Hey 👋🏻 I’m glad that you found it informative, I feel like I could have definitely got more in, especially about where the ventilation is on the Soulo with the two way door and vent in the top. I loved making this one! Thanks 😊 ATB, Sarah
@@SoloSarahBX I've owned the red label version for many years and recently upgraded to the black for that extra reassurance when conditions are worse! Always nice being hunkered down in it!
Hey 👋🏻 thanks for watching…I think it would have taken me a good year to save for one or 3 extra shifts but I stuck lucky with it being my big birthday! It’s definitely an investment piece, do it 😊 💪🏻, ATB, Sarah
Hi Sarah, Just wanna say thanks for sharing your footage. You are a positive inspiration for us women out there. It is so refreshing to have a new female putting her perspective out, whilst staying true to who you are, where it can be rather male dominated. As another female solo wild camper, just being out there and talking to other women about it, I love..... even though I am labelled a 'mad rough camper' LOL. Stay true! Alison
Hey 👋🏻 I can guarantee I will always stay true to who I am, it’s taken me long enough to work out who I am and I’m celebrating that I guess. It did feel a little odd though recording this as it wasn’t a camping trip but again I did this as it was something that I really wanted to do hence not naming it a Tent review video. If I want to buy something I read the description and specifications and do research from various sources. I enjoy review videos to help me make my mind up about stuff so maybe people looking at this may enjoy seeing me chat about how sensual the fabric is and how it smells nice 😂 a slightly different perspective you might say. I am all for women getting out and loving this hobby. I know we are out there, I do get called brave a hell of a lot but that’s only because society has us believing it’s scary ❤it really isn’t, it’s bloody brilliant innit!? Thanks for your support and lovely kind comment, happy camping BW, Sarah
Impressive carrying two tens, I struggle carrying just one but I am an old man... I also have the Helm 1 and very happy with it to be honest, only done one wildcamp in it this year and had to pitch in the dark, in not the best spot but the tend did serve me well. Wow that is some birthday present and you must have been very happy with Soulo as a present - happy wife indeed! You did a very fair and informative video and the Soulo is an amazing tent but for the money and with me being only a fair-weather camper (as well as hiker) the Helm 1 for me is a no brainer. Cheers Alan
I completely agree there Alan, the Helm is all you need in fair weather it’s a cracking tent! I must add that I only carried the tents and nothing else so my pack weight was very light ☺️ the car was also parked in a lay-by 5 mins down the hill 😂 I have got some great locations close to home and feel very much at home on that moorland, spent may hours there running to the top and in every emotion that hits me! Seen me through celebration and grief, Ill health and at my most impressive! 😍 I hope that you manage to get out for a camp next year, until then, you can count in me to come up with ten goods ☺️ 📺, BW, Sarah
I do love the feeling i get when putting a tent up , always find it exciting , you never know what the weather might have install and sometimes i want it to rain and if im lucky to snow . Ive put up a tent on mountains , in caves , on ships and even in a hotel room once just for the crack, i havent camped for a while and your vid has spurred me on 👍
Hallelujah! Ha ha! There’s something us humans really dig about shelters…it’s within us to survive, we just prefer a fabric home 😍 thank you for watching 🙏🏻BW, Sarah
loved the video. also like the admiration of the tents and sport/hobby. it's great to get all the specs on tents but also why a person just loves one over another.
