just in my opinion, it appears the little flip up plate is the material stop when in the up position, that allows the roller to still support the material after it's cut. Good review and it looks like a decent stand.
*First mitre saw and it really improved my trim work **MyBest.Tools** Hard to believe the price on this tool when My 2nd trim blade was 2/3rds of the cost of this saw.*
I went ahead and purchased the same stand as well. I do like the way it is built. The only negative thing I can say about it, is that the pull out arms are not sturdy, because they only use one arm instead of two. So, there is a lot of droop on the arms when pulled out. However, with all of the other bells and whistles, the positives out score the one negative. I really appreciated your solid review of the stand. You showed me two great ideas in the review. Thanks and keep up the good work!
If you flip the “stops” in the up position. It’s designed so that the board can rest on the roller and be supported with the “stop” stopping it from the outside. Not flipped to the inside. Hope that helps.
Very well made and informative review. One of the better reviews I have ever watched to get information on any product. Clear, precise and to the point. No annoying and distractive background music. You got it right sir and you sold me on this stand ! Thank you.
I am going to buy my husband a miter saw stand. I know nothing about it. Watched your video and it is so helpful. I’m going to purchase it because of your review. I love that it can be folded, leaving more room in the garage. Don’t underestimate your camera skills. Good job!
This video was the deciding factor of my purchase of this stand, and I haven't regretted a second of it...except for the assembly instructions. To say that it's coming in extremely handy now that I'm having to rehuild the floor of a pool deck would be a gross understatement. This and the 10" miter saw is making short work of cutting the lumber to the perfect size and angle while dodging these damn pop-up Florida thunderstorms that happen throughout the day EVERY day. Wheeling it in before the storm starts is a breeze...no pun intended.
I just bought the 12 in miter saw last week and going to get the HF dolly / stand tomorrow. Thanks for your review. You were the deciding factor for me!
I have been holding out on getting this but, now it looks like you just sold me. Nice full review on this product. This is how I like my reviews done. Straight to the point, no bs, and you showed us some tricks that may or may not have been intended as well. HF should throw you a bone, Sir!
Thank you for the video. This very day I was looking at this stand .vs. a rigid brand at home depot. Your review answered all my questions. I am going with the harbor freight and saving about $200!!
Wow, wonderful review. I am setting up a simple woodshop for my reclaimed wood furniture and decor business. I added a miter saw last week and was using it on an old uneven table. Just saw this stand at Harbor Freight ad decided to look up reviews. Thank you. Headed back to get it. Its $125 now, 3 years later, but with the 20% coupon, its still only $100.
Excellent review. I was looking for a miter saw stand for my Milwaukee 2734. I need to look no further. You saved me a lot of time. Thank you for posting.
OMG! Thank you fir this video. I was struggling with keeping it upright w/saw bolted on. Never occurred to me to extend the roller arm!!!!! I LOVE this saw stand!!! 🙏🙏🙏😀
Thanks for the refresher on how to fold up the legs and use the wheels. I have lost the instructions and had not tried to fold it up since assembling it. You’re a great video showed me just what I needed to know. Thanks so much!
yours is the best review and set up..I am the timid builder. Wish I could but back off a project because my confidence is minimal. Watching you go through step by step..I purchased mine at noon yesterday and had my neighbor come over to inspect my setup..he was very impressed that I did it myself. We chopped a few pieces of wood and then folded it up. Your video did that. I've subscribed. Jenga gets done today. Cheers Popo
I'm just getting started with my 1st miter saw. Your review on this stand/dolly is great! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Very well done, to the point review.
Thanks for the demo. Its not the most stable for the 12in Bauer miter saw in storage mode. Their saw is really heavy. When its deployed, its balanced. It works but makes me a little nervous. Good call on dropping the wheel-side legs first. I've seen people do it the opposite way which I'd think the legs will collapse if you're not careful.
THANKS, I've been struggling with my 12" DeWalt CMS for years. Carrying it around, propping up pieces of 2x4 for long pieces, working on the ground sometimes. I'm DONE! I'm going to buy one today. The Ridgid stand is nice, but it is $200. You sold me! Thanks Bud!
I'm sure others have commented, however the "plate" on the rollers are actually stop blocks for repeat cutting like you were showing except there's no need to adjust the height of the support, you just flip the plate all the way over so the board stays on the support roller then hits the stop block plate...
