Last Solo Recital... 🥺 GRWM Zurich | Tiffany Vlogs #132
Most nice people like doing nice things for nice people. You seem like a nice person. Moral of the story, Be Nice. Gute Reise.
Tiffany is simply being treated the way any human should be!
try being wise and the rest should follow, cheers
I literally pause what I'm doing when a notif from Tiffany pops up. How can you not love her pleasant personality? 🥺
totally agree, she has quite a lot of haters, never understood that...
thank u for having been a blessing to us, and thank these nice people for being a blessing to dear Tiffany ^^
This unexpected resurgence of Covid has really messed up European concert life. I was listening to a great recital by Nelson Goerner for the Chopin Institute. I thought, oh great let me see when he'll be near Berlin. I went to his site, looked at his concert schedule - he has no concerts. This is an established, 50ish pianist and he has no concerts. Hope no one, including our Tiffany here, is taking it personally. It's the story everywhere for everyone.
the fact that i have as many planned concerts as most professionals is a point of pride i have in my own current status as novice musician
Karl O This COVID stuff has ruined everything for me, my motivation has gone down so much from what it used to be to practice because of all of this, I can’t wait till I can perform again but performance or not I am planning on going to conservatory after high school, and I’m a Junior so I have 2 years and I should use them really wisely! I miss being able to perform for audiences and I can’t wait for the time that I can!
Unexpected? Not really.
Wow, Tiffany you rock the piano! You’re a great person and a inspiration for those who are stuck inside with a piano and some boredom!
I just went out and bought Scarlatti 380 and I’m already loving practicing it!
I love her modesty doesnt she realise she's a star ? ? ..thats why theyre showering with gifts /kindness because u deserve it xx
I'm happy to see another video of your journey❤️
Whoa! That Schumann! Goosebumps
You are so sweet! Thank you for your videos! ❣️
Finally a current vlog.
I know I've said it before, but I really enjoyed this performance and liked the program. And for all the kindness and enjoyment you give to so many people, you certainly deserve some kindness in return.
And 19:25 shows me that I should probably apologize to some people. Never realized I stick out that much, the people diagonally behind me probably had some issues seeing you play. Good thing we were there to listen to music and not watch actors performing in a play. 😅
Can sense your disappointment when you said in the vlog about no concerts in 2021. I havent seen this emotion on your face in the past vlogs. Take care Tiffany! But then when u edited the video, there might be some updating news?
To me, traveling at this moment is quite at risk already, you have done your best! And audience can feel your devotion in playing the pieces. Take some rest, then keep striving and opportunities will come~
I think you really deserve what happen to you because u don’t do your stuff just for you , but use your talent to put a lot of happiness and positivity in our mind !! It’s how I feel it. I wish u understand what I said , not so comfortable with English :) to finish : Merci beaucoup pour tout !!!!
always interesting to hear from you 🙂
Wow...Finally an amazing vlog! (I don't mean the others weren't)
You are god gifted Tiffany...you are not following luck rather luck is following you. Actually "grace"
I enjoyed this vlog thoroughly!
A small curiosity: Have you ever played on a Baldwin? Any remark or observations you could share in a reply perhaps :)
Thanks for being such inspiring to me.😍👌🎶
You are a gem
It's nice to play "the rich person" and to have a taste of a relaxed life in 5-star hotels. I prefer a simple, calm life but with the essentials for a decent and dignified life (including art, culture and lots of love). I'm more a "love and a cabin" type of person.
But why shouldn't you deserve this luxurious treatment? Of course you deserve ...! In addition, you are providing to thousands (if not millions) of people unique and beautiful musical moments. And that is also a luxury!
Kisses...
🥺 Dont cry............
Can I ask you if the differently responses and heavyweights of the keys make you change your position, higher or lower sitting on the piano?
Yes
Healthy breakfast u did have 😊👍🏻
What’s the first piano piece that’s being played in the background? I love it.
Scarlatti - Sonata K380
Love you Tiffany :)
A language police warning: Please change "Last" to "Latest". (My initial reaction when seeing it: Shocked and saddened.)
