You are a tremendous teacher, and my Spanish has improved greatly when trying to speak with other native Spanish speakers. I got a slightly different response for the 1st "subject change" (Quiero sacar la basura antes de que mis hijos se vayan a la cama) since it's easier for me to remember now that I'm working to incorporate the verb IRSE into my everyday speech. Gracias de nuevo y tengo ganas de mas videos.

Instead of saying "Me encantaria ir a Havana", I said "Me encanta ir a Havana." I realized my mistake immediately as his eyes lit up in surprise, thinking I've been there lol. BTW I'd appreciate a lesson on the subtle difference between Poner and Meter, as I hear Meter a lot and have zero clue as to proper usage.Tx again.

It's a great book. It can seem overwhelming at first but I recommend just flipping through it and reading the headings. Things will jump out at you and you will clear up a lot of the questions you might have -- or even will have -- about the language.

Would it be possible for you to give a lesson on the use of Haber? It seems to be mainly used in the past tense, but I'm sure there's more to it than that.
I can do something on haber. The usage changes from European to Latin American usage a bit. In the former, it is used to express actions recently occurring in the past, and in Latin America the preterite is used for that. In Latin America, HABER is used more like it would be in English.
This might be easier to understand when imagining the “ñ” like an “ny”: grunyir, grunyido, grunyendo (because of the following vowel) - grunyiendo wouldn’t make much sense phonetically. I love how pragmatical the adaptations are in Spanish writing to match practicability in pronunciation ☺️ there are quite a few examples btw

It does not work well for that type of sentence. That's when you'll just have to fall back on the subject change. I mention the ING thing because many viewers tell me that they have trouble determining a subject change. The ING thing can be a clue that there is not a subject change but it is not a hard and fast rule.

If I'm not mistaken it would be Deberia Haber ido a la playa or Podria Haber ido a la playa. I have also seen this written as debi Haber rather than Deberia Haber. Are both correct? Even native Spanish speakers can mix up when to use “de” vs “de que”, which is why the RAE has whole sections on “deísmo” and “dequeísmo” addressing the issue. (I’m referring to “de” vs “de que” use beyond “antes de” or “antes de que”, which I think is more straightforward.)
Yes, that is a topic of it's own. In my own Spanish, I use "antes de que" and "después que". That is a result of those being the most common in the areas where I have spoken Spanish.
Want a whole second audience? Take the content that you have already made and reverse it. Teach Spanish speakers that want to learn English as well as English speakers that want to learn Spanish. I bet that you would be a hit!

Lesson was clearlty presented, but I became confused when I saw this sentence - "Do it before you go out" translated "Hazlo as antes de que te vayas". If this is correct, the command "do it" implies "you do it", so there in no subject change, yet subjunctive is used. Is there something else going on here, or should the Spanish sentence be "Hazlo antes de irte"?
The sentence should be hazlo antes de irte; however, you will still hear people use the subjunctive instead of the infinitive. The translator DeepL is the most accurate that I have found. You can always plug sentences into it to see what it recommends: www.deepl.com/translator

I would watch your lessons a whole lot more if your lessons were in Spanish as opposed to English. Speaking slowly in Spanish would be much better than listening in English

We do use antes de que without changing the subject sometimes, like quisiera hacer esto antes de que me sea imposible for example

When I follow in order it’s amazing how much I’ve learned
I learned an exception to the participle creation rule this morning. Sometimes the "i" is dropped after "ñ". Example: gruñir -> gruñido but gruñendo.😮

I would watch your lessons a whole lot more if your lessons were in Spanish as opposed to English. Speaking slowly in Spanish would be much better than listening in English
The lessons I have done 100% in Spanish have never done as well. RUclips is full of those folks. Viewers tell me that what sets me apart is my ability to explain Spanish in terms that English speakers can relate to. That's why I give the explanations in English.
