NALWADI KRISHNARAJA WODEYAR -- KING of MYSORE himself use to play Violin and he was gerat lover of carnatic music -- Mysore was true Ramarajya in 20th Century ( which even Britishers use to say) . RAGA sisters perhaps would have felt presence of Wodeyar spirit in Mysore Sangethotsava.

She is made to sit in that place such that it is convenient for the main artists hear the tanpura sound....same with male tanpura player ....slightly leaning his instrument fwd in the direction of Gayathri Ma'am...