Tiffany! What camera do you use in these vlogs?
also was curious
Don’t ever say you don’t deserve this. You deserve this and much more.
I just saw this comment and then coincidentally i skipped the video to the part when she said it, any ways jokes aside, she really does deserve it❤️ i love her as a pianist, she's one of my inspiration of becoming an concert pianist one day😭
And it makes up for the so many who always get what they don't deserve or appreciate at all. Let's just say it tips the scales a little bit (no pun intended!).
First time seeing your clip. Emotional. Seeing what you think while working on piano is great.
She really does!!
no need to constrain yourself in deserve/do not deserve boxes, be free and embrace the flow of things. at the end of the day, it's just a matter of perspective, point of view and only you decide how things unfold in your mind. namaste
Tiffany, you are so humble , too humble sometimes. You need to let US tell you you are doing great and appreciate the fruit of your labor. You have a gift, a very special gift. And you share it with us all. It's ok to enjoy your moment. Bask in your glory, even if it is fleeting. You've earned it!
Of course there's symbolism to be seen in the fact that the literal fruit in her free hotel room looked too good to be real, yet it WAS real!! She works hard, she puts good energy out there, and she gives her all and sometimes gets great energy back in the form of some luxury, some acclaim, and some free stuff.
Well said!
Hey Tiffany. I went to see this concert and just wanted to share that you really portrayed the emotions you showed us in this video through your music. It was such a surreal moment for me to be able to enjoy your music live. I especially liked the last song you played as a dedication to these tougher moments.
I hope you come back to Switzerland again soon. Be safe 🙏
Thank you for coming ❤️
@UCo_DWPUIFp90ozYxzSE-TcA Please don't be too strict 😅😂 Everyone can learn something new every day 🤗
Im not gonna say it but, :D
So you went to SEE her emotions but did you LISTEN to the song that she perform.
It is not a song...
It is a piece.
"I absolutely did nothing to deserve this." Don't even say stuff like that!!! That is insulting without you meaning it to be unsulting. :D You absolutely deserve it! Enjoy it!
Thank you #WidderHotel for the recue of our heroine.. We will look to book at the Widder when we return to Zurich ..thank you .
!!
Dear, you deserve every bit of this. I look up to you so much as an aspiring pianist, and your talent and your heart are both so, so incredible. I am so happy for you, sending you so much love and hope to hear you live someday. Lots of love from Israel♥️✨🎼
Tiffany, you deserve so much more than you realize. Your music, a gift for sure, but perfected by years of very hard work, brings so much joy to the people around the world...
So please accept the trivial pleasures people will give you in return. It's definitely deserved!
🙏
It's really wonderful to hear about all these great kindnesses you received. Just think of it as an expression of how important music is in our lives if that helps you to accept it more easily. We all know you deserve it for your exceptional generosity in sharing your life with us.
Well said!
You spend your life giving pleasure to others - you deserve everything lovely that is done for you!
A "Tiffany Tuesday"! We haven't had one of those in a long time!! 😊
i‘m so happy my city gave you a beautiful stay! you deserved all of it and more :)
Guten Abend
I was at your recital in the Maag Halle. It was wonderful!
Thank you for your recital and your vlog. You ask how you deserve all the things in Zurich - I ask how we deserve the gift of your wonderful interpretation!
As a piano technician in North Dakota I appreciate your insight into the pianos you perform on. How a pianist deals with touch (regulation) tone(voicing) and the room itself is fascinating to me. All of this aside, as a christian I am most impressed with your modesty and kindness. Keep up the great work Tiffany!
Always a nightmare for a pianist when encountering a different piano with stiffer action than one is used to. Or an action that is too light. Violinist is lucky to bring their own instrument with them.
isn't kinda amusing playing different instrument every time even though it is the same machine and it's called a piano.
You deserve all the kindness, Tiffany! You are special and give and care so much about others. Enjoy all the good that comes your way!💜
It was very interesting to hear your comments about the specific instrument sound and feel. Please make more instrument reviews. Also thanks for showing your hands movements tricks. Your warm up practice with testing different parts was interesting. I am happy to find a new album on Spotify where you appear: "Festival Debuts 2019: Live Recording (Ruhr Piano Festival)". Please record more! Thanks!