Great detailed and in-depth video on the stand. I was on the fence of dropping the $99 for it, but after your review... I see that I’d be perfect for me and my miter saw. Also. Your not lying about the directions, when it comes to assembly from there. I also really like how you can compact it, so you can save all of that space when not in use. Tired of lifting a heavy and awkward saw. I’m going to get one this am, thanks for the review. I liked and subscribed. 👍🇺🇸
9-10-2022: Appreciate your creating and publishing this informative video. I was just about to purchase the WEN MSA330, which although it also has wheels, is unable to "stand away" for storage. Can't thank you enough ! Also, and for "the record", your camera skills work for me. 9-12-2022 UPDATE: Brought one home today, the setup was "easy-peasy". All components well engineered and manufactured. This is NO light-weight stand. It's a bit "buff", and seems to be quite durable. All worked like a charm - and can easily recommend the product. Harbor Freight is advertising these as a "clearance" item - which was a motivator for me. "If" inventory is gone, the next level up is called the Hercules. Also a beast, with cost being approx $50. higher than the Chicago Electric model. If you're thinking about pulling the trigger on the Chicago Electric model, why isn't NOW the time?
I think you did a fine job with the camera and video. You took your time, gave us great info on the stand. Nobody should have a problem with this video and if they do,then consider the source!! as the saying goes, lol I've watched a few of your videos and believe me more people need to be honest, sincere about their opinions as you are. Thanks again, Rodney p.s. I read a comment about the Rigid miter saw stand being on sale 99 bucks instead of 239 plus I know 1 of the Managers, so I'll also get my veterans discount usually pays for the taxes on it : D. I guess it's true once a Marine always a Marine
Just got the same stand. I am impressed with the actual weight of it. Well made and very sturdy. I also have a 12 inch double 12 inch miter saw on it have used it numerous times and really like it, No problems at all after I got the Miter saw mounted in the right position on it to balance it out.
Thinking about buying one?? WOW! After I watched your video review on it I AM BUYING ONE!! You sold me as soon as you unfolded it UPDATE: I bought one online from Lowes for $97 plus tax AND delivered to my doorstep
Thank you for the video very informative my wife bought me one of the stands for my miter saw for my birthday today your explanation of the miter saw table was excellent hope to watch more of your videos...!!!
Great video! Thank you for the detailed review. I just stopped by Harbor Freight today and picked up a Hercules miter saw stand. Its very similar to that one but has paddle knobs to open the legs and the base is a lightweight aluminum. Seems very well built and is getting excellent reviews.
Your "non-professional" camera and narrative give some of the best candid insight for this stand. Some folks on the HF site for this stand gripe about the cheap wheels breaking and a couple of bolts being too short. Hmmmmm I wonder if it really is the stands themselves or perhaps its the operator? I've purchased many, many items from HF and 99% of everything I've ever bought has held up very well. Then again, I always take care of my tools though I do give them a real working. Thanks for the review. I think I'll invest in this stand. Great job, especially for a "non-professional."
There are COUNTLESS videos showing factual proof for MANY of harbor freight's made in china taiwan india junk being the the blame verses operator error: Aside from countless videos, I literally can't count the number of times we had to return things to harbor freight because of them promoting products founded upon extremely poor lack of quality control...factory sealed retail boxes missing fasteners and other parts, plugged it in and doesn't work from the start, used for a week to a month under normal operating parameters and the motor burned up, or EXTREMELY POOR lack of quality control whereby for instance I bought a 20 ton press and it took 3 tries of returning until I got one that could be used. Just one of the huge problems was how the holes were SO MISALIGNED that the bolts wouldn't even start in the holes in order to put the frame together. ....however this saw dolly/stand shown in the video looks to be well built and people who have reported things like wheels breaking and such is because not all of these are made at the same time or same factory thus leaves the door WIDE OPEN to inconsistencies in quality materials and production techniques. Therefore one person who buys it could have gotten parts on it from a production run that was well done, but another person who bought it got parts on theirs from another factory that practiced a half-ass attitude to provide the product based on the guidelines they were to have met.
Just the kind of review I was looking for. I was pretty much convinced, after much research, that this was a safe purchase. I've learned with experience to look closely and carefully at HF items before buying, and a bit of working knowledge about the item is certainly helpful in deciding whether the purchase is worthwhile or a waste of money. That said, I've had pretty good success with most purchases from HF. Being on a fixed income, though, 100 bucks is a chunk of change, so I still needed a little more assurance on dropping that much $$ on this. Your video was just what I needed to see. Answered all my concerns and convinced my wallet to cough it up. On my way to buy one now. Thanks for sharing! (By the way, I subscribed after viewing).
Awesome product review Popo! Thanks. You convinced us to give this miter saw stand a go. Especially like the tip of using the board support as a stop for repetitive cuts. Good stuff, sir.