I’m glad that this came across as it was my main aim for the video, not a technical one as there’s plenty of them out there. This was my personal spin on my love for them 🤩 BW, Sarah
Hello Sarah, camping is indeed a leveler. I've been tramping, (hiking) camping for over 50+years, have many tents and other camping equipment, which I have collected over the years. Once that camping bug bites there is no going back. As a bushcraft instructor and guide I get out into the mountains more so than others might. So far this year I've been out 51 times, so I get through quite a bit of gear. I like your passion for getting out and I recognized that straight away, don't let it fade, it will keep you sane. ATB Cheers from the mountains of NZ 😊😊
That’s fantastic! Thank you for your comment and sharing your story with me. This has always been within me which is why I know it will never fade, I’m certainly the most upbeat and happiest when outdoors, I’ve tuned into that, and in turn you have chosen to tune into me, and for that I am grateful…until the next one…BW, Sarah
A great video Sarah. I’ve got the Wild Country Helm Compact 2 as my fair weather tent and the Snugpak Scorpion 2 as my bad/winter weather full protection tent. Both are British made (Derbyshire & Yorkshire). It’s so easy to get carried away thinking you need more tents for different situations/weather conditions but personally I think you have chosen very wisely and have literally all bases covered! Looking forward to more of your adventures. ATVB Sidestickflyer 😎
I initially thought the same as you about the Helm Compact 2 being made in Derbyshire (I bought one for my son) but whilst Terra Nova are indeed a Derbyshire firm it is only the top line expedition tents that are actually made there - the majority of their range is made for them abroad. Still great tents though. 👍🏻
Great that you have a Helm! I am sure it serves you well as it has me. The only reason I’d like another tent is because I live tents 😂I’d also like to carry less weight and if I can drop a KG on the tent I’m a winner. I’m also on a weight loss and fitness mission myself (5kg down) so working and playing hard in all aspects, BW, Sarah
What distance do you run, i liked the marathon having done 6, but I've not been so well since covid, meaning I've put on 4 or 5 stone, but hopefully I'll get back to it soon, watching out door videos like yours really help, as you look so happy in your videos, they convince be to get out and be active again as im struggling with motivation at the moment, so keep making your videos. At the moment, im definitely at the stage of taking the first step having bought a banshee 200 pro and a Rab 900 sleeping bag and all the other bits 😀
Currently up to 5km comfortably but could also 10km. My current challenge is to run every day in January so it’s more about making a habit of it. I’ll be upping distance in feb. Iv earn half marathon distance before but prefer trail running at my own pace. I do find running keeps me motivated but I do have times where I fall off the wagon and can fluctuate with my weight. Hiking and camping are great motivators for me with regards to fitness so it all comes together. I hope you get out soon. Just go you have some awesome kit there 👌🏻BW, Sarah
love it, only just started hiking and camping this year and I went for the helm 1 as it had good reviews so I'm glad to hear you think it's a good one too. Enjoyed the video and I'll watch more of yours, like Peak District videos so you're another for me to add alongside Messner, old Dean read videos and Alex Cripps
That’s a huge compliment thank you, I’m glad that you stopped by. I’m looking forward to my next camp, few shifts getting in the way of adventure, not to mention life appointments etc. I’ll definitely be ready to crack out Hillary for an outing soon! I also have spent mY hrs watching these dudes, honoured to be named alongside them 😊ATB, until next camp, Sarah
Same as mate, I’m novice setting out my first wild camp and in winter with Nevis tent and army arctic bag etc. Mat Trekology Aluf 140. All heavy but I’ll be camping a while to start before hiking. Hope you enjoy your adventures
I really enjoyed that video, thanks. I have the Helm Compact 1 and love it. There is room for me and my two dogs. I also identified with your comment near the end regarding watching RUclips videos to psyche up to go wild camping. I found this really helped me and fired up my courage to do it. It’s great! 😊 Looking forward to watching more from you.
Hey James 👋🏻 yes currently on night shift pattern so unable to camp, the weather was beautiful and I needed to get some fresh air so off I went and completely indulged in tent and RUclips stuff, actually really enjoyed it, better than moping about waiting to go to work! BW, Sarah
I’m a new sub Sarah. RUclips put your channel infront of me. You’ve a very calming accent 😂. I do love all my gear but the soulo is my favourite tent too. Happy camping. 👍🏼
Welcome! Thanks for subbing. I have never spent more time listening to my own outside voice when editing this RUclips stuff 😅getting used to it. I even make myself laugh looking back. I’ll be out soon in the favourite child 🤭…when storm Debbie does one, BW, Sarah

Hey 👋🏻 thank you for watching, after I’d made it I didn’t think too much about how informative it would be probably because it wasn’t a technical review so I’m glad that you found it useful 😊BW, Sarah
What a great video! And lovely to see your enthusiasm for both tents as they have a special place for you. With that Soulo you’re set for camping anywhere at anytime eh! Thanks for the mention ☺️ Looking forward to your next adventure.