Thank you for mentioning the importance of silence in a live concert. I remember one particular moment of silence, and will remember it always. Around 20 years ago I was fortunate enough to attend a Promenade concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London with my teenage son, and Martha Argerich was performing a piano concerto (I don't remember which concerto). At the end, the applause was tremendous, calling the pianist and conductor back to the stage several times. Then, without warning, she sat down again at the piano. The audience of more than 5000 people, went completely silent. You could have heard a pin drop. It was an amazing moment (Prom audiences are amazing!). She then played some Chopin for us, which was the highlight of the concert. But I remember that silence the most...
Unless things change, and they might well, I'll be traveling to Zurich on a photographic assignment by late next year. Because the Widder Hotel was so kind to you, not to mention generous, I'll be making arrangements for lodging (as a paying guest) there during my stay in Zurich. They're the kind of folks that I want to do business with.
Hi Tiffany, after several months following your channel, watching you playing so wonderfully, rehearsing over and over again, and inspiring me to play my new 100% German Piano #SauterCarus, I am drawn to write these lines for you. You really inspired me to play more an in a new sensitive way and thinking about having a relationship to my piano. It`s because how sensitively you play and greet your piano as as your friend. I have never thought about doing this myself. Thank you for letting me /us learn from you. God bless you in return. You are loved abundantly (also without playing and being so good at it, but because of who you are.)
You deserve a lot ! Don't ever say you don't deserve anything
When you said "don't cry" it was almost as if you were talking to me! I started crying as well. It's so beautiful the way you play.
You absolutely deserve it - you have worked very hard to achieve everything coming your way. I love it that you are trying so hard to not come across as a diva - ha. But truth is - you are a professional and do deserve it.
So thrilled to hear about your great experience in Zurich and the amazing generosity of Widder Hotel. I leave just outside Zurich, have follow up your channel for a while and already held Widder in high regards. Let’s get the world around about their generosity. I really enjoy your candidats sharing of your experience and great explanations. Wishing you great opportunities for the rest of 2020 and in 2021.
"FREE" in Zurich...isent that word punishable by death there?
Underrated comment 👌🏽
13:52 "I know this piece..." -- Me: "SCHUMANN PAPILLONS!!!"
13:55 "Schumann Papillons" -- Me: "YES!!!"
If it was not for Tiffany I would never have known about Schumann’s and Scarlatti’s music. Then I realized Scarlatti did 555 sonatas...
Success and support for Tiffany hooray😊😊😊!
I cried. Tiffany, you totally deserved the kindness. And thank you for sharing the precious moments with us. I’m really touched by the generosity of people there. Keep striving❤️
Me too! The gratitude you expressed made me felt and cried for the kindness done on you! Kind poles attract! Keep this up!
I love how you make a tonal connection between the pieces. I always make music playlists for my friends and I connect the pieces exactly the same way, either same key or same end/beginning note. Most of them don't even notice, but it's very fun for me, also when it comes to discovering new pieces. 😊
Thanks for uploading tiffany! I love seeing your videos pop up in my notifs, it makes my day :)
It’s so inspiring to watch your videos! You are so much fun and you play so beautifully!
If you didn’t deserve this, you wouldn’t have been invited!
Please just appreciate all of it!
How many people in the World, play as well as you? You have been toiling over the Piano most of your life!
YOU DO DESERVE ALL THIS!
Tiffany my favorite pianist❤️❤️💗💗
I disagree with your assessment: You do DESERVE ALL OF THIS. You earned it. xD thanx for inspiring the rest of us who are still working on our "deserved" beliefs.
4:56 she look different :) anyway I like watching her talk to us/camera.There is already a good conversation between Tiffany and viewers 😊. Keep striving. You are too kind.
With everything you've gave to this world, you totally deserve all of that and beyond. You've inspired us all to be a better musician or a better person and that is priceless ❤️
Marvelous and so informative-to these old eyes your success is assured-if you can stand navigating the world of music politics. But it still comes down to pleasing audiences, which you do with your fine play and thoughtful musicality. Nice to know such a fine person and artist as you will be playing for us in the post Covid-19 world-something to look forward to during these grey times
yes, that's so true!
