This illustrates very well how media just repeat other media content. Had all those major news outlets contacted the author of the video, went to the source as they should, this mis-captioning could not have happened. They obviously just quote each others and social media.

This illustrates very well how media just repeat other media content. Had all those major news outlets contacted the author of the video, went to the source as they should, this mis-captioning could not have happened. They obviously just quote each others and social media.
Much of the media is rushed to get a story out quickly nowadays, especially 24-hour publications. As a result, they forego fact-checking and source verification in order to get the news out as soon as possible. If the story is believeable enough to them and newsworthy enough to publish, it's going up without any further scrutiny. Very sad state of affairs for journalism, but it's hard to avoid altogether. Someone will break the story quickly and inaccurately, and they'll get all the clicks and profit.
News media also just quotes officials rather than reporting the actual facts, so they don't have to work so hard, and to keep on good terms with the officials. Its created this culture where what people say is treated as highly consequential, so then we are overly critical and fearful of free speech.

There is another video report made by a teenage young reporter who has created his own channel , showing Israelis make a sort of ' team meeting" , where the ' leader' is very distinguishable giving directives and arming them self with wooden sticks and metallic bars from an in-construction building closed by , before attacking the by-passers in Amsterdam center.
