10:36 is there a reason you turned off the Presence-moving tier of Powered by the Furnace of the Earth? I don't know how exactly this is implemented on the digital app yet, but in the Jagged Earth rules (Page 12) any Innate Power tiers that cost Energy are completely optional, so you should be able to move Presence to the target land without paying Energy for a Power Card.
I laughed out loud when that fear card saved you from the +1 Damage! "I'm so good at this game"... At 3:33, why not push out the explorer, and leave the town to die in counterattack? Defend 2 would be do the job against that town +1, right? Am I missing something?
If you push the town out, the next explore into the land you push into (town only) only adds one explorer, and it will build a city, for a total of one town, explorer and city. However, if you push the explorer out, and then they explore into the same land, you destroy a town, but then if that land explores, you'll have 3 explorers, building 3 towns. So, if you're concerned about town count, you want to ironically not destroy towns, but rather spread them out in the lands that may explore. Town lands are a bit of a problem with escalations, however; this strategy essentially trades blight for towns.
@@nicholasliu5788 Yeah, I get it. But also, +fear for destroying the town. And in this case, we'd not only get close to pocketing the inland, but it was a Stage 1 about to flip, so there was a 0% chance of explorig Mountains again right away. ;) But yeah, I hear you - the France town count should definitely factor into the decision.
volcano is so fun! The eruption animation was so cute 😂

@@LightBearer73 100% the better play
„Gosh, I‘m so good at this games“
Proceeds and makes a suboptimal play.
@@MorBor23 I'm so good at this game, I can make subopt plays and still win!