Hi Gavin 🙌🏻 thanks for watching! I do love the fact that I can indeed go when ever and where ever I want with my Soulo, there’s no other consideration I need to take just wether I have the pull to go, Freedom is one thing, trusting the kit is another…looking forward to next camp and what treasure I’ll find ⛺️✨
Hi Sarah 👋🏻 really pleased that you enjoy them, thank you for taking the time to comment…you know that you can rely on me to keep posting 😊wether it’s good or not is in the eye of the beholder, I only joke that they come across as enjoyable as the outing itself , which is always good for my soul 😅BW, Sarah
Hi Sarah, I hope Paul is watching, this sits nicely on top of his latest vid, and you do link nicely to it. You talk fondly of your first tent and your journey since that time, very well balanced. I think we all have our own personal experiences and look at life thorough our uniquely coloured spectacles. In a way it’s a bit like me asking what is your favourite music track of all time, if I ask in 3 months’ time you may well have changed your mind. You make a very valid point about the Soulo without its inner, or inner in squidged to the back before sleeping. There can also be merit to just outer and footprint with a bivy bag arrangement. I’ve watched so many videos where people have been caught out “it wasn’t supposed to be so windy”. If anyone wants to nod off to sleep knowing they will wake up in the morning with the best chance of their tent having survived it’s the Soulo all the way. I’ve recently watched a vid about all the tips to stretch the capabilities of the Lanshan 2 almost to 4 seasons. In summary love it, nicely balanced review. Cheers Graham
Hi Graham…if anyone wants to nod off and have a peaceful night they maybe should sleep in a bed at home 😂that’s my mantra! I’m glad that you enjoyed the balance in my video, rather a celebration of the balance I have found in my life and equally my admiration for such balance. Speaking of which, I’ve just come off nights and must rest but I am enjoying working my way through these comments and replying. It feels like a tile quality way to spend some downtime as I reminisce over this weeks shifts and how many babies I have welcomes into this wonderful world 🌎. See you on the next outing, as always, thank you for taking the time to comment! BW, Sarah
I’m glad to hear it! The Helm is an amazing tent and honestly if I didn’t have a tent fascination it would be the only one I owned, was a fantastic upgrade from The OEX Hyena when it comes to build quality and strength 😊BW, Sarah
I have the MSR Hubba ive only used it 3 times when i cycle toured. It has a nice space inside for my bike along side my living quarters its a bit like a house with a garage lol. Watching your videos has woke me up to the love of camping i once had and this is the year i return to it but gonna wait while April im not as tough as you
That’s fantastic! I’m really pleased that just watching one of my videos may have ignited an old flame for your tent and the love of camping. I hope you enjoy preparing for your first camps in this coming spring ⛺️✨⛺️ATB, Sarah
Nice video Sarah i enjoyed that so thanks :) I bet you have a picture of both your tents on your mantle piece :))) Never underestimate Kinder Scout or The Dark Peak area weather conditions because i did my Hiking , Climbing and Camping apprenticeship there and have since visited 58 different countries including living in Germany for 9 years , Andorra for 9 years and Slovenia . I have experienced Norwegian winters and the Canadian Rockies as well as the Alps and the Pyrenees and still hold the utmost respect for what mother nature can throw at you in the Dark Peak where in a word it can be "Savage". I bought my first Soulo in 2010/11 and sold it in 2021 on eBay i got £100 quid more than i originally paid for it and after a fair bit of use it pretty much looked the same apart from some UV bleaching which wasn't that noticeable . The chances of getting UV bleaching in this country would be a bonus for me :). I actually purchased my second Soulo the same week i sold my last one only because i had been watching videos and seeing how popular they had become and i am confident that its money well spent because there is nothing else out there in terms of pure quality and in my opinion they deserve to be expensive and if anyone wants one they should go and work a few more shifts and save up for one. The best things in life aren't always free ! Saying that for most of the year ( WIND SPEED DEPENDANT ) The Lightwave Sigma S15 works much better in Claggy Peak District conditions because in my honest opinion they handle condensation better than any other tent i have owned and that includes 4 different Hillebergs, both Durston X mids, MLD Duomid, 2 Salewa , 2 Hex Peaks, Pre Tent Soloist, Helm 2, Terra Nova Voyager, Alpkit Polestar, Various Vango's and others that i have forgotten the names of. The Sigma S15 is a decent size 1 person tent too and its never going to stand up to anything a Soulo can cope with but it does an excellent job upto 35mph winds and gusts but i wouldn't want to push it past that.
