Good job explaining it...I'm a Tennessean and with the Preds doing so well in the playoffs I'm trying to learn the rules of hockey. Now off to learn what icing is.
Brilliant. Thank you. Trying to play NHL 15 on PS4 and I kept getting this penalty. I'm a nerd that doesn't play or watch sports, so this video was really good for me.
i have never played hockey in a league i only know how to play shinny and this is super helpful cause i was wondering so much how to prevent and offside and this was the first video i clicked on and this helped out so much.Thank you!
Thanks, in game one of the 2017 playoffs the announcer said the guys skate cannot be lifted in the air at least that's what I thought he said... until the puck crosses the blue line
Thanx....I have been going to UMass Lowell games but having hard time to understand off-sides.......Well...Im Brazilian,,, hokey is not what we watch and play a lot. But... hokey is very exciting and a nice sport to watch.
Great video! I just 1 question If the team is in the offensive end with the puck And somebody shoots it out of the offensive end But a defender that is outside of the defensive end shoots the puck back into the offensive end (after the puck went out of the defensive end) and none of the players touch it and skate out. Would that situation be a direct offside as soon as the defensemen shoots it back in Or a delayed offside if none of the players touch the puck and skate out?
Isn't there a penalty when let's say the player with the puck crosses the blue line then passes it to someone behind the same blue line then that player crosses the blue line before all the other players turn back around?
This was the simplest explanation, thank you
Perfect explanation. I haven’t understood this for the longest time
thanks man..best and most simplest explanation
Thanks! My kids have tried to explain it to me several different ways, your explanation is the best.
Good job explaining it...I'm a Tennessean and with the Preds doing so well in the playoffs I'm trying to learn the rules of hockey. Now off to learn what icing is.
This video explained the rule very clearly! This is the best and easiest way to understand the offsides violation.

Thank you you help me a lot

so there is no such thing as a fast break slam dunk in hockey.
Nice work, thanks... teach ESL... :)
i think the zebras in tonights game (Detroit @ Chicago) should see this video. Shocking decision to get the hawks back in the game :/
Awesome! You are great, this makes so much sense! I was confused about the rule where everyone has to go back out the blue line now it makes sense :-)
Thank, it's clear.
This is the dumbest penalty