Wow! Your layout is so awesomely made, Tiffany! Love the way you used the circle of 5ths and how the transitions so beautifully blended together between the endings and beginnings. Thanks for pointing those out to us! So cool the way you put those pieces together so beautifully. 👍
Love all of your videos!!! ❤
I learn so much new stuff about classical music through your vids that offers so much more to appreciate about Classical Music! For instance, I've heard about the fifths, but never really understood it in terms of how it's used in real life, and now you've shown me a perfect example in your short explanation of how you used 5ths to make such beautiful transitions between the different pieces of music. We are so blessed to have a classical concert pianist share her life with us in a way that allows us to know more about what goes on and what goes into the making of your performances. Your goals and objectives to spread a greater appreciation for classical music throughout the world are tremendously accomplished in this video! Well done! You are awesome beyond words, young lady! Thanks for yet another of your wonderfully presented videos, Tiffany! 👍❤
Oh! BTW! You've already begun repayment of the kindness and generosity of those wonderfully gracious hotel managers because I will be sure to give them my business whenever I travel due to their kind treatment of you during your pandemic travel predicaments. I will recommend them to my traveling business associates and family and friends as well. So, just your mentioning them has already begun repayment for their kindness and generosity to our beloved Tiffany. Thanks for letting us know of them and their kindness to you so we can place them at the top of our list when it comes to our choice of hotels. 👍
I do not deserve to watch such a nice vlog from a talented, intelligent, and charming young musician. YOU deserve this! Circle of Fifths is my favorite concept in music :)
YEAAAAAA!!!!! So glad to see this one.. After watching I really really want to hear the concert!!! I can only imagine how incredible and emotional it must have been! ❤️❤️. Much Love! ❤️
You only deserve the best.
So adorable to see you talking to your fingers, and to piano, and to the concert hall... and to us!! Thank you for shining brightly and enlightening our world!
So sad I missed your concert, since I'm in Zürich every day..! I will especially remember this awesome Vlog!
Wonderful vlog. Don't get discouraged, we'll get past this.
it would be wonderful if you could make a recording of the Schumann Fantasie. The excerpts here were heart-stopping.
I wish I could see you perform today in concert. You play so beautifully. You deserve every good thing, including the gift of the stay at the Widder Hotel. Enjoy it.
Congrats! Hard work and countless hours into your skills and vlogs make me so happy seeing how well you are!
Very interesting and inspiring video. Well done to you. I was in Zürich at that time and if I'd known about you then, I would have come to see you play.
I really love how Tiffany arrange her program!
In my humble opinion you do deserve it. You’ve worked monumentally hard on your passion. You are honest and true. Who deserves it more?
Wow, I love the Schumann Fantasie dearly but it's only now that I realize what a wonderfull way it is to end a concert program, somehow the finale has this kind of late-Beethovenian glow or deepness, I don't know, but it feels like it says the right things to end...
Tiffany, I hope that one day you will be around again in Europe, and especially in The Netherlands. I am really fond to visit one of your concerts.
I discovered your channel a few weeks ago, and you are doing such a good job making classical music more accessible to the public.
You saying you don't deserve all of this, is simply not true. You are giving back to the world, so everything you are getting is what you absolutely deserve. Please keep doing what you do.
You are one of those pianists that will be talked about in years from now.
Your name will be called out next to Argerich, Arrau, Ashkenazy, Horowitz, Lang Lang, Pires, Barenboim, Kissin, Rubinstein, Richter, Gould, etc. etc. You belong in that list of brilliant piano players.
And it's not because people will compare you to them, it's because you're a unique player that brings so much artistry and virtuosity to the music.
I'm a fan for life.
@ 12:40 seconds ... you're not being egotistical , just showing us a FABULOUS dress . ( scuze me while I put my eye's back in thier sockets ) 👀
I'm a self taught piano player going on for about 4 years now. I like watching your videos because they show me that their is so much more for me to learn and grab hold of. I don't have a teacher who can tell me about the way a note sounds or how colorful you can make your playing sound. I'm actually a painter but I like music so I learn a few instruments on my own and piano just sticks to me. I'm in college now and I try to learn everything i can from your videos and it's a different experience for me. I just want to say thanks for teaching me the things I couldn't learn on my own.