What an awesome comment, thanks! I may have to print some of My favourite tent PICS for my mantle piece 😊 thank you for watching and taking time to share your experiences with me, ATB, Sarah
You're welcome Sarah but unless you are into Abstract Art Forms you might want to edit the words Tent Shits into Tent Pics hahaha i am 100 percent certain you dont do number 2s in your tents :)@@SoloSarahBX
Great video thanks Sarah. I’ve had the Helm C1 for years and really rate it. I kind of call it a ‘3.5 season’ tent as the inner is quite solid (like a 4-season) but the walls don’t go all the way down like you said. It’s such a good mid-range tent. Boiling in summer though! I do have Hilly envy! Maybe one day when I’ve saved up me pennies! Many thanks - Ben
Hi Ben, thanks for watching! I can’t believe how much the Soulo is these days, looking back via RUclips others have shared how their Soulo was much more affordable before they upped their game and everyone went mad for them. Now they are a desired item that one can only justify if they are out in all weathers and seasons, as some have stated in the comments more a reluctance to purchase and ignore the hype. My heart was sold for many reasons, I am rather sentimental about my tents, I am human 😊 and maybe a saddo 🤣 agreed 3.5 season tent with awesome ventilation blowing under the fly isn’t a bad thing at all 🙌🏻BW, Sarah
Ive always given names to things, all my cars have had names etc, but Ive never thought of naming my tents. They just dont seem to be "people" so I dont recognise them as a named thing. Youve got me thinking now Sarah... 🙂
Ha ha that’s awesome 🤩 I hours I just love making the most of everything and it that means naming it I will, be sure to let me know what you decide ha ha! BW, Sarah
You can't really go wrong with the Helm 1. I struggled with mine initially, as my personal admin was in a bit of a state, but after a couple of trips to dial in my routine, I really like it now. I couldn't justify the big bucks for a Soulo, or any other premier brand tent, so I went for the Wild Country Panacea 2. I've had 2 trips in it now and I love it for colder weather camping when you need just a little more room for the extra gear you end up carrying. As you saw in my last video, without the inner pitched it's huge (for 1) inside. Congrats with the success of your channel, carry on being you and you'll grow from strength to strength. ATB.
Hi Andy, thank you very much for that. It’s a real pleasure to see people like yourself enjoying their chosen tent, it never has to be a ‘ premier brand’ tent as you put it, to be the best tent you own. In actual fact I believe that you do have the premier brand tent in the Panacea, loads of room, it’s just like a stronger version of the Helm 2 and it’s what feels right for you. Looking forward to seeing you take more trips out into the colder months to see how it performs, it’s track record is amazing and it’s a fine looking tent. BW, ps what’s for tea next? A PD Sunday roast in you’re travel oven in our nit so secret spot? 😍
@@SoloSarahBX 🤣🤣 I don't know when I'll be back there next as there's so many places I want to go and camp that I haven't been to yet. The next bag of leftovers will be Beef Madras and Rice. There's 2 portions to go at in the freezer and they need eating. So 1 of them will be on my next wild camp.
To great Tents Sarah I have the helm 1 I love it 👌 I also have the Abisko lite 1 I love it too. I would love the Soulo think it’s such a stunning tent. I have tent addiction 🤣🤣 Atb Graham
Sarah thanks for sharing! The Helm is a great tent and of course no need to state the Soulo is what it is a bomb proof shelter! Both will keep you free from the wind and rain in most English environments but the Soulo will deal with all British weather systems if set up right!
Yeah I reckon it’s a tent no longer worthy of a review with its reputation but it’s certainly a tent that is very much appreciated by all who own it! I love everything about Hillary, I could write a sensory review about her 😂 or maybe a poem?