The metal piece that rotates on the roller wheels is designed to be the stop. You set you roller height to match the height of your saw table then when you need a stop you flip the metal piece up. The benefit of doing it that way is your material is supported on both ends and won’t fall away when you cut it l.
great video... I need to go back to my miter saw stand and use the features you have illustrated that I hadn't taken time to figure out on my own. Thanks. Yes, the instructions were not very comprehensive, but I was able to figure out assembly with no problem.
I purchased one of those stands and I am very pleased with a stand I also purchased a miter saw at the same time from Harbor Freight drove home putting it together miter saw does not mount to the stand had to build an adapter plate which also gave me a place to put my pencil and measuring tape and also those are not rollers on the ends of the supports looks on the packaging is deceiving good video thank you
What a great video. Im a do it yourself chick and bought a new dewalt 12" mitre saw Was looking for just the right stand that I would be able to manipulate This solved my problem Thank you so much for the help and info I have added Pops Woodworks to my "got to" sites on the internet
I bought the Chicago Electric miter saw stand at HF for $100. I set it up in my basement. It works great. I have since moved up the stairs and it was manageable with the saw attached. Using it outside building a fence and it is being exposed to weather; sun, rain, heat, and whatever else. It is proving to be a work stable as I am able to haul it around my hobby farm for various projects. So far, everything works great and there is nothing to break on it. I might buy another one to keep indoors.
39 dislikes? Really? Why? This is just an honest and straight-to-the-point review. There's nothing in the video that would offend anyone. Some people are so sad. Anyway, thank you for the review. I am still debating weather I should buy this one, or aluminum Hercules rated 550lb capacity. Does anyone know how durable are the "wings," aka work supports on this one? It says they can hold up to 400lb, but they look little bit wobbly to be. Thanks in advance.
Hey Popo, 'Thank you for this turorial on the mitre saw stand. If I had '0' carpentry skills, I would feel comfortable working with a mitre saw tanks to the way you presented this video. Keep up the good work and keep all your fingers,,,,Tom
I was just looking at this part and looked for a review. Glad to see it. I think that they way you are using the roller as a stop is incorrect though. That stop flips back and the roller is set at the height of your miter saw. That way when you roll the board to cut for length it is supported by the roller and of course the stop stops the board at your desired length. Thanks for your review.
Thanks for your excellent review and tips. I haven't put my saw on mine yet ( I just assembled it a few minutes ago), but I will soon! I needed a setup where I could cut a bunch of wood for building artist canvases. I will mostly leave the saw up on the stand, but it's good to know how to fold it whenever I need more room. I was thinking I would need my hubby to help me fold it down with the saw on it, but it certainly looks easy enough to do by myself. :)
Thanks for the review. I just got mine and put it together. In recovery from a stroke. Great therapy!! I had to get creative in installing some nuts and bolts due to lack of feeling on the right side. Me likey!! It will be nice not needing to put on shopmate!!! Sidenote saw on another vid, moving the saw to the low end extending opposite legs, THEN move the saw to the now high end lightens up the now low end.
I found a Hitachi UU240R open box deal at Lowe's for 80 bucks. Missing a handle and some hardware. Causing another 50 dollars worth of aggravation. Wished I saw this video first. Nice review. The little flip up thing on the roller can also be used as a stop for longer pieces of trim, setting them on the roller against it. Good luck with your purchase.
WENT TO PURCHASE A RIGID STANd for my ridgid 12 inch saw home depot sold out ..so went back to harbor..Bought a better one..at $.99. Video was awesome ..i followed ur advise.chicago stand is great
My wife got me this for Christmas and I agree, it is a solid product. I also agree with your statement about Harbor Freight's instructions being less than helpful. However, if you can't figure out how to put this together looking at the picture, you probably shouldn't be using power tools. LOL It is really easy to assemble.
The stop on the roller is meant to flip up for same length cuts. The wood is suppose to rest on top of the roller and uses the flipped up stop to make same length cuts.
You know a person is sincere when he doesn't give any thought to appearance when making a serious video....only towards conveying pertinent information about the subject. Wearing an anti-drug "work" T-shirt... swim trunks....socks....clogs and his favorite hat convinced me to go buy this stand.
Great video! Covering benefits and features straight and to the point without the typical, annoying background music that many others feel a need to include in an informative video. I've been looking at this very stand. Actually, if Harbor Freight has this scheduled for a Black Friday special, it would make it virtually impossible to pass up...not that the current price for it is bad! Thanks for taking the time to review the H-F Mitre Saw Stand.
Fantastic review - answered questions I had about it. I saw it on sale at Harbor Freight but wanted to see if it is worth it. I am buying it today. I can't thank you enough.
