Olli, lift the station above the other coaster (it's currently under it). It should reduce the amount of time on the lift hill (might lower the fear?) and should up the average speed. It will also give you a smoother run into the station, which might help with the fear as well?

Hey Ollie, I have an idea. Since the climb up the first coaster drop is too scary, what if instead of having the chain lift go up so high, you were to have the first drop go underground so you could still get the drop to 100m but reduce the fear? Just a thought?

@@GamingEwees not if you have enough momentum from going underground to get back to the ground - which you'd be able to gain considerable height back towards the ground from the speed of the drop, so if a chain-lift was required, it would only be small.

Adding near misses (like a tunnel or something) in spots that have low excitement will increase them

I know this is late but I’ve started to build some roller coasters in my park, and I think a good thing to keep in consideration is that you can always use the undo button. If I ever feel I should add or change something, I can see if it works rating wise, and if I doesn’t, I just undo and change it again.

I spent hours trying to get this achievement done too. Every time i would get excitement up, fear would increase and then i would get just fear down and excitement would drop heaps. Good luck!

What about raising the platform up alot so the chain lift isn't so long and you still get that speed

You can play with the terrain, make the coaster go through some caves / tunnels, add some light inside the tunnels and also put some water effects near the coaster ... it would increase the ratings !
can you at least open this in the park? it's so amazing, you shouldn't let it go to waste!

Make all of your hills big floaty airtime hills. Have like 0 to -1.5 vertical g’s for as long as possible. Air time tends to give higher excitement than anything else.
Also I commemorate you for sticking to the challenge with this weird coaster type.
Hey olli love your content man! Enjoying seeing you think differently about this too! Did you know you can up the excitement quite a bit by adding scenery! Free excitement!! Also close passes with other bits of track add to fear so be careful! Keep it up!x

If I can drop random unrequested suggestions:
Maybe try adding some headchopper moments (pieces of scenery above the track). If I remember well, they add some excitement (there was a RUclips video where it was scientifically explored).
Try lifting up ALL the station, so that the chainlift needed to get to that height is now reduced. Also, this will lead to a higher last part of the track, maybe less need for brake sections. Also during the last part of the track the excitement levels are usually not that high, so reducing it is probably not affecting the overall score.
Lots of airtime hills could improve the excitement. Consider adding some especially where you see the excitement is too low or in the last part of the track. No need for high speed, or the nausea will raise, but just a few more moments of airtime.

Personally I wouldn’t build the first chain lift so high. To get the 1000m drop or whatever it was I would build up the momentum from the rollercoaster and do it later in the ride.

Hey Ollie, if you make shorter increments in the first chain lift on the way up then have it do a small drop, you can increase excitement.

4 years late, but you could’ve tried something like the Smiler. With a lot of inversions, but unlike the smiler, make it tall, launched, and even airtime hills

You did a increadeble work on those videos . Pearheaps the case is the high of this coaster and the long time is gets to get on the top. Maybe if you keep it less high and compensate it working underground you might keep de balance betwen speed and entertainment, using gravity instead breaks.
You can make it work! What would happen if you drop some of the peaks in the straight sections of the ride to increase the avg speed and widen the exits to those turns that go into dips so the riders aren't dropping sideways?
What about making a barrel roll in a section but the " cart or train " would be like stationary. Also if it is a free swinging train, try a section of curves left and right and get the carts to swing a bit.
give me 30 mins and I promise I can get you 8 excitement, under 5 fear. after the second drop, there is too much "calm track." At 14:32 add a bigger drop, have it come back up, around that left turn and then a bigger drop at 14:38 and then back up that hill (you might have to extend it out a bit more to make room for more track). Even around 4:42 you can have the coaster go underneath the existing track and back up. Now, after changing this, the fear may be too high so all you do is make the second drop a bit higher and smoother (this goes for any airtime thats too fast.) avoid brakes unless you have to will get you the rating you want. :)
Chris A yeah, this should be relatively easy. Anyone saying it can’t be done just doesn’t have enough Coaster building experience in Planet Coaster. I doubt Olli will let us have a crack at his Coaster because just uploading someone else’s fix would probably seem lame.

Maybe try and do a drop through the ground so you don't have to go as high so it reduce fear going up and might help the speed too
Use the golden chest technique where you spam golden chests but hide them and the excitement will go up

i completed this challenge the other day. it was very challenging indeed.
Add scenery and some tunnels to up the excitement
keep the coaster with the barrel roll mid-way through and build a diff one for objective
Maybe you can make a launch coaster with a top hat ( if you dont know what i mean look at the pov of top thrill dragster) you can use the racecar coaster for this these coaster are normaly really tall and fast

What would happen if you split the climb in to a series of smaller climbs broken up with some minor drops between them?
Formula for fixing coaster: check heat maps and get positive g's on all valleys to 5, all negative g's below 2, and all lateral g's below 2.

Raise the station height up maybe
Your problem is that you got too much speed coming into a too tight of a section and if you made bigger swoops and have less swifty ups and downs it should work. But if I were you I'd just use a different coaster.

Just keep it as is & open it as a unique coaster. Build something generic that meets the requirements instead.
I guarantee if u tried almost the same layout with a different ride that it’d work