Hiya Sarah, excellent video. really enjoyed it and I learned some things about the Helm that I didn't know. Your really good at explaining things. I could only watch it in low quality as no WiFi yet, still.. just noticed your new video is up but I'll wait for WiFi to catch up with your videos properly.. 😊 👍

Thats a great review and touched on all the same thoughts I have. I have the Helm 2 Compact and the only thing I would change to is a Hilleberg. The things you're looking for.. Allak 2 ?
Hey 👋🏻 thanks for watching! I made this video back in November and have just bought the Durston Xmid 1p Solid version, if you havnt already take a lol at my recent vids about my experience with it the new tent. I’ve got an urge to set ul all of my tents including the OEX Hyena 2 especially as I soon plan to part with that tent as the others fulfil my needs much better. Main thing being strength to weight ratio. I don’t think I could ever let the Helm go, I’ve had too many great camps in it, ones that I did before I made a RUclips channel and the ones that built my confidence solo. It was the first tent I had that helped me feel safe out there ☺️
There’s a trade off between having plenty (!) of ventilation as per the Helm, and much less that the Soulo tent affords the user, and the levels of condensation you’re going to be obliged to deal with; you’ll not remember, but in the last century mams would wrap up their babies nice and warm and pop them in the pram and then put the pram outside, in the fresh air, for the benefit of the fresh air for the baby. If you have a decent sleep system, you’ll not get cold just because of a draught in the tent, but you will substantially reduce the amount of condensation build-up. Being in a damp atmosphere cannot always be avoided, but we can do our best to mitigate the dampness without harming ourselves or somehow reducing our survivability out in the outdoors. Thanks for your video, greetings from Grampian (there’s aye wind here, and often precipitation too!) 🏴🖐🏻
Awesome comment thank you! Interestingly by the 80’s when I was born they stopped doing that with kids 😂 but as a midwife I have researched and read lots into the history or child rearing and completely understood why they put babies in bottom draws and slept them outside or tied to them to go to work… it’s a great comparison. I am going to open up the inner mesh next camp and the top vent fully and see what happens. I may add that the condensation never caused me a problem with sleep and warmth, drying the tent from condensation is always required unless it’s not been too cold and there’s been a good wind…thanks for watching ☺️ATB from Sheffield 🇬🇧 Sarah
@@SoloSarahBX Aye, a good sleeping bag and woolly hat will keep the cold from the wind away, look forward to hearing how you get in with plenty ventilation and hopefully less condensation. Best, from a 60’s bairn whose life has been spent in the hills here.🦌🦌👍🏻🏴
@@freeforester1717 I will be sure to update you! maybe you could solve a mystery better than Google…when I was 19 I went up to the highlands 🏴 and resided on an Army training camp/hostel with a boat shaped like a whale in a loch 🐳….do you know it and where it is? I believe it’s only accessible by boat and on foot 😍
@@SoloSarahBX ooh, not certain about that, if by boat only or on foot it’ll be for sure on the West coast, I was going to suggest Lochailort, but there is a minor road there, might be up around Barrisdale or some of the other sea lochs on the West. Given that you didn’t catch the boat from Kirklees Marina (🤣) I’m guessing youd’ve embarked from a nearby port or harbour, unless the SgtMajor obliged your company to walk or yomp in, which I think may be unlikely. I’ll put my thinking cap on and see where else it might possibly be! There’s a good chance that some of your other adoring fans might know instantly too! A quick search also turned up Dorlin on Loch Moidart, and Achnacarry in the great glen, the latter is more readily accessible though, so a bit unlikely.