Thinking about getting this stand. I got a free stationary stand when I bought my Dewalt miter saw, but the saw is really heavy as is the stand and I just need something with wheels. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for this, helped out a lot. FYI - in regards to that flip over stop not sitting straight at a 90, there's no need to use the bar under it - there are 2 options. One is to mount the saw facing the other way as the other stop is already set up to sit at a 90, and the other is to just flip the stop upside down by pressing the silver button at the end of the roller and removing it and putting it back on upside down (just the metal stop, not the whole support assembly). Once it's flipped then it sits at a 90 to the table. Hope this helps someone ;-)
I agree with this. I have the same one, very happy with it, and this is the less expensive one. One of the legs has an adjustment for uneven floors, as well.
Thank you for your review. I agree with you that this was a very good value for the price. Your video and demonstration skills are underrated. You presented many features that we can all appreciate, applying common sense application benefitting us all. You should be compensated.
Great review! I've been thinking of getting this stand for my 12" Hitachi that's currently sitting on a Skil stand I bought back when I had a smaller saw. It works, but the Hitachi is just a bit much for the Skil stand. The HF stand looks considerably stouter than my Skil, and the fold up feature is just what I'm looking for. I'll be getting one soon. Thanks again for a great review!
One thing I might suggest. When you were mentioning you use the roller as a stop block. You were either pushing the wood up to the roller bracket folded to the front (which is angled and wobbly) or you were butting up against the post below the roller. When you butt up against the bracket folded forward, it's not a flat surface and is again wobbly. When you butt up against the post, once you make your cut, there isn't anything to support that end of the board and it might fall on you. The folding bracket on the roller is actually what is supposed to be used as the stop block. Fold it back behind the roller, then raise/lower the roller so it's level with your saw floor. Then this bracket is the stop block, it's flat, and after your cut... the wood is still sitting on the actual roller and won't fall. But great review, I've been spending hours trying to figure out which stand I want and I think you're right... for $100 ($124 on HB with their 20% coupon) I don't think you can go wrong. Thanks!
I bought one too, used a 25% off and a $30 gift card. I paid $66 and change out the door... When you live in a trailer park portable tools are a life saver.
I think you just sold me on purchasing this stand! Harbor Freight should pay you commission for such a great review. Thanks for taking the time to create this video! :-)
just in my opinion, it appears the little flip up plate is the material stop when in the up position, that allows the roller to still support the material after it's cut. Good review and it looks like a decent stand.

This is one of the best reviews I’ve seen that actually helped me make a decision. Thank you. It’s getting bought.

Thanks for the honest, detailed review.I was looking at this stand and several others
Very well made and informative review. One of the better reviews I have ever watched to get information on any product. Clear, precise and to the point. No annoying and distractive background music. You got it right sir and you sold me on this stand ! Thank you.

Thanks for the review Popo. That's a good purchase. This looks like a real winner.
Exactly the type of user review I was looking for. Well done.
I have been holding out on getting this but, now it looks like you just sold me. Nice full review on this product. This is how I like my reviews done. Straight to the point, no bs, and you showed us some tricks that may or may not have been intended as well. HF should throw you a bone, Sir!
Gary Madrigal thanks!!!

Thank you for the review! Is on sale again this week for the holiday so will be purchasing.....for the same reasons you stated.
Hi Popo! Thank you for your very informative review. Because of your review I just bought a stand and love it! Woodworking rocks!!
Thanks for the review, been looking for a while and your review clinched it for me. Used the 20% off coupon and got it for 95 bucks.
Nelson it is a great buy!!
Nrfa thank you!!

I bought one online from Lowes for $97 plus tax AND delivered to my doorstep
Thank you for the video very informative my wife bought me one of the stands for my miter saw for my birthday today your explanation of the miter saw table was excellent hope to watch more of your videos...!!!
Mike Michael’s thanks!!
Great video! Thank you for the detailed review. I just stopped by Harbor Freight today and picked up a Hercules miter saw stand. Its very similar to that one but has paddle knobs to open the legs and the base is a lightweight aluminum. Seems very well built and is getting excellent reviews.
Great explanation of how it works. I got mine as an open box deal and it works great.
Thank you for this video. I purchased this and set it up but was not sure how to lower and make it able to be pushed.
And by the way your garage looks awesome…you can tell it’s well used.
yeah it's on sale again for Memorial Day so I'm getting one - thanks for the review

Thank you for your very good review. I'll buy this miter saw stand! Keep reviewing brother!
