I listened to dozens of songs that were released in the early 80s that had this very electric piano on the recordings and particularly the Al Jarreau record from 1983. And being a guitar player I've always been a fan of Jay Graydon and have followed his guitar and production work for years. When I heard he was working with the owner of the "E" Rhodes piano that used to be at Leeds Rentals and was building a plugin for it it was one of the most exciting announcements for me personally. For my ear and for the type of music I want to record this is simply the best Rhodes there is available, anywhere.
Honestly this library leaves me unimpressed while usually OTS stuff just wows me. I mean it is a useful and nice Rhodes EP and you can easily shape the sound but besides the history of the instrument there is really nothing much. Thanks for the review, I always know when there is a new rhodes out, this is the channel to check, lol!
Thanks for watching! Yeah, it sounds good, another EP option for sure. The history is the history, to me it is a nice Rhodes that was in great condition when sampled. And you know I had to check it out hahaha! Thanks!!
@@kb420ps Because they actually bothered restoring the instrument and went to great lengths getting clean samples, which isn't that popular today. But that was the way you recorded Rhodes back in the day, trying to eliminate unwanted noises. Today it's more common to overexaggerate the mechanical noises.

Nice! It is a great sounding instrument for sure.
Nice take on this Bigs !
Very nice Joe🔊
Thanks for watching!
How does this compare to the montage EPs
Both are good, some of the Montage patches have the small imperfections I like.
Has anyone made a comparison with Keyscape and this one?
I'm sure someone out there has done it
@@SoundsAndGear I have been searching for it, no result.
@@HarryLikas Interesting, I would have thought someone would have done so by now

Thanks for watching!
sounds like a casio. does not sound sampled at all. way too linear and over expressed.
Sounds "modeled" more than sampled. It's a little "too" perfect, maybe.
cool, thanks for watching
