Thanks for the video! I placed an order for this once I watched your video. I was debating on whether I should get the fumoto valve or this one, that piece you need to keep in your jeep is essentially the reason why I am getting this and not the fumoto. My truck is parked on the street and my concern with a fumoto valve is that ANYONE can just go under and with no tools drain my oil. Maybe I am being paranoid but why chance it. Thanks for sharing and again great video!! Aloha and Mahalos!
@@bikeman1x11 its a fucking concern thats all, got it? its something that i feel should be considered at least.. why dont u give a fucking tip or concern?

Thanks, glad to see it worked out. I bought one after your last video and installed it with the last change. Getting ready to do my first one with the new valve. Didn't even think about emptying directly into a container, I like that!!
that was what i was thinking, like its a good product on its own but it really feels like the perfect addon to a oil extractor. no mess no faffing about with a suction tube or changing spil oil pans or filling a tub just sucking out the oil quickly and mess free.
There is another quick drain plug by www.nospillsystems.com and is made in North America. They have a removable dust cap, you screw their drainer hose on. As you tighten the hose it opens an internal value and the oil drains down the hose into the container. Once done, unscrew their drainer, screw the dust cap on and you are done. They do offer compact and Standard size plugs. The compact only sticks out about 1/2".
amc31b well if something goes wrong with that valve oil is coming out, on the Stahlbus at least there is a cap and as the oil in the pan is not pressurized a simple steel cap with a gasket will prevent you from oil loss, no fail safe on the fumoto.

It should be a trivial matter to add a ball valve with appropriate barb fittings into the drain hose, allowing you to shut off the flow for whatever reason might come up.
The stahlbus you just have something to lose . It’s going to happen in time . People don’t but something they might lose only to change oil the hard way why but it only to go back to the hard way ? The other valve fumoto is all there nothing to lose ?
I don’t get the point with Stahl valve you have to ha e everything ready and fumoto you don’t. If you open the valve on fumoto you better have the pan or a bucket ready on the stahl you have the hose attached already so in my mind this is a non issue. Stahl is a safer design because with fumoto there is no fail safe, if the shit hits the fan oil is coming out but on the stahl if something goes wrong with the valve you still have the cap preventing the oil loss.
Waaay too slow. So slow, in fact, you had to edit the video. I prefer the sudden rush of oil leaving the pan. I wanted to see the device removed to see if any more oil came out.
I’ve purchased this drain valve, but don’t trust it. The thread that goed into the oil pan is just 1/2 inch, where the original drain plugs thread is one inch. The drain valve just needs 3 turns before it’s tightened and the original plug 8 turns. In my opinion 3 turns is not enough and I’m afraid the valve will get loose or something
The less threads the better. The original can be long because it is removed to release the oil making the level of the pan the determinant of how much oil you can evacuate. Personally on a lot of the valves I would measure the thickness of the pan and try to match the threads to that length whether that means a washer or time with a bandsaw and sanding belt.
You could disconnect the valve before transferring the tube to the next container.
I've seen some of these valves and this is the first low profile one I would actually use

Looks like your front lower right control arm jam nut is loose
I was gonna post the same thing.
I'll be damned.... Thanks
What if some debris happen to get stuck and keep the ball from completely closing the valve?
where can I find one in Canada
I installed a drag flip kit and noticed a Lot of play on steering wheel any suggestions
After using this for a few years do you think it makes more sense to get an oil extractor?

How did the sample from Blackstone labs a while back turn out? Tried to find a follow-up video on your page but no joy.
Hi CPO. Is there a Stahlbus that fits the JK transmission plug? I did the oil one...worked great. Thank you for that.
Ask them on their Amazon product. They answer all questions there.
You definitely have me “SOLD” on this... What’s the up date have you had any issues or anything?
With the FUMOTO VALVE you won't get any oil on your hands when changing empties,
no need to crimp the hose just turn the valve. No mess no fuss.

Consider cutting your hose shorter, think it would make the switch easier. Thanks for the video.
off topic but what oakley frames are those?
Metal Plate. They are titanium frames. Love them!
o3djeeps [ OVERCLOCK3D Jeeps ] awesome thanks and always enjoy the videos!!!
I miss your videos, I hope all is well
All good thanks. Actually editing a video now. Very busy with 1000 other things... But trying to keep up! 😁
I think I will stick with the Fumoto but I like seeing alternatives like this.
i like your skid plate, what brand is it?
Rock Hard 4x4

While I prefer the look of the Stahlbus; I trust the very simple, very proven, 90 degree, ball valve design of the Fumoto much more.

Then the bulk would be on the "tool" not the vehicle which is much better good idea
That's an excellent add to keep things clean

same as fram sure drain- that extra piece is a nuisance
NICE NO MESS

Rofl. Got me for a second.
What a pain in the Ass. Fumoto or EZ valve is much simpler and half the price
Wish this guy would stop sucking this teeth
I like the EZ,drain.
