He is so articulate and mature for 19 years of age. I could not not speak in full sentences at 19, very impressive.

I'm a classical piano player but I'm very pleased to see musicians who play different instruments being given a platform like this. Thank you for all that you do. Love from Canada.

This long-form chat format allows Tiffany to explore the guest’s thinking in a more leisurely way than if the interview was confined to soundbites. 👍 Kevin seems to have given a lot of thought to the music he plays and its composers, as well as what it means to be a good musician and, indeed, human being. Glad to hear some teachers at Juilliard are placing emphasis on the humanistic and not just performance aspects of their students’ education. To me, much of Kevin’s thinking echoes the Keep Striving motto of Tiffany and Together With Classical. 💪

Yayy another one! As a Classical Pianist and Cellist I derived a lot of value from this. Thank you so much Tiffany!
P.S. this is when I'm only 5 mins in. Already that much Value!

Really looking forward to Kevin Zhu's Sept. 5 recital on Dreamstage Live (especially the Bartok he's selected!) No exaggeration referring to him as a violin virtuoso!

Great to see someone of Kevin’s calibre promote non-mainstream music. He has a great future ahead of him.

I watched Kevin Zhu on the livestream from #musicneversleeps and was captivated. Also I am captivated by this chat. I learned a lot of new things here, it was fascinating. Highly recommended. This is so fat the best chat on this channel.

Love this new channel! Thanks to you, we get to meet musicians that I wouldn’t have otherwise known. I like how you spliced in a clip of Kevin playing Bartok as he was describing it from his perspective. Makes a strong tie between the classical music written long ago and and the young musicians bringing it to life and making it relevant today.

Keep watching he relaxes amd gets into some deep philisophical analyses of different composers. Slow burn. Also he has a great amile although the edit often cuts just when he laughs.

Talking about programming in recitals was very interesting

Another excellent chat! In the future, it may be interesting to talk to booking agents and orchestra administrators about how they influence/pressure performers about their choice of repertoire for engagements. I would like to think that artists are free to choose what they would like to perform, but it doesn’t sound like that is the case. It might be simplistic to blame concert promoters for unduly pressuring artists to stick to “safe” programming - let’s hear their side of the story.

Such a loss to get in to juilliard and then have to be taught over video. His sad look when he talks about the compression of the sound.

I think you should give more time for the guest to speak or make his point. Don't we afraid to allow that pause when the guest is formulating an answer.

I loved most videos on this channel, but this guest is a snoozefest and hard to stay interested in.. even Tiffany seems bored 😑 trying to initiate interesting chatter lol 😂 not all musicians are exciting guests 🤦‍♀️ i cant finish this ...