Please don't push yourself too hard
And it is funny, how after every of your videos I actually can convince myself to start a new piano piece :D
Yes she is an inspiration for all pianists 🙂
tiffany you definitely deserve all of this, kindness leads to kindness
I can't imagine the pressure you must feel to not only play perfectly, but do so on a piano that has such a different action than you are used to, and with little time to get used to it before a concert! I would crack under that pressure.
So good for you Tiffany! I’m happy that you are keep playing and sharing your art. You deserve it, you have been studying and fighting for your dreams. Greetings ☺️
Hi Tiffany! I've never seen you live before but I absolutely love your playing style and clean touch on the piano! Also your vlogs really give people valuable insight into the life of a travelling pianist. Keep up the great work :)
Nice . Greetings from Finland , Europe .
Heiii!!! 🇫🇮
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 Beautiful music/performances !
I loved this vlog!! Thank you for sharing this incredible and valuable journey with us! ❤️🎶💪
listen kid you for SURE DESERVE IT !! its ok and fine to be modest ,but your self deprecation is INAPPROPRIATE !! these people at steinway and the hotel widder are not STUPID !! you give massive VALUE for their GIFTS !! you must accept that right now you are a WONDERFUL EXPRESSIVE PROFESSIONAL CONCERT PIANIST and bring THOUSANDS OF AUDIENCE MEMBERS COMPLETE JOY WITH YOUR REMARKABLE PLAYING !!will you get better ?? OF COURSE !! YOU ARE NOT NEARLY AS GOOD AS YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN 5 YEARS 10 YEARS 20 YEARS ,,but stop putting yourself down NOW ok ?? ENJOY PEOPLES LOVE OF YOU AND YOUR MUSIC know that they enjoy GIVING TO YOU THEIR TRUE FEELING TOO !! ok ?? --richie beirach jazz pianist recording artist and composer etc
Hi Tiffany, when can we expect your first album with your own compositions?
Love from Hannes, Germany
For once, you did not video yourself under the piano. ;D
Tiffany, you could do more Dreamstage concerts. Like, one per month for the foreseeable future to replace the live concerts you can't do. Just a suggestion. (And a wish.) 😉
Thank you Tiffany for all your kindness!
Maybe consider having a tour of Taiwan since it's COVID free there and there are no restrictions there.
Hey Tiffany, Love your videos and your interpretations of the pieces you play. I have a solo recital coming up, its my first one, i was wondering what you do to prepare for your recitals and calm your nerves and also maybe how your first recital was. Thanks!
That very classical Germanic room in your Zürich hotel had modern design classics from the Swiss/French architect team "Le Corbusier" - "nom de plume" of Charles-Édouard Jeanneret - but really designed by his associate Charlotte Perriand. Code named LC4, the lounge chair and LC2, the 1, 2 or 3 seat armchair/couch. These designs look still modern contemporary but are almost 100 years old.
Ms. Perriand went to great length to design proportions that would suit smaller and larger people comfortably.
If a hotel can afford that in your room, then you have been really lucky I would say.
But that's what you already said.
Wow! Interesting history of the designs used in that room!
The only thing that looks WILDLY out of place in the room is the flat-screen TV. That already caught my attention in her IG story.... fits like "the fist on the eye" IMHO 🙃
Tiffany is pure music magic....one of the few artists I'd pay to hear in-person
Would you please STOP saying that you don't deserve this! YOU DESRVE IT! Any person with credibility will agree that you deserve it!
Dear Tiffany,
They were super nice to you and super generous with you because you are super lovely and super cute and super lovable.
Gorgeous Hotel! I enjoy your humbleness!
You should have good accommodation and expenses for your recital performances ! A recitalist old friend offered to concert perform for me locally years ago, though Gloucester Cathedral was his preferred Venue. I was advised travelling expenses would be required.
