been called out on social media for things that contradicts some of her stories. And Amber and her team saw this and knew they needed to do damage control.
One thing Amber got called out for was the alleged use of the Milani color correction kit/palette(the one she’s showing the jury). Milani (in April I think) showed the world that this palette wasn’t released until 2017 - after Amber and Johnnys divorce.
That’s because Elaine in her opening statement, pulled out that palette in front of the jury, held it up and said “This is what Amber carried in her purse during her entire relationship with Johnny Depp. This is what she used”.
She didn’t say “she used this type of make up”, no - THIS IS WHAT SHE USED!
The problem is that when Amber then later says “OBVIOUSLY not this exact one”, it messes with the juries head. Because hopefully they took their responsibility and honored the court by not looking at social media. So to them it’s NOT obvious, why would it be? If I sat in that jury, and the lawyer pulls up an actual item, saying “This is what she used”, I would have thought it is that exact one (otherwise the lawyer should have been more clear)!
So the only one this (lie) is obvious to, is Amber and her team! (And the rest of the world except the jury 😂)
They knew they’d been called out, Amber was trapped in a lie and they needed to “clear it up” to save Amber from humiliation.
I guess, Johnnys team also saw this because look at Camilles smile when Amber explains that “this is OBVIOUSLY not the exact same kit I used”. 😋

I think the one thing that speaks to the genius of Johnny Depp's legal team is that they chose Camille to grill Amber. That completely eliminated any chance of Amber pulling the "I'm a woman, you would'nt understand what it's like to be weak and victimized."
Camille is not only eloquent, blunt and focused, but she's a petite, Hispanic woman with a small feminine voice. That's not to say that Camille has ever been a victim, but based *solely on perception* you couldn't confidently say that there's no way Camille would understand or be able to relate to a victim. So that "Woman=Instant Pity=Obvious Victim=You're just a big bad attorney man bullying me- Trump card is out of Amber's deck.

"The running away was a clue that the monster was back." AH is teaching me levels of gaslighting I did not know existed before this trial. She says something that is directly contradicted by evidence and she doubles down on it. It's astounding.

The thing is, she and jonny both have horrible trauma dynamics, where he is an avoidant and in any case of stres he flees and she just clings to him like a hurt todler, wanting their patent back and that is causing her deep stress and she views that as a Monster "leaving her behind in that feeling of abandoment". I mean the whole realtionship is a classic toxic one

@@greenIMONSTER008 The only thing a male can do is get away from an upsetting situation, any punching of walls, cabinets; etc can be seen as a try on her life, and God forbid she actually gets him worked up to a point he hit her. Another thing is, some people (a lot of females) have a tendency to take control and not let you have any say in an argument (which her own audios shows), making one even more frustrating and useless to have. So you're a male, and can't show hints of violence, keeps having the argument controlled, everytime you try to calm the other person down it just doesn't work, and have a girlfriend who just might punch (or "hit, not punch") you when you get in an argument whenever she gets upset, what do you do? Stay there?

That’s why I was so impressed by Dr Curry’s testimony… she listed symptoms and behaviours that she attributed to Amber Heard. Then the evidence matched up to Dr Curry’s review. Ambers witness however was definitely biased against men. She was asked several times and just wouldn’t admit that a man can be a victim of DV if he wasn’t gay. And a women could only be the perpetrator if she was gay. She’s never helped a man who was a victim of a women. Shows bias. I hope the jury saw it. Amber Heard is a classic malignant narcissist. I have a relative exactly like her - just to a lesser degree. No physical violence but all the lies and gaslighting. 😵‍💫

When Amber got defensive about the victim statement, she got really aggressive and angry in her tone. I felt like that indicated or suggested that she views "victims" as weak and pathetic. Correct me if I'm wrong, but her aggression to " I have never, NEVER wanted to be seen as a victim" felt more like the abuser than the victim. She didn't have any sadness or what I would call strength in that statement--more like aggression, hatred, and violent anger...not sad anger, like "I can't believe this happened to me, but I won't let it define me" but more like, "I am not that pathetic and weak and how DARE YOU suggest it." Did anyone else feel that from her statement or am I way off base?

I had that exact same thought. She seemed astounded that someone would make that kind of assertion about her. As if being a victim was beneath her. She was offended by the miscategorization/misclassification.

I felt that she was saying that to make it seem like she doesn't want pity from people, (but really she does). However, she contradicts that statement so much by claiming "he's guilty" and "i survived" on top of other quotes.
I also didn't consider your take of it, but it absolutely makes perfect sense.

As someone who was a victim of domestic abuse from my ex-husband, I can tell you that you do not "obviously" put foundation on first. I always used color corrector first, then concealer, then foundation, and then more concealer. You don't ever put the color corrector on after foundation because the colors are still prevalent, they are meant to cancel out those colors (I used to use a red lipstick when it was really bad and then LA Girl's green and peach color correctors), they don't magically blend into your skin and look natural. Once the colors are cancelled out it's easier to hide the bruises with concealer and foundation, that's the purpose of color corrector. Now, as someone who has also worked in theaters, I know that they always put down concealer and then foundation before layering on a bruise kit because it makes it easier to blend and look realistic.

Dear Elizabeth, it breaks my heart that any woman would have to obligate herself to such measures in order to keep an abusers damage from here family, friends, coworkers, passersby, etc... And there is no concealer for the emotional debris that a victim must carry with them along with the bruises, broken bones, and so on... So happy that you were able to alleviate that part of your life and I pray that times are much more harmonious for you today.

Well as for me...I never left the house..n never had any friends...just sayen...abusers like to play victim n control you in every way n make you feel as shitty about yourself as they do...n pay it forward..by having you believe you deserve it ..and basically thank them for the abuse n say sorry..or...film you after they piss you off...or play victim ..but they don't always hit...n if you hit them once..they will cry...you abused them..n use that publically for all it is worth...but i never found a foundation etc..that would cover that up...

I find it interesting that the thing that’s so difficult for her about this trial is making her prove it. “Don’t make me PROVE this”. “ I’m begging him not To call me a liar, to MAKE me PROVE it”. “ how absurd it would be for him to make me prove it”. What most people would find so difficult is RELIVING it… it’s all just a very strange choice of words
