Throw these guys uniforms , coaching, advertising and a bunch of equipment. I’m sure everyone in this lawn care community can all chip in to help make it happen 📈🌱💪👍
Even retired equipment would be a good start I know numerous companies that use them then just store them once the hours are up freshen one up with with spindles and belts
Mike! This is BIG! The fact that you made time for these guys means alot. I watch you all the time and this episode is different. Thank you for being willing to teach all of us and not a select few like most guys... Big shot out to Ace, yall keep grinding and helping out the community...✌🏾💯
The way you talk, the vocabulary you use, the way you carry yourself means sooo much in the face of the public! To get higher end clientele you have to portray yourself in such a manner. The owner AND the employees.
Never had heard your mission statement about helping orphans Mike. Makes me want to support your businesses even more now. This was a great turn around as always. Glad he took action fast!
I love this guys humility and transparency! This is is so cool seeing someone go from a life of crime to business, and seeing this guy change his life and way of thinking to succeed in that is something so few people will take advantage of in this country. This guy is the American dream, success or failure, he took the chance in good faith and that speaks volumes. Best wishes to this guy and his business
Mad respect to those guys. Can see how genuinely excited they are to be doing good for themselves and those around them. Will be great to see what they can do with the knowledge you'll empower them with Mike.
I love this! I own and operate Nitro Lawnz I've been to prison TWICE! I never would have thought cutting grass could be so lucrative. My hat goes off to this gentleman and his transformation. I hope to grow enough to help ex-cons also who like me needed to change for the better. Mike thanks for sharing this it helps to keep the fire burning!
Great motivation!!!!! It don’t matter how you lived your life or the mistakes you made in the past. What matters is your “today” & your “Now” what your vision & your mission is for success 💪🏼
Mike your first words of advice was great. Way to bring them down to earth and letting them know whats really important. "What the customer wants." So true and we all can relate by what we spend our time and money on everyday. None of us care about what the business is going through we just want great products and service, if not, we'll take our money elsewhere.
25:44 sounds like my man learned 2 big lessons: 1) make the plan then immediately take action towards executing the plan & 2) beware of analysis paralysis & avoid it by following step 1
this is awsome. outside of the norm that is shown. use the people to run the biz and support the mission. dont have to keep telling people. like mike said most people dont care but each lawn you do helps support that vision and mission. Need more companies like this that want to show that change and reformation can happen. and damn man get those revies mikes gonna give you a websiite free for a year no one does that. Come on man you can do this.
Loved this video. Real advice. Don’t mince words or advice. It’s the same plan regardless of your past or present. Gimme died! You gotta go get it! Much love to A.C.E. Want one of those hoodies though
Talented guy! Really enjoy this content. I find sometimes all anyone needs is a nice boss who's approachable, good workmates and a liveable wage. Having that stability can mean the difference between being depressed or going off the rails or having a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Gardening is incredibly satisfying. Love it
Website, google review, and web/social media presence is key. I'm in my first 6 months of business, and already have more business than I can handle. Basic website, a few google reviews, nothing fancy at all...
Hey!!! Went down for a 10yr bid and once I got out decided to start a landscaping business from nothing. Literally sleeping in the street my first day out. I'm now in my 8th year of business and grown every year. Big shout out to ya'll!!! Solana Landscapes- Northern Virginia
I think it's great that he wants to help ex-felons that actually are looking to change thier lives, yet I would still be careful because uf anything happens it falls on the company. Would always have someone u trust with them to teach them and guide them. Working hard for that $ helps make that young man value $ and how they got it. He should hire some young kids in the summer months for the extra help but also like he said teach them another way of living and responsibility. It's great what he is doing and I hope the succeed ❤
I've been doing my own lawn care business for about 6 months and I enjoy what I do. But as a solo it's starting to wear on me. It's lonely out there lol
That's OK! Make sure you're getting sleep. We are all human and wear over time. Keep track of what you're eating. Learn to say no if you are at your personal capacity. If you are at your personal capacity, just raise your prices. This will do two things for you. It will make the penny pinchers drop your service (more capacity unlocked!) You will have clients keep you on board because you have proven you are a high-quality service provider. Guess what? Now you are doing less work for the same amount of revenue! You just have to believe you provide that high-quality service and are worth the extra money. (You are)
@@short0811 thanks man. I've been taking care of myself properly. Maybe not the rest part as much as I should. I have raised prices. I was apprehensive to do it so early into the business but I did and only lost two people. I've been turning down work because they don't want to pay me what I'm worth. I know some would say raise prices again but I'm already charging more than most operators in my area.
I have a lawn care business in Indy too and it’s dead in the winter. I have to get a job and do side jobs here and there but there’s not enough lawn care work alone
Cuz it's wi ter time man. Nobody needs Lawndale when it's covered in snow. Andy said it in the video. Substitute it with snow plowing or Christmas ligbts
Don't let the color of your skin hold you back. Plenty of brothas in this country getting after it making a killing. There's alot to go around my friend
Hey follow this page for more videos on ace project and our journey teaching youth and ex felons about lawn care from scratch. Appreciate all your support and motivation 💪🏾💯💯
Hey Mike, I was wondering if you have heard of the book Profit First by Mike Michalowicz? If yes, what are your thoughts on it? If no, could you read it and let us know what your thoughts are?
I love your turnaround videos Mike but this one felt a little "off". I felt it lacked substance compared to so many of your other videos. I appreciate Montez and what he's trying to do but there was 14 minutes of him basically repeating himself and the second half basically boiled down to you telling him he needs to get more reviews, create a website, get more revenue, and focus on markerting his business rather than his mission. To me, this video wasn't as entertaining, edifying, or educational as a lot of your other turnaround videos. God bless you and Montez though, I pray blessing for each of you in continued support and provision from God.

Awesome to see a fellow black man from the streets taking advantage of the growth potential in Lawn care 😀

I'm glad you made time for those guys. Hope you can help them out. They seem like their heart is in the right place.

Great comment, it's very easy to fall in to number two.

Montez is genuine guy, that truly wants the best for people. We need more people like him! Keep grinding Born 2 Win team! 💪 Phenomenal video!

I forgot to ask customers to leave a review, thanks for the reminder.

But why does that ford have a Ram logo on it though?
Awesome turnaround!!
You Rock Mike!! I wish all the success to ACE and B2W! The World needs more of this. Much Love & Respect from Canada! Cheers

Hey Mike, I was wondering if you have heard of the book Profit First by Mike Michalowicz?
If yes, what are your thoughts on it?
If no, could you read it and let us know what your thoughts are?
Putting up a ridiculous disclaimer is petty backstopping.
You have said it in older videos
💯
