As far as I know, it doesn’t matter. The red(trailer) and yellow(tractor) brakes don’t have any thing to do with how fast the pressure builds up. I believe some examiners want you to release them, as you would have them released while driving on the road. It could be their way of simulating real world conditions.
some people release yellow brake, and apply red brake. you did the opposite. does it matter