@@freeforester1717 loch Nevis! ….found this, it’s Tom McLeans boat….The next chapter will see the survival expert set out for his sixth transatlantic crossing - this time in a home-made whale-shaped boat named Moby. Currently beached on a remote shore of Loch Nevis, accessible only via boat from Mallaig or a seven-mile hike through the hills, the huge vessel is set to enjoy an adventure of its own…and yes we hiked the journey before settling in and getting some serious beer down us. I remember getting royaly told off by my Sargent for being so hungover before venturing out into the mountains that next day 🤣

You know what, me and the Mrs have names for most things in our lives, Dave the Dishwasher, Herbie the car, our Xmas 🎄 every year is called Terry, but I’ve never named the tents. A Nemo dragonfly and Hilleberg Nallo 3 🤔
Well, I see people relish in their responsibility as parents naming their children every shift (as a midwife) maybe I’m reliving that fab moment as a child is named forever in naming my tents 😂 you’d better get to work and register Darren Dragonfly and Nelly Nallo hadn’t you? 🤪 ha ha! Ps Dave Dishwasher, I wish I had a Dave! Ohhh, I have my husband, he loves washing the pots 🤭 thanks for watching! Much appreciated, Sarah
Simple vid but it was very helpful. I've 3 tents but none bombproof. I camp high nearly every time. And the Hb S, has been on my radar for ages. To be honest, trying not to fall for the hype 😂. Keep it up. Looking forward to winter are you?
I can’t wait! I really enjoy the cold of winter, the challenge to stay warm and dry makes it so much more interesting, not to mention the wildlife and scenery 😍I was the same though, tried not to fall for the hype but I must have talked about it loud enough for my husband to hear as the next thing I knew it was on my lap 🤣 BW, Sarah
Currently using Vango Nevis is good for all but worst weather, I’ve not seen one bad review of the Helm.mall well known RUclipsrs tend to agree someone I will be purchasing for winter camps and to own another tent 😁
You've pointed out the exact reason why the helm doesn't get as much condensation as the hilleberg. The helm is a 3 season and the soulo is a 4 season. Honestly for value for money the helm is unbeatable.
Absolutely 💯 it’s the perfect 3 season tent for me 😊 I think it could be easily made into a 4 season tent and lighter with the Sam E fabric as the lazer compact 1 😊 lobe the shape and over all design of it. Thank you for watching and commenting, BW, Sarah
It’s impossible to have a tent that doesn’t suffer a degree of condensation in the UK climate. I can ventilate both of these tents well enough to achieve minimal condensation and I havnt yet tested the Helm 1 I’m frost but I have seen many videos on RUclips with the Helm carried through all seasons and the condensation is just the same as Soulo unfortunately. The main thing is that the inner protects me from any moisture on the inside of the fly which nigh tents do amazingly well. I would argue that I am 1 season because I need a layering system to keep me warm 😊 thank you for watching 🙏🏻 BW, Sarah
Hiya 👋🏻 you don’t need the footprint but it’s a very useful and worthwhile addition from my personal experience. I took my Helm one up into the moorland in wet conditions last week and the inner bath tub floor did get quite wet. Although it didn’t leak through it may have made me cold and damp overnight. You certainly don’t need one though if you want tk cut down on weight. Happy Birthday for Thursday! Fantastic present! 🎁 ATB, Sarah
@@SoloSarahBX thanks Sarah for your reply, it’s a great upgrade for me as I’ve been using a vango soul 200 that I got when I first started wild camping in 2016, it cost £40 and has fibreglass poles which broke and there was no room to sit up in it and I have back problems, most of the time I go when the weather is good and pitch on soft grass
I can see why the Hilleberge gets condensation. From what you showed us, there isn't a lot of ventilation compared to the Helm. Having said this my choise would be the Hilleberge.
Hey 👋🏻 yes I realised watching it back that I didn’t talk about the ventilation for the Soulo. It has the large top opening door with inbuilt vent which I leave open all night. It’s protected by the ‘hat’ that is pulled over the top of the dome. Makes. A wolf of difference and feels comfortable inside 😊, long live Hillary! BW, Sarah
Thank you! Yes I was pretty much the same, I e upgraded my stuff as and when the spare cash dictated which sometimes involves feeding my kids smash for tea 😂Jokes …..
Great video Sarah, i dont think it was a comparison video more just a look at 2 different tents, i really dont see the point of those comparison vids when the tents are quite clearly miles apart, its like comparing a mini to a bentley, absolutely pointless imho, ok if you were looking at 2 similar priced tents though, anyway just off topic can i ask what mic that is your using ? Cheers Mick 👍
Hi Mick, thanks for your comment, I am very much in agreement hence my apples and oranges reference followed by giggles.
Come on guys, show Sarah some support and hit that subscribe button!
