A lot of people miss the point of the build, especially JDM wannabe teens. This was meant as a daily, the 325, 328, and 330 were all meant to be practical cars. Not tuner machines like the 335. I don’t see how you miss the point of this build when it’s said so many times throughout the video. “jUsT gEt a 335” if he was made out of money and wanted to do repairs often he would. No one in the right mind wants that as a daily lol oh them younglings and their short attention spans. I’m young too but I use logic and critical thinking when buying a car. Hence why I went with a 2011 328i LCI as it’s my only car. It does everything I need, when I finish college I’ll be able to buy an M4. The 328i is perfect for its intended purpose.

I have a 08 328i, I bought it half way through college and it’s been nothing but reliable, and it’s still a fun car to drive, I put on about 45 000 km a year (I’m Canadian) and the car itself has 257 000km on it (roughly 160 000 miles) and I trust it to bring me anywhere, and it still does all the fun reckless things that everyone think only 335 and m cars can do

Mods are pretty easy to find and the majority of non-engine parts from the M3 should bolt up with little to no issues. Not a bad daily for sure. I had a civic before this, and the 328i has been just as reliable so far...though it helps tp get dealer parts at cost and do all your own work, these engines are pretty much maintenance free, just dont go over 7500 for oil service, crazy that bmw expects you to go 15k miles on an oil change smh

ChewbaccaFetus it dosent necessarily get hate, it is regarded as a great car/engine that is quick and fun to drive(and especially reliable). The understandable diss comes from the fact that it is a much harder Platform to get power out of then something like an n52 the animosity usually comes in when people go balls to the walls trying to mod the shit out of the car and don’t when there are other bmw options like the n54 that makes it better for tuning
I own an n52 and this is basically what I’ve noticed and I kinda agree with not trying to mod the shit out of it

I have an e92 m3 and ive always had a 328i as a daily. Aside from oil pan gasket, valve cover, and starter everything is relatively easy to change and maintain.
My current and second 328i that ive owned has 122k on it and i feel as though its the perfect daily. Bmw feel and quality without a giant markup and a looming expensive fix around the corner.

I personally own a 2007 335i e90 n54, Alpine White. I love it but with all the headaches and issues I’ve had to deal with the 8 years of ownership, I’m really debating trading it in for a 328i. It’s NA and sounds so good, no more Limp mode! And I believe a little lighter weight compared to the N54!

    • @garrenfitzgerald5060

Zayed Zaman true but then if he is spending all that money on upgrades to make it like the 335i. Then it’s almost equivalent

mikey personally on my 328i I’m not really trying to make it a 335i lol I’m ok with stock engine I’m mostly doing suspension and weight reduction upgrades. But ya, if you’re trying to do power on a 328i there’s basically no point

How? I have a 328i and it seems impossible for me to gain anything significant without forced induction which I dont want to do

CRZYTYGR I didn’t tune it yet but on the sports display on the idrive it shows 320 hp

If you can get past 300whp on a n52... It will basically have a grenade for a motor.. I'm sceptical of his 260whp. But I'd believe it with all the mods. But getting 300whp out of a n/a straight six? That's a bit much hahah

Nice. Love my 2013 e92. I stayed away from the 335 and M3 due to the repair maintenance on those Beast. Would love to own one but I'm happy with what I got. Mine is a 2013 328i M-Sport red coral leather seating with sports package everything except for the M3 motor. Daily driven. From when warranty was over till now. I've already spent close to 6 grand fixing her ⚰. And imagine repairing an M3⚰⚰⚰. Glad I made this decision 👍. But regardless I love my 2013 Break My Wallet 328i M-Sport.👌👌👌

Crazy how I've had to replace literally every gasket on mine, some more than once, replaced the motor mounts twice, replaced the water pump twice and it only has 90k miles
