Whats so special about the gardens of khadesh?
Seems fun but doesnt seem too different from other missions, and I did get the mandalore reference.
@@Blundabus1337Homeworld 1 really felt like a grand space adventure. Fighting off pirates, meeting ancient civilizations, stumbling on ghost ships. The gardens of Kadesh are another faction that make living in the Homeworld galaxy an interesting place.
I like the level of chill the kadeshi ambassador has in his voice. If you dont join then die, there is no withdrawal from the garden.
They may have said "No one returns..." but every playthrough, I emerge from this nebula in far greater numbers than I entered with. Man, them multiguns in Remastered are wicked stronk.
Not to mention a dozen or so multi-beam frigates you can salvage. Huge firepower boost to an early fleet.
@@Vukela667we enter the nebula as boys, and we come out as men. Simply put. When I lose my multi beams in the later missions I shed a tear.
For some stupid reason this has stuck in my mind since I played the original 20+ years ago 3:17 the way the Kadesh envoy is so serious yet flips his ship and flies off in a flippant manner.
The irony of this mission is that Kadeshi wanted to prevent Kushan from leaving the Garden, so that empire wouldn't learn of their existence and exinct them all but instead they were extincted by Kushan.
The recent homeworld revelations revealed that not all the kadeshi died.
@@comandercarnis Maybe. At the end of the day, they are an irrelevant faction and their religious fervor will not help them prosper in any shape or form. Unless there is a Kiith that focuses exclusive at gardening and is fed up with the Hiigarans and their politics 😂.
That is some top-tier voice acting.
I like the new graphics but I like the crunchiness of the voices and radio chatter in the original more D_D

I remember being so happy when this remaster was announced and preordered it. This is part of why I no longer preorder games as I tried 3 different playthroughs over the first patches and the scripting kept bugging out in ways that would result in missions just not finishing, ships not unlocking for research (!) or otherwise blocking progress.
If not the hardest, then one of the hardest Homeworld 1 missions ever
how did u get 12k resources at the beginning of the mission, i harvest absolutely everything after each mission and i still run on edge of being broke all the time. makes me think i really suck at this game. not to mention im playing it blind and came into this one with super heavy fleet which turns out to be useless against superior fighter units...

(Kushan Ambassador: "We were unaware of the significance of this location. We mean you no conflict. Please allow us time to prepare our engines so that we may withdraw as requested.") "If you will not join... then die. There is no withdrawal from the Garden." - Kadeshi Ambassador to the Kushan before ordering his ships to attack.
The original kadeshi audio was better, they cleaned it too much, the distortion in the original was a lot better.
I like it, combined with the Kadeshi's cadence it's unbelievably alien and off-putting
The spacing and the delivery was so much better and chilling in the original. Agreed.
I guess my memory is bugging out, but when I payed this 20 years ago, it was as hard as f***. Your´s look somewhat much easier...