Appreciate that 😍 thanks @mrjigs3761 🙌🏻
It’s great! 😊
Looking forward to watching more from you.
Thanks so much Cathy ☺️ I should definitely take the helm out for a spin soon, such an easy tent to pitch and a great strong spacious design!
Great video Sarah, thanks again.
Hey Paul 👌🏻 thank you for your ongoing viewings 🤩 much appreciated, BW, Sarah
Great to see another video from you so soon 👍
Hey James 👋🏻 yes currently on night shift pattern so unable to camp, the weather was beautiful and I needed to get some fresh air so off I went and completely indulged in tent and RUclips stuff, actually really enjoyed it, better than moping about waiting to go to work! BW, Sarah
I’m a new sub Sarah. RUclips put your channel infront of me. You’ve a very calming accent 😂. I do love all my gear but the soulo is my favourite tent too. Happy camping. 👍🏼

Great video Sarah and two great tents to compare. Very informative 😊
Hi Sarah thoroughly enjoying your videos and found this one so interesting and informative. You’re awesome! Xxx
Hi Sarah,
I hope Paul is watching, this sits nicely on top of his latest vid, and you do link nicely to it.
Cheers
Graham
BW, Sarah
I love my Wild country helm 2...it's all you need.
I’m glad to hear it! The Helm is an amazing tent and honestly if I didn’t have a tent fascination it would be the only one I owned, was a fantastic upgrade from
The OEX Hyena when it comes to build quality and strength 😊BW, Sarah
I may have to print some of
My favourite tent PICS for my mantle piece 😊 thank you for watching and taking time to share your experiences with me, ATB, Sarah

Really good 👍
Thanks John, appreciate that, BW, Sarah
Ive always given names to things, all my cars have had names etc, but Ive never thought of naming my tents. They just dont seem to be "people" so I dont recognise them as a named thing. Youve got me thinking now Sarah... 🙂
Ha ha that’s awesome 🤩 I hours I just love making the most of everything and it that means naming it I will, be sure to let me know what you decide ha ha! BW, Sarah
Hi Sarah just found your channel and subbed great video and very helpful 👍
Thanks for subbing! Until next time 😊, BW, Sarah

Currently using Vango Nevis is good for all but worst weather, I’ve not seen one bad review of the Helm.mall well known RUclipsrs tend to agree someone I will be purchasing for winter camps and to own another tent 😁
Helm 1 is a brilliant tent! ⛺️
I'd like the one with the least condensation. and any tent is four season, people on the other hand are more or less two season.
Great video, I’m getting the Helm 2 for my 50th birthday on Thursday, do I need to get the footprint or could I get away without using it
Hiya 👋🏻 you don’t need the footprint but it’s a very useful and worthwhile addition from my personal experience.

I can get the Panacea for only £10 more, what do you think?, I like the way the fly attaches to the clips, rather than sliding the poles through
I can see why the Hilleberge gets condensation.
This was filmed just up from the road off the path…the one that winds up to Totley Trig Point on Brown Edge. It’s basically a cow field and next to a power/gas plant just up from Big Bar Brook disused reservoir. Can see ‘our’ campsite on Houndkirk from the top cairn, which is slightly lower down from the main Trig on Totley Moor…ATB, Sarah
@@SoloSarahBX Thanks Sarah, it looks like a nice flat spot... Great for a review... Or maybe camp?
Reviews are good for giving your channel a boost and have a rest from camping... It takes it out of me sometimes... Cheers for yot tip 👍😊
@@twiggyescapes definitely for a review but I won’t camp there as the access land is farmed with massive highland type cows and sheep 🐑 seen the farmer quite a bit. I’d go up to the trig and camp but the cattle roam free and I know their favourite hangouts 😅 yeah it’s nice to mix it up a bit and just record what I’m up to like the camp recce, walk today 😊
@@SoloSarahBX I'm in the Soulo.. Giving it a run for it's money... Its Awesome in this storm 🏕️👍
@@twiggyescapes I just knew you would be 😎 I’ve no need to wish you a safe night, you’ll be hunkered down nice and snug in that hill in your Soulo bunker 🙌🏻enjoy!