Thanks for the review. I just bought this based on your walkthrough. There are probably thousands of us. Harbor Freight should sponsor you.
Ben C Haha I wished they would!!
What a great video. Im a do it yourself chick and bought a new dewalt 12" mitre saw Was looking for just the right stand that I would be able to manipulate This solved my problem Thank you so much for the help and info I have added Pops Woodworks to my "got to" sites on the internet
Great video thank you! Had a hard time finding one that showed actual features when in use and how to store. Heading out to pick one up!
Thanks very much. Because of your review, I'm picking one up on Monday (25% coupon day).
The Habor Freight ad shows the stand on sale for $99. But, today I used a 25% coupon (off full price), and bought it for $89.
I have the 12" saw on mine. Does everything I need it to.
awesome review great job ! I'll say the same thing as the other comments I am heading there tomorrow to pick one up because of your review !
Very good review. Thanks a ton for sharing. I hope to get one this week.
Thanks so much! Great review! I have this stand and was trying to figure out how to collapse for storage. Nicely done sir!
Thank you for your review. You have help me make my decision on purchasing this item.
WENT TO PURCHASE A RIGID STANd for my ridgid 12 inch saw home depot sold out ..so went back to harbor..Bought a better one..at $.99.
Video was awesome ..i followed ur advise.chicago stand is great
Thank you - just so happened to have a 20% coupon good this weekend, so I'm the new owner of this item. Great video
I am so glad you showed how to fold this down. I just purchased one and wasn't sure how to do that. Thanks great stand.
My wife got me this for Christmas and I agree, it is a solid product. I also agree with your statement about Harbor Freight's instructions being less than helpful. However, if you can't figure out how to put this together looking at the picture, you probably shouldn't be using power tools. LOL It is really easy to assemble.
Got it .... very sturdy ....bought this because of ur video....and agreed pictures are good
$89 today at Harbor Freight 3 days tent sale. Getting one today. Ty sir.
I'm going out to the shed right now and unbox both my saw and the stand that I bought from HB. Thanks for the review it was perfect.
Averageskill haha that’s right! Gotta be comfortable.
Just bought this. You are still the only review. Thanks!
Knight's Roundtable your welcome, thanks!!
Thanks for this review! Very helpful my friend.. gonna go grab one in a bit. Thanks again!
Thanks for sharing, purchased mine yesterday, looking forward to utilizing your tips.
Thanks I was just about to start some wood for a miter saw stand or table wasn’t really sure. I think I will go tomorrow and buy one of those.
Me too. LOL
Fantastic review - answered questions I had about it. I saw it on sale at Harbor Freight but wanted to see if it is worth it. I am buying it today. I can't thank you enough.
It's really well built. You will enjoy it!
Been looking for a stand for my miter saw. You've sold me on that one. Thanks!
Thinking about getting this stand. I got a free stationary stand when I bought my Dewalt miter saw, but the saw is really heavy as is the stand and I just need something with wheels. Thanks for the review.
This is a very well made video. Informative and answered all the questions I might have. Thanks for making it.
good review thanks, I picked up the HF hercules miter saw stand and I like you am very impressed with both the quility and the function.
Thanks, it is set-up as you explained on the advertisement picture. So there is a difference.
I agree with this. I have the same one, very happy with it, and this is the less expensive one. One of the legs has an adjustment for uneven floors, as well.
Seems doable and durable. Thank you for the review.
Thank you for your review. I agree with you that this was a very good value for the price. Your video and demonstration skills are underrated. You presented many features that we can all appreciate, applying common sense application benefitting us all. You should be compensated.
English Bulldog Lover thank you!! Haha I wish I could get a kick back lol. Especially since they are using this video on their website now.
Very good review. You just made up my mind on this item! Thanks!
I wish I could give you two thumbs up. Great video. I have this but wasn’t even aware of all the uses it has. Thank you!
This was a great review! Looks like I’m getting one for my miter saw. Thank you!
Thanks!
Great review, thanks. Good idea about using the right support for repeat cuts.
Thanks, looked kinda flimsy in the catalog, but you show it's a lot more solid. Definitely getting one.
Great review, answered all of my questions. Thanks for posting. Nice Crocs by the way.
losbush haha got to love the crocs!!!
I bought one too, used a 25% off and a $30 gift card. I paid $66 and change out the door... When you live in a trailer park portable tools are a life saver.
The plate by the rollers actually is meant as a board stop for repetitive cuts.
I think you just sold me on purchasing this stand! Harbor Freight should pay you commission for such a great review. Thanks for taking the time to create this video! :-)
Very detailed review with plenty of tips. Time to buy one. Thanks!
