    The owner of this truck is awesome. He flew into town one night in Tennessee and drove my old 80 series home year and years ago. Hes actually still got it. Fast forward and we both drive pretty much the exact same 60 series. 5.3. Coil swap. Same bumper. The cruiser world is super small. Super awesome to see him in this video!

    So this one is actually an FJ80 chassis with a FJ62 Body and an LS! Cool truck - lots of work in this.

    Seems like a nice balanced setup. The stock LS has enough power without overdriving the chassis. Lots of work, but still looks fairly stock. The kind of mods I like.

    Great episode, digging into the new LC250 for a daily and learning more about the older models. The LS swap is interesting to hear about after seeing all the uber high end Corsetti Cruiser posts in my feeds.

    Exactly why V8s should be here to stay. Easy power, no need to turbocharge, more reliability. Kudos to Range rover for not only keeping a V8 but also, its a hybrid!!! V8s can be hybrids too! Saw that on another channel but modern technology allows us to keep V8s, and thats what we want.

    Bump-It Offroad! I’ve got a set of his step sliders on my LX450. Wasn’t his name Mike? Nice build! Planning out a LT repower for mine now. After 12 years and 125k miles, I’ve had enough of 4 cylinder power, with V8 thirst!

  • @robcreel4257

    These are great vehicles. The 6cyl is a decent engine but if you want to haul anything you need to put a V8 in it. I'm sure it would help with wheeling as well.

    @damilolaakanni Месяц назад +3

    If you take care of that engine, it will never die. 90's LS V8s are among the most reliable engines on the planet. That's a major reason why everyone wants to LS swap their cars.

    • @xwarped83
      @xwarped83 Месяц назад +3

      The major reason, at least in the US, is because they are cheap and plenty of parts for it. Go to other parts of the world and a 3UZ makes more sense.

    • @BC08
      @BC08 Месяц назад +1

      Everyone wants to LS swap because they are relatively narrow and ubiquitous so others have already done the homework for the swap.
      LS reliability is OK pre-2007 and utterly atrocious after. LS3 was the last decent LS/LT

    • @Turshin
      @Turshin Месяц назад +4

      No it won't. It will let it run even longer. More power, more torque, better mpg, no timing belt, parts are everywhere, easy to maintain, and easy to upgrade. Sorry but the LS is the best solution for any vehicle.

    • @damilolaakanni
      @damilolaakanni Месяц назад +3

      @zockheem I think that's because the LS V8 is the most popular V8 engine in North America, unlike the UZ and UR engines from Toyota that are much less common. In countries where the LS isn't available, anyone that wants to swap in a V8 in their cars would go for a Toyota V8 for most of the same reasons someone in the US will swap an LS V8 into their car.
